Just watched the first two episodes of What's Up, which are the strongest first two episodes I have seen in a very long time. As someone who dabbles in photography, that drama is very pretty to look at, which is something I noticed about newer dramas - they all look like they were shot by photographers. Almost all the actors in What's Up are impressive but something about Im Joo Eun bugs me (in a good way of course)... could be the eyes which unfortunately triggered the 'did she or did she not get surgery' question. I say unfortunate because as I grow older, I realise that notwithstanding my disapproval of plastic surgery, it should not affect any assessment of the quality of acting... unless we're talking about botox jabs which make their faces atrophied. Anyways, since I have to wait for What's Up, I decided to catch Hon. Not perfect but wow, I hope What's Up gives Joo Eun some really challenging scenes and test her skills because she makes acting look too easy in Hon. I should note that both characters (in Hon and What's Up) are quite distinct and i often forget they're played by the same actress. I certainly hope she keeps acting, at least until i go to my grave since I don't believe in the afterlife. She has reskindled my interest in korean dramas and effectively ended my 2 year absence from Soompi.

She deserves better than just a supporting role. Hope she will get casted as a lead role or the second heroine. She was so good in Hon/Soul , What's Up and Wild Romance. I liked her more than the heroine in Wild Romance. Her management better find a good role for her.

I really hope that Im Joo Eun will get a lead role soon. Im Joo Eun on her SNS posted the picture with the text, "'Heirs' airs today. Let's watch together!" on October 22, 2013.

In the picture, Choi Jin Hyuk diligently stares at the camera, while Im Joo Eun smiles.

The two play Kim Won (Choi Jin Hyuk), an heir of the Nation Group, and Hyung Joo (Im Joo Eun), who is a genious but ends up working parttime as Hyo Shin's (Kang Ha Neul) tutor to make money.
