Behind The Scenes: Kim Soo Hyun, Seo Ye Ji, And Oh Jung Se Pose for a Family Picture

behind-the-scenes-kim-soo-hyun-seo-ye-ji

"It's Okay To Not Be Okay" captured the hearts of many not only in Korea but also in other parts of the world. It has also been a part of Netflix's Top 10 Most Popular Shows in several countries. Not only does the series talk about mental illness, but it also talks about how one person can change because of the love they receive and give. It also teaches people that in order to make others happy, you have to find that happiness within you first.

The kind of joy that is not attained from material things. That is true happiness.

During the behind-the-scenes of the recent family photo that featured the three main leads - Kim Soo Hyun, Seo Ye Ji, and Oh Jung Se - many were amazed by how well the three looked.

Kim Soo Hyun looked like a model with his excellent body physique. It's no wonder that he could pull any look even casually, as a caregiver, and most especially a formal executive look.

Additionally, Seo Yi Ji seems to be an expert when it comes to photoshoots. It looks like she was born for the camera. Lastly, Oh Jung Se's poses were spectacular; he represented everyone with autism spectrum disorder.

Just by watching the clip, the ambiance was full of energy. Although there were several scenes wherein the three got goofy with each other, especially off-camera, they still managed to make a perfect scene that touched everyone's hearts.

Kudos to the crew behind the camera that made this series such a great one. Kim Soo Hyun brought to life Gang Tae's character, and his expertise of the craft manifested in each scene. Likewise, Seo Ye Ji's acting in this series is truly her break-out role.

Knowing that both of them are signed under the label Gold Medalist, a privately held multinational entertainment group and talent agency, who knows what other projects the two will star in together.

Going back to the clip, Kim Soo Hyun is very particular with his angles and he keeps on checking them. What a professional actor! He really wants each scene to be perfect!

The closeness between the three actors can't also be left unnoticed. It was even caught-on-camera that while he was doing a scene, Seo Ye Ji and Oh Jung Se were silently laughing from closeby.

In one particular scene, Seo Ye Ji can be seen shouting while rehearsing inside the library, and Kim Soo Hyun who was behind the camera made a sign to make her silent, which made her confused. The actress wondered if she made a mistake, then Kim said: "Because we are in the library." How funny!

In the next scene, where the brothers are watching together with a cartoon, the two were improvising their lines making their scripts.

The last scene was in the study room of the mansion. Even while the two are rehearsing their scenes, you just can't deny their chemistry. They even finished the clip with a cute ending.

Considering this is Kim Soo Hyun's first major role since his discharge, what will this CF star bring in the table after this drama series? We hope to see more of Kim So Hyun. Many are also sad knowing the drama series is down to its final episodes.

tvN’s “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” is receiving a lot of love and attention for its unique plot, characters, fashion, and lines.

Spoilers

Spoiler

With just two episodes left until the end, the drama unveiled a memorable line from each of the four main characters that melted viewers’ hearts.

1. Moon Kang Tae (Kim Soo Hyun)

In episode 13, Moon Kang Tae showed up to take a family photo with Go Moon Young (Seo Ye Ji) and his older brother Moon Sang Tae (Oh Jung Se), and this hinted that he was planning to be with her despite their past ill relationship. He said to her, “Come to think of it… it’s pretty neat to protect your family at the risk of your life,” and when asked if that included her, he responded, “If we’ve taken family photos together, we’re family.”

2. Go Moon Young

After transferring the escaped patient from the hospital in episode 4, Go Moon Young and Moon Kang Tae ate ramen at a convenience store. There, she commented he was like a child, and when asked why, she said, “I can see that you want to be loved.” Immediately after her words, a young Moon Kang Tae appeared before her, and viewers were able to see that he wasn’t able to enjoy his childhood like other people.

3. Moon Sang Tae

After finding out that she and Moon Kang Tae were tied to a harsh fate due to their mothers’ ill relationship, Go Moon Young fell into deep despair, and all Moon Kang Tae could do was helplessly watch her suffer. Moon Sang Tae, who was not aware of the fact, tightly hugged his brother. When Moon Kang Tae admitted he was scared, Moon Sang Tae said, “Are you scared? Of course you’re scared. You’re my little brother.” Then he said soothingly reassured, “I’ll protect you. I’m the older brother, so I’m your guardian.”

4. Nam Joo Ri (Park Gyu Young)

After his older brother caused a disturbance at the hospital, Moon Kang Tae became overwhelmed with remorse and guilt. At that particular moment, Nam Joo Ri reminded him about what they always tell their patients. She said, ‘To make the people around me happy, I have to be happy first.’ So being selfish isn’t necessarily a bad thing. If it’s too hard, just think about your own happiness.” Her wise words motivated Moon Kang Tae and encouraged him to ask forgiveness from his brother.

