Opera is the one browser I haven't tried yet. I'll probably try it soon anyway but I was just wondering what your inputs were. I like Firefox better than IE, but does Opera top it?

**And for web designers out there, how's it work for you? As we know, IE is a richard simmons to code for, and Firefox does it right...is Opera the same way?

What I like about Opera is the fact that it uses less of my limited system memory. Firefox would often use a large portion of my ram and would push the processor percentage into the 90s- Opera uses about half of what firefox does. Opera can get a little annoying with password protected sites (at least in version 9 beta). All it can do is remember your passwords with what it calls the "wand" so that each time you exit the browser, you have to log in. This may seem minor, but I really like how in Firefox your password history is completely saved. Thus I don't even have to click anything to log in- i just stay logged in after exiting. Opera has a different download manager that works with torrents too, but I still use an external program instead of this. Also, Opera has a "fastforward/rewind" feature that takes you back to the previous domain you were at, which is quite convienent. I still choose Opera over Firefox, but hope they change how it remembers passwords in the future versions.

i used to use ie..tried firefox but i hated it..i just didnt like it even though almost everyone i know loves it..but i tried out opera a couple months ago and i love it..its pretty fast and easy to use..plus i like the shortcuts for the mouse..like you can move it around to go forward/backward, to reload, open new windows, and duplicate windows?..does firefox have that?..i didnt use it long enough and now i wonder if it does

i used IE before and I find it easy to code...

i'm now using mozilla firefox and i love it! i love the password history, tabs, download manager... i think it's heaven. but as for coding, I'm still having a hard time with it. :(

I haven't tried Opera just yet, but I'd like to try it. I was surprised to find out that the Opera download manager works well with torrents.... Will definitely try it! :)

What I like in opera is that you can open multiple webpages in one window and you can minimize and/or maximize it inside. But I'm still using Mozilla Firefox because its easier to use.

Both are free, just play with both of them... I have opera, firefox, and IE all installed use firefox the most but the point is.... it depends on your application and what you like to do.

Opera is AMAZING!!! no pop ups at all.

I use Firefox and it has adblock...no pop-ups and also it removes ads on the webpages themselves.

I don't see any yesasia banners or stuff when I go through forums.

I tried both, but maybe it's because I used Opera for a longer time, I like Opera better. Firefox just looks really clean and nice...

These days, I'm using IE more though. I have Opera open but for some reason I keep opening IE =_=;;

I favor Opera more so than Firefox. Though there are still certain pages that Opera can't open correctly, mainly certain forums where I frequent would not update for some odd reason. Problem didn't occur in Firefox or IE. Firefox on the other hand is a great browser but the memory leak is the major downside to it's use. IE, quick browsing by comparison and stable. Just be sure to have appropriate programs up and running to avoid popups, spyware and malware infections.

Oh what the hell, Firefox for tabs. :D

I just switched back to Firefox after using Opera for a couple months.

Opera is definitely not bad. There are some perks to it that Mozilla doesn't have....like when you close out of a window, you'll go back to the tab you were just visiting, not the tab that's next in line. Just little stuff like that. But even though it's "up to date" and stuff, some web sites like one I use to do homework assignments for school on, it performs browser diagnostics tests and always said Mozilla was incompliant. O.o

Anyhow, I just like Firefox better. I guess I'm more used to it and stuff.

One thing I remember about Opera was that when I visited a page again the next day or something, like someone's journal, I'd have to refresh the page for it to show the update because it would just bring me to the page I saw the last time I checked. Eh, that kind of bothered me.
