Hello avex Star Search applicants,

Since last summer, we have received applications from everywhere in the US. Every applicant was unique and we enjoyed seeing your talents that you shared with us. All of the applicants had a passion to perform and share their talents with the world. As we are an entertainment company, we were very happy to see such passionate applicants with shining dreams. We thank all of you who made such efforts to be a part of our audition.

When we visited Hilo and Honolulu in Hawaii, many of you showed up to share their talents. We were grateful to see such a large turnout. We thank all of those who shared their talents, skills, and smiles with us on the islands of Hawaii.

We regret that this year, no one was chosen to be a part of our final audition. We understand that you all will be disappointed, but we came to a conclusion where we could not invite anybody to a final audition because we were unable to promise semi-finalists anything in the future.

We understand all of you want to know the reason of our decision. We have many various reasons but one thing we can share with you is that all the semi-finalists were talented and skilled. Unfortunately, the semi-finalists were not what we were looking for at this time. Please understand that you cannot win avex Star Search only if you are very talented, skilled, or beautiful. Above all things, you have to have "something special" that attracts us.

Well they did say keep checking back for 2010 audition info so i'm hoping they'll do it again! Hopefully this time they'll come to the states!
