Won Bin and Lee Na Young’s Agency Denies Rumors of Pregnancy and Marriage

 

 

One tabloid recently stated that the acting couple Won Bin and Lee Na Young have gotten their first child and are planning to have their wedding.

In response, Eden Nine Entertainment, housing both Won Bin and Lee Na Young, told My Daily, “That’s unheard of. It’s not true.”

Won Bin and Lee Na Young admitted their relationship back in 2013. After Lee Na Young moved to Won Bin’s company in 2011, they showed interest in each other and later became a couple.

At the time, their company stated, “Won Bin and Lee Na Young ran into each other often through different works and advertisements, which led them to have interest in each other. Please watch them with care.”

SEOUL, May 30 (Yonhap) -- Well-known Hallyu or Korean Wave star Won Bin who gained popularity for his role in the popular TV series "Autumn in My Heart," married actress Lee Na-young on Saturday, their agency said.

The wedding was held in Won Bin's hometown of Jeongseon, Gangwon Province, with only select family members and close friends invited, Eden9 Entertainment Co. Ltd. said in a news release.

The two have been in a relationship for years which was first officially confirmed by the agency in 2013.

"It was a small family-focused wedding," an agency official said.

Since earning fame in the TV drama which spearheaded the so-called "Hallyu," or the Korean Wave, the 39-year-old actor has starred in many local blockbusters including "Taegukgi" and "Mother," directed by Bong Joon-ho. "Mother" had competed in the 2009 Cannes Film Festival.

The 36-year-old Lee made her debut as a TV commercial model and later earned a major place in the entertainment field.

The two have not appeared on the TV or the silver screen since the early 2010s except for some TV commercials.

On May 30th, Won Bin and Lee Na Young's management agencies released official reports about their wedding ceremony, which was held at Won Bin's hometown in Gangwon Province.

In the reports, they said, "Lee Na Young and Won Bin's wedding ceremony was held on May 30th."

They continued, "After deciding to get married, they decided to do the wedding ceremony that they have been dreaming about for so many years. They chose a green field to hold the wedding ceremony on, and they made every single decision related to their wedding ceremony."

They also said, "The reason why Won Bin and Lee Na Young kept everything secret was because they wished to announce this news to their fans before anyone else does. The wedding ceremony was held at a nameless trail that is located in Gangwon Province, and the two made the most precious memory with their family members and friends."

They went on, "There are many people that Won Bin and Lee Na Young wanted to invite to the wedding, but they decided to keep the ceremony small by their family members' wish."

Regarding their honeymoon, the agencies said, "They will decide their honeymoon destination after they finish their schedules."

Regarding Won Bin and Lee Na Young's plan for babies, they said, "Won Bin and Lee Na Young are both dreaming to make a one big happy family. We realize how much many people would be waiting for their baby, but a baby's birth is not something that they can decide."

Won Bin and Lee Na-young got married. They are a top star couple also known as the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie of Korea. The two of them got married in a quiet village and had a small wedding without the fuss of having a huge top star wedding. Why though?

There are a few things that can be mentioned when it comes to top star weddings. Media and the spotlight, a luxury hotel wedding hall with celebrity guests who look like they're going to an award show and more fanciness and fuss than a regular wedding are some. The wedding alone is confusion enough but it's true that celebrities have more pressure on their shoulders when their wedding becomes the hottest topic not only in the showbiz but publicly as well.

However, there's a new trend called the 'small wedding'. Those who want a more meaningful and simple wedding or even a more unique one, do it this way.

The sudden wedding between Won Bin and Lee Na-young suited them well as they are usually kept under the veil most of the times.

The two of them got married in Gangwon-do with only the closest of family and friends and claimed that it was the kind of wedding they had imagined of for a long time. They looked around for the field they wanted to get married on and even picked out the flowers on their own. They wanted to do everything personally to make their once in a lifetime day special.

Singer Lee Hyori and Lee Sang-soon set an example of a 'small wedding' first. My future companion and I are taking a step towards the future together and we thought about having a wedding that revolved around us and only us".
