but yay yay~! finally new dorama with maki^^

haven't read the original manga but i heard the 1st dorama kabachitare got good reviews and ratings!

hope this will be a hit dorama as well XD

Sho Sakurai(27) of Arashi and actress Maki Horikita (21) co-star TBS serial drama “Tokujo Kabachi” which starts from 17 January at 21:00 Sunday. The scene of this comedy drama is at administrative scriveners’ office in Shinkuju, Tokyo. Tamura, he leading Role (Sakurai) who aims for administrative scrivener is not only clumsy but also fireball who tries to help people alternative way. Sumiyoahi (Horikita) proficient administrative scrivener who is poor loser and a former rascal. They confront an issue with odd combination. The reason to hire Sakurai, “However he says law term and passionate lines, it can be heard brisk.” About Horikita “She is match to carrier women who is “tsundere” (cold and strict at first or in public, but becomes all lovey-dovey when they are alone together) Story line is developed by dialogue of indecisiveness M character (Sakurai) and nymphetic S character (Horikita). this is very exciting since maki gets a whole new change of a character <3 im soo anticipating this ! the main role sooo fits sho-chan's character too (: hahaa

Sakurai Sho rescues the weak in TBS drama 'Tokujou Kabachi!

On 12th November, TBS announced that Arashi's Sakurai Sho (27) will play the lead role in TBS drama 'Tokujou Kabachi!!' (starts 17th January 2010, Sundays at 9). The drama follows the struggles of administrative scriveners who use the law as a weapon to fight for the weak. Horikita Maki (21) will also star in their first work together. With the same broadcast time as NTV's 'Gyouretsu no Dekiru Houritsu Soudansho', it will be a showdown between two law-themed programs.

Sakurai plays the main character Tamura Katsuhiro, a meddlesome character with a burning sense of justice. After his mother was given help, Tamura longs to enter into the world of public notary. In reality he thinks "Law my richard simmons, this isn't right at all!" as he complains and uses the law to help out the weak. The drama with its comical and serious aspects will make viewers think about questions like 'What is justice?' and 'How should people lead their lives?'

On the other hand, Horikita plays the shrewd administrative scrivener Sumiyoshi Misuzu, a former delinquent who hates to lose so much that she has been known to sever ties after losing a game of rock-paper-scissors. Confrontations arise at every opportunity between the complete opposites, the herbivorous Tamura and carnivorous Misuzu, but as time goes by they begin to understand each other.

"'Being a daredevil is not a bad thing'. And 'It's cool to work with all one's might'. I want to reaffirm those ideas as I portray Tamura," commented Sakurai. Others in the cast include Nakamura Masatoshi, Endo Kenichi, Takahashi Katsumi and Asano Yuko.

In the works is also a quiz aired during the program itself. Viewers will send in their answers during the broadcast time. The winner will then receive a call from Sakurai or other cast members, in a first of its kind trial project.

I got this from the yamaki forum. I really like this scan, especially the picture where they post together. :)

-Also heard Maki will be guesting on Arashi's variety show HnA on the 17th. But it's not to promote this drama but it's still related to ShoMaki* :P

-Sho just went on to Osamu no Branch to promote the drama with Maki on VTR.*
