The stunning 6-carat rock features emerald cut diamonds in a platinum

setting, which is estimated to cost upwards of $250K, and was custom

made by jeweler Robert Procop.

Brad Pitt and Angelina are now officially engaged, but their wedding preps began long before Brad put a ring on Angie's finger ...

The long-time couple began renovations on a private wedding chapel at their French chateau, Miraval, last year, in anticipation of the big day. The 14th-century estate and vineyard has been in a permanent state of remodeling and construction for almost a year, but it appears work on the property is close to being finished.

Details on Angelina's $250,000 Engagement Ring

April 15, 2012 by: KRISTIN WONG

Jewelry expert Michael O’Connor has checked out the ring and is dishing the speculative details to Us Weekly.

"Emerald cut diamonds have fewer facets so they don't have the sparkle of other cuts, but that also means that they need to be the best quality,” O’Connor says. Angelina was photographed wearing the ring at a private art viewing at LACMA on Wednesday.

“The light returned from a diamond like this is pure and white,” he continued. “Since Brad and Angelina always choose elements that are deep and emotional (i.e. her coordinate tattoos), it’s no doubt that Brad chose a platinum setting to symbolize a love that will never fade.”

Plus, it’s pretty.

O’Connor added: “This ring will become a piece of heirloom jewelry.” Yeah, yeah, heirlooms and memories and all that. How much is that massive rock worth?

“I would estimate this ring to cost $250,000,” O’Connor reveals. That’s a quarter of a million. In case your math skills are off.

The man behind the design is Robert Procop. He and Jolie collaborated on a line of jewelry in 2011, auctioning the pieces off for charity. He also designed the famous necklace she wore in the ‘Tourist’ movie. Angelina and Brad have also donned the jewels on the red carpet. Pitt wore diamond buttons, cufflinks and a ring from Procop to the 2012 Oscars earlier this year.

Brad Pitt is New Face of Chanel No. 5. Makes Beauty History!

Brad Pitt has more in common with Marilyn Monroe than just blonde highlights. They're both brand ambassadors for Chanel No. 5 perfume. Pitt has been selected to be the new face of the famed women's perfume. Chanel made the official announcement via Twitter Wednesday morning, adding Pitt to its roster of famous spokespeople. Luxury brand Chanel announced Wednesday that it has chosen American actor Brad Pitt (Ocean's Eleven, Inglourious Basterds, Moneyball) to appear in the next advertising campaign for its iconic fragrance No. 5. When contacted by Relaxnews, Chanel noted that the 48-year-old star will feature in campaign images shot for the women's scent, and not for a men's version of the house's signature fragrance.

Other faces of Chanel No. 5 include Catherine Deneuve, Nicole Kidman and Audrey Tautou.

Brad Pitt will next be seen on the big screen this autumn in Killing Them Softly, which is also in the running for the Palme d'Or 2012 at the upcoming Cannes film festival (May 16-27).

Chanel, Brad Pitt to Unveil First Project

By Julie Naughton

Can a man effectively sell a women’s fragrance? Chanel is using Brad Pitt to find out.

In mid-October, the brand will do a global unveiling of its first project with Pitt (whom it signed in May): a commercial and print ad for the iconic Chanel No.5.

“To keep a legend fresh, you always have to change its point of view,” said Andrea d’Avack, president, Chanel Fragrance & Beauty. “It is the first time we’ve had a man speaking about a women’s fragrance. We think very much that the perfume is a seduction between a man, a woman and the perfume. No.5 is our leading fragrance, and we are willing to make the investment to keep it on that level.”

D’Avack emphasized that the brand plans to use Pitt only on No.5. He joins a host of celebrity faces to front the 91-year-old scent — from Ali MacGraw, Catherine Deneuve and Candice Bergen to Nicole Kidman, Audrey Tautou and Vanessa Paradis.

While he wouldn’t spill many details, d’Avack noted that the commercial, shot by Joe Wright, features Pitt speaking in a way that the viewer assumes he’s speaking to a woman — and then it’s revealed that the addressee is actually the scent. Wright has worked with Chanel since 2006, and directed several Coco Mademoiselle commercials with Keira Knightley, whom he is also directing in the upcoming “Anna Karenina.”

The Pitt commercial is planned for an Oct. 15 global launch, while the print ad is expected to begin appearing in November fashion, beauty and lifestyle magazines. D’Avack added that the campaign will also include extensive social-media outreach. “We are reaching the ecosystem of communications vehicles,” he said. “We believe this dynamic, modern campaign will make people think in a completely different way about No.5.”

While d’Avack declined to comment on the advertising spend for the Pitt campaign, industry sources estimated that the brand was spending at least $10 million on U.S. advertising, as well as an estimated $7 million for Pitt’s services.

Angelina Jolie ‘pregnant

Cover Media – Thu, Jan 24, 2013 11:00 AM PHT

Angelina Jolie is rumoured to be expecting a baby.

The actress and her fiancé Brad Pitt raise six children together, with their youngest being four-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

Angelina was seen out and about while shooting her movie Maleficent last year but hasn't attended any high-profile events lately. It's been suggested she has retreated from the limelight as she has been struggling with her latest pregnancy.

"She had morning sickness and didn't want to draw attention to herself in public," an insider told the American edition of Star magazine. "She's focusing on the other children right now, trying to prepare them for the new baby."

The couple's other children range in ages from 11 to six and Angelina has reportedly been keen to add to their brood for some time. The Hollywood icons ensure that when one of them is working the other takes time off to be with the children and as both have been busy lately fitting a new addition into their family hasn't been possible.

"Angelina has been talking about having another child for years now," the source said. "But Brad kept putting his foot down because of their intense schedules and chaotic lifestyle."

The couple got engaged last year and over Christmas it was reported they had tied the knot while on holiday in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

They are yet to confirm or deny the reports, although in a recent interview Angelina spoke about how important her family is to her. As well as three biological kids the pair have three adopted children and she feels lucky to have met the tots.

"Maddox [the couple's eldest] had a bit of a say when I met him… but all my other children were just, ‘This is the child that has been chosen for you,’ and I suppose it’s like a child you give birth to, as you can’t have a say in it. I see that when I look at my kids. It just seems to be right. It’s hard to understand how it could unfold so beautifully; at certain times things do feel that way," she said.
