The CNBLUE leader and actor took on the unique concept, 'listless morning after getting drunk,' for the pictorial, which was released on November 21. During an interview with the magazine, Yonghwa said of his members, "All of the four members have different styles, making it hard to choose one so let's go with me being the coolest."

He also revealed that his style is similar to the style shown in the pictorial, sharing, "My normal style is very similar [to the concept's style]... Although I like a fashion style similar to that of Kurt Cobain, these days, I enjoy wearing training pants."

CNBlue Jeong Yong-hwa calls new solo album 'perfect'

Despite the fact that "One Fine Day" is CNBlue member Jeong Yong-hwa's first solo album, the star feels confident about his new work.

He wrote all 10 tracks and collaborated with several local musicians, including rocker Yoon Do-hyun and rapper Verbal Jint, in an attempt to differentiate the record from what he has done with the band. 

"All 10 songs are my children and I'm 100 percent satisfied with them", said Jeong in a recent interview with Ilgan Sports, an affiliate of the Korea JoongAng Daily.

"I don't think there's anything to modify. I think it is perfect".

During his showcase for the new album a day before its release on Tuesday, Jeong said he wanted to show the best of what he can do with the album. 

"I think I wanted to show off that I can make these songs, or I can also sing these songs", he said. 

Q. What is the difference between your solo album and the albums you have released under CNBlue?

A. I didn't try to change the color I have because I can't just suddenly break dance just to make my solo album different from the group's.


But I tried to differentiate my own work by putting in additional color through my collaborations with other musicians. 

Would you also play an instrument on stage for a solo performance?

That was something I did differently. When I'm a member of CNBlue, I'm always on stage with an instrument, so I thought being without one could make a visual difference.

Is there a reason why you put songs from different genres on the same album?

I've been planning to make an album for more than two years and it's been more than a year since I really started to make one. I'm not saying I wanted to get away from CNBlue; I just wanted to try something new. In fact, two years ago I was wondering whether I should try heavier rock music, but at some point, I started to like calm and softer music that is easier on the ears. Then I learned that I liked emotional songs. 

Many of the songs are love stories. Do they reflect your own experiences?


Usually I put my own stories into my songs. But if you think about it, I would have to be dating three people every month just to make around the 20 songs I release per year, including the tracks on CNBlue's albums. Otherwise, I would be out of stories. [Laughs] Instead I use experiences from TV dramas and movies whenever I'm out of ideas. 

There are rumors that say you had a really hard time putting together this album. What was it like?

I went through a slump. I felt that everything that everyone was telling me was a lie and I couldn't figure out why I was doing what I was doing. 

I drank wine a lot by myself. I was so negative about everything and even words of worry from others like "Are you okay?" got on my nerves. But, fortunately, I think the emotions I felt spread throughout the album in a good way. 

Are there any other artists you want to work with?


I didn't work with any female artists, so I want to do a duet next time if it's possible. I like Ailee and IU. I would also say singer Sunwoo Jeong-a because her voice is so charming.

Attempting to become the king of communication through his one-man show, CN Blue′s Jung Yong Hwa shared honest thoughts with M.I.B′s Kangnam. 

On the upcoming January 29 broadcast of Jung Yong Hwa′s Hologram, Jung Yong Hwa tranformed into a one-day DJ to satisfy the curiosity of fans, which has been growing for six years since CN BLUE′s debut. 

Changing up the studio to appear like a radio booth, Jung Yong Hwa and Kangnam will answer questions through the segment, ′Are You Curious.′

On this broadcast, Jung Yong Hwa gathered attention by saying, "I fixed my drinking habit." 

"Before, I had the habit of always paying the bill when I drank. The next morning, I would check the receipts and regret it, but now I wait patiently until a different person pays." 

Kangnam then added, "I also had a sunbae who had the habit of paying the bill a lot, so I used to drink with him a lot."

Kangnam asked questions covering the topics of Jung Yong Hwa′s real height, ideal type and drinking habits, as Jung Yong Hwa answered honestly. Kangnam made sure to say that Jung Yong Hwa couldn′t reject the questions, leading the segment for the fans in a bright atmosphere. 

After starting up his one-man show in his single house with the help of his celebrity friends, Jung Yong Hwa shared how he prepared for his first solo album and even revealed his music studio. 

