Song Joong Ki was warmly welcomed in his Thailand Fan Meeting

“Descendants of the Sun” hallyu star Song Joong Ki is loved not only in Korea but also in the country, Thailand!

Song Joong Ki met his 4000 fans in Thailand for his tour “2016 Asia Tour Fan Meeting” on May 7. The said tour started on April 17 in Korea and this Thailand tour is the continuation.

They had the three hour interaction with Song Joong Ki. From handshake event, talk, performances and even close interactions with the actor happened in the said fan meet.

It was reported that many fans waited for him at the airport and he is considered the top hallyu star nowadays in Thailand.

Song Joong Ki will also be holding fan meet events in Beijing, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Shangzheng, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Chengdu, and Taipei.

Song Joong-ki out to get Asia

Hallyu star Song Joong-ki opened the doors to Asia with a bang.

Song Joong-ki met with over 4,000 fans at the Thunder Dome for the '2016 Song Joong-ki Asian Fan Meeting in Bangkoo on May 7. Even though it's been about a month since the last airing of drama "Descendants of the Sun" ended, the popularity hasn't subsided.

The ticket sales began last month and 4,000 seats sold out as soon as it opened. It's been 4 years since the 2012 fan meeting and the size has doubled as well as Song Joong-ki's popularity.

There were several flash cards of Song Joong-ki 'I love you' and 'National husband is here' at the airport on the 4th of May when he arrived in Thailand. Around the fan meeting location were fans who weren't able to get their tickets on time.

Prior to the fan meeting, Song Joong-ki had interviews with local media and he arrived at 7PM in beige pants and a white shirt. He was surprised by the enormous greeting from fans and was bowing down the Buddhism way shortly after.

For 3 hours, he kept talking about his most favorite "Descendants of the Sun" scenes and some of them were: tying Song Hye-kyo's shoelaces, taking her cell phone, doing her necklace and more. He also introduced the songs, "Always" by Yoon Mi-rae and "Like A Child" by Kim Dong-yool, which are a couple of OSTs from the drama. Fans thanked him by holding up "I Love You Song Joong-ki" signs.

Meanwhile, Song Joong-ki will be going around China from the 14th to the 25th for his fan meeting.

I think the Chinese fan club I got it from has closed the preorders for the time being. Don't worry too much about it for now. I think it should be possible to get a ticket eventually. I may have an extra but it's too early for me to say for sure at this point..