It's Okay To Not Be Okay Finale: Who is Seo Ye Ji's Real Mother, Will Kim Soo Hyun Break the Curse?

Kim Soo Hyun takes psychiatric consultation for the first time in the drama It's Okay To Not Be Okay

Kim Soo Hyun, Seo Ye Ji and Oh Jung Se starrer It's Okay To Not Be Okay drama will be on air with the last two episodes this week. The main characters have come face to face with their fears and the person who caused the fear. Will they overcome the hurdle or be crushed by it is the main crux of the drama that is nearing its end.

The latest images from the drama released by tvN show Kim Soo Hyun taking psychiatric consultation from the hospital director Oh Ji Wang. So far it looked like Kim Soo Hyun (playing Moon Gang Tae) was the one taking care of his autistic brother Oh Jung Se (Moon Sang Tae) and his love interest Seo ye Ji (Ko Mun Yeong) who has anti-social disorder. But the penultimate episode to be aired on August 8 is all set to show that all is not well with Kim Soo Hyun.

Kim Soo Hyun, Seo Ye Ji

A still of Kim Soo Hyun and Seo Ye Ji from the last episode of the drama It's Okay To Not be Okay Twitter

One needs to watch the episode to know if past experiences are worrying him or the problems he is facing in the present made him choose the psychiatric consultation. Is Kim Soo Hyun trying to reveal another mystery?

Revealing The Other Side of The Story

The drama had many instances where the other side of the story was communicated through the characters.

Be it the story of Cinderella or the Boy Who Cried Wolf, the interpretations were completely different from what is being told in the mainstream.

Instead of victimizing Cinderella, protagonist Seo Ye Ji interpreted it as the failure on the part of Cinderella's father for leaving her alone and making her miserable. Moreover, according to Seo Ye Ji, Cinderella does not need the prince to save herself but all that she needs is to have faith in herself and work toward not being miserable.

So far the Boy Who Cried Wolf was interpreted as a story with a moral that you cannot fool someone all the time. But according to Seo Ye Ji, the boy in the mountain was crying wolf as he was alone and lonely. He thought that was the only way to get people to his side of the world.

Kim Soo Hyun

Is it really okay to not be okay?

In the same way, Kim Soo Hyun looked strong and looked after those in the need, but in reality he might be keeping all his frustrations inside. Thus the drama might be trying to put across the message that even people who look perfectly fine might be in need of care and healing.

It's Okay To Not Be Okay is not a drama where two perfect people meet each other and lead a perfect life, nor about a perfect person helping the other to be perfect. Instead it is about two people with differences and imperfections understanding each other and making each other happy while being on each other's side while overcoming the hurdles. So, It's really Okay To Not Be Okay.

Do Hui Jae Not Seo Ye Ji's Mother?

Meanwhile, there is another theory doing rounds and that is about Do Hui Jae played by Jang Young Nam (who plays Seo Ye Ji's mother). Torn apart by evil intentions of Do Hui Jae and the fact that she killed Kim Soo Hyun's mother, the couple struggle to find their way back. Can Soo Hyun love Ye Ji even when he knows his mother was killed by hers?

The new theory is that Doe Hui Jae is not Seo Ye Ji's biological mother. Probably this would solve the problem and bring the couple back together. Whether this theory holds any truth will be revealed in the final episode of It's Okay To Not be Okay.

Episode 15 of the drama will be aired on August 8 on tvN at 10 p.m. KST. The finale will be aired on August 9 on tvN at 10 p.m. KST. The two episodes will also be available on Netflix.

“It’s Okay To Not Be Okay” Producer Teases What To Look Forward To In Finale + Praises Cast

b6ed0d720c1d4bf292c1158e22620356.jpeg?s=

As tvN’s “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” winds to a close, chief producer (CP) So Jae Hyun sat down to talk about the drama and its upcoming finale.

“It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” is a unique romance drama about the love story between Moon Kang Tae, a community health worker at a psychiatric ward who doesn’t have time for love (played by Kim Soo Hyun), and Go Moon Young, a successful children’s book author who suffers from antisocial personality disorder and has never known love (played by Seo Ye Ji).

With just one episode left in its run, So Jae Hyun expressed disbelief that the drama was already coming to an end. “It seems like just yesterday that we were filming in the chilly days of early spring, and now we’re already approaching the end of the drama in the middle of summer,” he remarked. “I want to thank all the amazing actors who helped ‘It’s Okay to Not Be Okay’ shine.”