In the first episode, Jung Yong Hwa introduced his friends and daily life. The second episode will share what kind of musical interests Jung Yong Hwa has. Jung Yong Hwa is expected to capture viewers with things his fans have been curious about, like his worry-filled lyrics notebook. 

The four-episode reality show, Jung Yong Hwa′s Hologram, is a one-man show that was produced, directed, filmed, and appeared by Jung Yong Hwa, who fills the screen with various stories. In an attempt to get closer to fans, Jung Yong Hwa worked hard to create ′one-man media contents.′

Jung Yong Hwa′s Hologram airs both the actul episode as well as other digital contents, which can be viewed online.

CNBLUE leader and actor Jung Yong Hwa does hope to get married but if you are waiting for him to propose you may have a long wait.

The 25-year-old is giving himself a few decades.

The star of "You're Beautiful," "Heartstrings," "Future's Choice" and "Three Musketeers" recently appeared on the MBC program "Picnic Live" and met with some single women in their 30s. He was asked whether he would ever get married.

The women in the audience supplied some fictional candidates. They suggested Chun Song Yi, played by Jun Ji Jyun in the drama "You Who Came From The Stars" and Oh Ro Jin, the role played by Hwang Jung Eum in "Kill Me, Heal Me." They also suggested the grandmother Kang Gye Yeol from the documentary film "My Love, Don't Cross The River."

What was he looking for in a woman?

"It would be great if it was a girl that could understand the demands of my profession, listen to music with me and someone I could talk about music with," he said.

But he must not have met such a girl, because he said that he never seriously thought about marriage. There have been dating rumors before, linking him up with co-star Park Shin Hye and Girls Generation's Seohyun. But he denied those rumors.

In the past he has said that he likes relationships that are more like friendships but so far none of his friendships have progressed far enough to be serious. He did say that he wanted to be married before he turned 50.

"By 45 or 47 at the latest," he said. "Any later than that and I'm afraid that I'll lose to other dads when playing sports."

While he might really be prepared to wait that long, the popular singer and actor is also known for his sense of humor.

In a 2014 interview with the Korean media outlet The Star he described his ideal type. He likes a girl who is easy-going and who won't snap at him.

"Someone who can accept me the way I am, who doesn't play games with me,' he said. "I like that kind of person. I have a casual manner. Of course I will do all I can do for her. For example, I can write or sing songs for her, but celebrating event days is not my things. I don't even know my schedule."

His April 16 appearance on "Picnic Live" also includes performances of his songs "Last Leaf, "Like a Child" and "Mileage."

Jung Yong Hwa has a sense of humor. He likes to make jokes on variety shows, to joke around on set and he can deliver funny scenes in rom coms.

He has even attempted to be funny in English. And now he may try another language. The CNBLUE singer and actor will appear on the fourth season of the Chinese sketch comedy show "Diors Man." He will play a friend of the show's host Da Peng.

It's not known whether he will have to speak Chinese or whether there will be subtitles.

There's no precedent for a Korean idol appearing on the program because Jung Yong Hwa is the first Korean star to appear on the program.

While he may not have a command of the language the show's producers think he does have an understanding of Chinese culture.

"Jung Yong Hwa is one of the Hallyu artists who understands the Chinese culture very well," said a "Diors Man" representative. "Thanks to his efforts and many requests from our Chinese fans, we decided to contact him with a casting offer."

The actor's dramas are popular in China and he often performs there. In Dec. 2014, the band was the only Korean artists to participate in the 2015 iQiyi Night awards ceremony in Beijing. The band sang "Can't Stop" and "I'm Sorry" and won the Best Group award.

On his own he won The Hottest Korean Star and Gaeon-Weibo Chart's Most Influential Star awards at the 2015 Hong Kong Weibo Star Awards ceremony.

 "Diors Man" is a sketch comedy and variety show with actress Tang Wei and actress singer Fan Bing Bing. It's a very popular show that generated over one billion views at the end of season three.

Jung Yong Hwa will appear in the show's fourth season but it is not yet known what date he will appear on. Season four of the program begins in May.

Jung Yong Hwa's last drama was "Three Musketeers." This year he was also a guest on a half-dozen variety shows, including "Infinite Challenge," "Golden Fishery Radio Challenge" and Yu Huiyeol's Sketchbook. He hosted his own reality program "Yonghwa's Hologram," which focused on his real life.
