Guest orangecake
Anyone can translate this Japanese word into Chinese fast? ニュースの女 I prefer a literal translation... thnx! ごめんね~。 私は中国語に訳せないけど・・・。 これは、(たぶん)ドラマのタイトルなので、直訳じゃなくて、意訳した方がいいと思います。 「ニュースの女」 = 主人公の女性 = 報道番組のアンカーマン 誰か、中国語の堪能な人、訳してあげて~。

Guest Nana
Anyone can translate this Japanese word into Chinese fast? ニュースの女 I prefer a literal translation... thnx! 新闻的妇女? I don't speak Chinese so I'm not a 100% sure if it's right but it means News Woman. ニュースの女, literal translation is woman of News. But I dunno how to translate that literally into Chinese. Tamago86
Like orangecake said it's the name of a drama series in Japan so it would not translate literally into Chinese. The chinese version of ニュースの女 is 新聞女郎
Guest orangecake
今日から 6月です。 きょう から ろくがつ です。 本格的な「梅雨」の季節の到来です。 ほんかくてき な 「つゆ」 の きせつ の とうらい です。 ちょこっとムツカシイ日本語。 梅雨(つゆ) 梅雨前線(ばいう ぜんせん) こんな言葉、知ってる? 「狐の嫁入り」 (きつね の よめいり) (日が照っているのに、小雨が降っている状況のこと)

Guest l'uomo
Hi! I was wondering if there was a word for "Vegetarian Sushi"? I thought it was Maki sushi, but that just means roll sushi, lol Thanks a bunch!
Guest putasmileon
Hi! I was wondering if there was a word for "Vegetarian Sushi"? I thought it was Maki sushi, but that just means roll sushi, lol Thanks a bunch! I've seen 野菜すし【やさいすし】yasai sushi written before. However, I'm not sure if that's an official term. I'd probably say that, anyway.

As far as I know...in Japan, we call it "California Roll" in Sushi restaurant even it's not exactly from California haha. The name カリフォルニアロール first introduced as one vegetarian roll with avocado and some other vegetables. We thought that is unique and after that even the ingredients are not the same, we call it "California roll" in general.

Haha interesting... my California Rolls (I think they have them back in California, haha) have artificial crab leg (in little bits mixed with Kewpie Mayonnaise キューピー!) salad, avocado, きゅうり (Japanese cucumber), and まさご (capelin roe). Occasionally, I mix it up a bit and add salmon in it (raw of course). I guess without the fish it's vegetarian... but the capelin roe is fish isn't it? Well they substitute Capelin Roe with sesame seed in a vegetarian dish anyway, so I guess there isn't like an official term? Well I guess yasai sushi is alright i too, thought it was yasai sushi.. but it seemed too literal, lol Thanks for the help