From the outset, “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” received a great deal of attention due to the fact that it marked Kim Soo Hyun’s very first drama since his return from the military last year. Although So Jae Hyun praised all of the cast members for their stellar acting and contributions to the drama, he spoke highly of Kim Soo Hyun’s performance in particular.

Describing his importance to the drama as a whole, the CP commented, “Kim Soo Hyun is an actor who became the sturdy central axis of our drama over the course of 16 episodes.” He also sang the praises of leading lady Seo Ye Ji, remarking, “She’s an actress who perfected Go Moon Young, who was a new kind of character that hadn’t been seen in romantic comedies before.”

Kim-Soo-Hyun-Seo-Ye-Ji1.jpg

So Jae Hyun continued, “I was able to feel the cast’s fondness for the drama and their passion from seeing the twinkle in their eyes on set: Oh Jung Se, who took on a difficult acting challenge and exceeded our expectations; Park Gyu Young, who was constantly praised by the crew; and everyone who played the staff at the publishing company and the psychiatric hospital.” Playing off the drama’s title, he added, “I think we were able to create a truly ‘okay’ drama because of our unparalleled cast.”

“I myself received a lot of healing and comfort from [the drama], and I think I will remember it as a good memory for a long time,” he went on. “Thank you so much to everyone; you all worked really hard.”

Finally, So Jae Hyun hinted at what viewers could look forward to in the drama’s highly-anticipated series finale.

“Up until now, we’ve shown you the process of Kang Tae, Moon Young, and Sang Tae embracing and healing each other’s emotional wounds,” said the CP. “In the final episode, you can look forward to seeing what lies ahead for these three people after they achieve emotional growth.”

He warmly added, “I hope that watching these characters inspires viewers to think of themselves as precious and to take the time to worry about their own happiness.”

3d1f93d2d45b42658f87ec7efabd2581.jpeg?s=

tvN’s weekend drama “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” is coming to an end soon.

“It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” tells the story of Moon Kang Tae (Kim Soo Hyun), a community health worker at a psychiatric ward, and Go Moon Young (Seo Ye Ji), a children’s storybook writer with antisocial personality disorder.

With just the final episode remaining, “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” revealed three main points to look out for in the finale.

Spoilers

Spoiler

Moon Kang Tae and Go Moon Young’s sweet romance

Moon Kang Tae and Go Moon Young’s relationship has gone through numerous ups and downs throughout the drama. The conflict between them reached a climax due to the reappearance of Go Moon Young’s mother Do Hee Jae (Jang Young Nam), who was revealed to be the murderer of Moon Kang Tae’s mother. Viewers are curious about how the couple’s relationship will change after Do Hee Jae’s arrest.

In the end, Moon Kang Tae and Go Moon Young take off their masks and let go of the weight on their shoulders, each seeing the other for who they truly are. Their romance is set to escalate from the moment they face each other with sincerity. The sweetness of their relationship will be an important part of the final episode.

Go Moon Young and Moon Sang Tae’s fairy tale

Go Moon Young had been working on a fairy tale together with Moon Sang Tae (Oh Jung Se) about a boy who wears a smiling mask, a princess with no capacity for emotions, and a man who lives inside a box. However, in order to apologize for what her mother did to Moon Kang Tae and Moon Sang Tae’s mother, Go Moon Young decided to stop writing and push the two men away. However, when Go Moon Young asked the brothers to leave her castle, Moon Sang Tae replied, “Over my dead body,” revealing his desire to stay by her side and help her finish her book.

Moon Sang Tae had also been working on drawing facial expressions, something that was difficult for him. He practiced by observing and drawing other people’s faces in order to complete the homework that Go Moon Young had given him and draw illustrations that suited her story. Go Moon Young recognizes his hard work, but also can’t bring herself to finish her fairy tale due to her guilt and regret. With the two brothers doing their best to comfort her, whether or not she will be able to finish her fairy tale is a key question that will be answered in the final episode.

The trio’s first trip together

Go Moon Young travels all over with Moon Kang Tae and Moon Sang Tae, who have never been on a proper vacation before. Although they aren’t going anywhere as far away as the Serengeti, the trio’s very first trip together will nonetheless bring them happiness and solace. They also bring a special gift with them on their trip, which is given to them by someone unexpected. The gift is expected to help create a perfect end to the drama. The trip will also create space for the trio’s emotional growth as they become even closer to one another.

The final episode of “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” airs on August 9 at 9 p.m. KST.
