Yes, that script reading is from Ms. Temper.  After I posted, I’ve gone back to checking on MT for confirmation.

 

May I ask what is your fav genre, Avalon?

 

Here’s a real experience for me.  Fantasy isn’t my cup of tea, but 49 Days has becoming my second fav drama of Yowon after QSD up to this point.  It has great story, very meaningful and thought-provoking theme.  Plus, the acting is excellent.  I didn’t expect I would love 49 Days so much, and now look how it is on the top of my list just below my most precious QSD.  And that’s saying a lot.

 

Although the subject matter/characters settings are not too keen for you at the moment, you might never know for sure till you watch it.  If it’s not for the story, at least you can look forward to the acting.  I’m expecting stellar performances from the 3 main characters, and certainly most from Yowon for her complex character description.  She would have quite a lot of emotional conflicts with her parents who raised her up, in addition to the prosecutor.  Also, the transition of her demeanor, gestures or expressions from the surgeon to secret agent should be interesting.   

Actually I don't like watching drama... drama is too long, Japanese drama is a bit better because it's short. And I never find a drama which is perfect from the beginning to the end. So I prefer to watch movies.

 

I don't have specific preference, if I must to say, maybe horror film is the one that I don't like that much. I won't choose a work by its genre. I will read the summary to see if it's attractive and interesting. I like those stories which are unexpected or meaningful.  

 

Of course I can't judge DD before watching it. But everyone will have a expectation after reading the summary. I have very low expectation to this drama, I also say I hope they can surprise me. To be honest, I have watched six Yo Won's dramas, and always the same, I thought it was good at the beginning but in the middle it started to make me feel it was dragged. Then I started to skip some parts...maybe that's the problem of TV series because of the long duration. 

 

Of course we can expect the acting of good actors, but sometimes even good acting can't save a bad story. The previous work of the DD's director "Saimdang, Memoir of Colors" is like this situation orz...anyway, I will watch DD and see what it goes.

I think it’s hard to ask for just acting alone to save any drama.  It’s rarely the case, if at all.  Nevertheless, let’s take a look at NL while we’re at it. Although considering the int’l fans love it, I still can’t say its script is well-written or good.  This is a special case because of Yowon’s mesmerizing performance, it has actually saved the drama for me.  As a result of her amazing aura or how she carrying out her mannerism for the appearance of Daepyonim, I could always come back to see her scenes again, not coz of the story.

These are for not that bad story dramas. For me NL's script is just not good enough, but it's not bad. I can give 80+ out of 100 for NL EP01-EP07 and after EP07 the score drops to 60-70...60-70 is an average score, so with Daepyonim's charisma I can still finish watching it. And I think in NL, not only LYW's character is good, other roles are also good, such as Tak, writer Kim, Mr. Jo and family of Tianjin Finance, I like those three generations.  Son Ma Ri is cute. With these interesting roles and a good beginning I think NL is not a bad work. 

 

And NL is NL, DD is DD, we have to wait till DD is aired to see whether Yo Won's role is attractive or not. 

 

Besides the story and the characters setting are not attracted to me, plus I don't have faith to DD's writer and director. The director's previous work "Saimdang, Memoir of Colors" is a disaster. I haven't watched it. But I have checked its rating and read Taiwanese fans' comments. Many Lee Young Ae fans can't finishing watching it. This explains it is really bad so even LYA's hard core fans can't finish it.

Exactly that's the point!  Therefore, we should hold on until then before we could conclude of our perception to the series.

I read about Danjin City of Korea, where they’ve built the set for DD.  With the intention for it to be tourists’ attraction site, they probably have replicated some Shanghai structures there as well for necessary scenes.  Since they also need extras for 6 months, it makes sense they would film locally, most likely.

Surprised they released storyboard images this early.  I can't see really well but I think LYJ is the one where someone covering her mouth and sticking the gun at her.  There is another image could be her is the one in military uniform with a cap and her pointing gun in front.

Actor Yoon Jung Hwa has confirmed to appear in DD as Ishida Shimizu, who is greatly affected by eugenicism.  He’s a Deputy Director of surgery at Chosun Governor General Hospital.  He probably would have confrontation with LYJ.
