Guest suki_* Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Who's Alpha? we've never seen who Alpha was right? Echo's friend is freakishly skinny O____O;; i feel bad because eliza dushku was always the badass in movies... even in bring it on she was the tough chick. so far i'm not as super interested.. but i'll give it a few more episodes to see how it goes. if it's just mission after mission then it's gonna get old. if she gets bits and pieces of her different washed personalities her escaping or doing something about it might not even be able to span to the second season. i'd like to see how they're able to bring forth another season... or if this is a one hit series.
Guest mezzxanne Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Warning!! spoilers for DOllhouse! Read it at your own risk!! Spoilers ahead. You have been warned. What has been read cannot be unread. I was in the middle of writing another post about Dollhouse and was poking around the imdb page of Firefly and other related pages when I came across something oh-so-spoilerific. Pages such as the profile of Alan Tudyk. Scroll down to #3 on his actor credits. Alan Tudyk, Wash of Firefly IS ALPHA. full article: http://www.omgwtfstfubbq.com/?p=2646
Guest aircastles Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 I actually had a Dollhouse marathon today, watching all five episodes to see if it's any good. And really, the plot is interesting, but at times it fails to catch my attention. Like, what is all this leading to? Most of the characters seem rather one-dimensional, but Topher amuses me. I'm interested in the mystery surrounding Echo, though. That's definitely a cliffhanger.
Guest sbq Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 I love how Victor has man-reactions to Sierra! That cracked me up! I wonder where they will go with that story line and I hope they make it good. I'm finding I'm more interested in the supporting characters rather than Echo. I'm not saying Echo is bad, I just like the others more!
Guest Da Xing Di Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 ^lol, yeah, the man-reaction... anyway if they don't get those cameras out of her, won't she loose her vision again when something hard knocks her head, like in some other engagements? i mean it's kinda silly... oh and i totally feel sorry for the fbi's neighbour!!! poor girl!
Guest aircastles Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 ^LOL, I find that Topher gets the most amusing lines with the "man-reaction" and crunchy lettuce and whatnot. Future 'ship! Viktor/Sierra. That would be interesting. That vision thing, though - might come into play later on? Am I the only one thinking that the girl next door might actually be part of something bigger later on? I'm not saying she's a doll, but hey, they can't introduce a character with an obvious crush on one of the main characters for nothing, right? Or maybe I'm just looking too much into it. Poor girl, though.
Guest suki_* Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 just caught up... lol at victor's man-reaction! i hope him and sierra become cute doll couples ^___^;; i feel bad for echo most of the time because she is just being slapped around every episode.
Guest asdfjkl;fdsajkl; Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 lolllll, i know viktor's man reaction killed me. looks like his man reaction is actually something serious based on the preview, lol. but i do like the idea of him and sierra. and yay!!! echo and the fbi dude finally meet. i still can't remember his name
Guest <3goesDOKIDOKI Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 just watched the pilot. it has an interesting premise but its sorta slow and boring right now i hope it picks up. so far im interested enough to watch the 2nd episode.
aznchic209 Posted March 21, 2009 Author Posted March 21, 2009 How come no one writes on this thread????????? Tonight's episode was WOW!!! CONFUSING!!!! So much happened that my mind was having trouble processing what I was seeing and hearing... Why did Echo tell Ballard that the Dollhouse exists? Is it some sort of plan to get him to trust her so he'd back off the Dollhouse hunt?? What the hell happened between Mellie and Sierra's handler?? I was confused!!!! Is she an ACTIVE?? Was it a similar case to what happened to Echo when she was brainwashed while on an engagement?? Has the Dollhouse figured out how to control NON-ACTIVES' minds?? AHHHHHHHHHH!!! :S
Guest aircastles Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 I was confused!!!! Is she an ACTIVE?? Was it a similar case to what happened to Echo when she was brainwashed while on an engagement?? Has the Dollhouse figured out how to control NON-ACTIVES' minds?? AHHHHHHHHHH!!! :S I haven't watched the episode yet (must wait for hulu to upload it) but based on what I've read Livejournal, Mellie is an active who isn't widely known as an Active. I'm guessing she's there to take Ballard's attention away from the Dollhouse? Like Lubov (sp?). An interesting, yet somewhat predictable, plot twist. But it's really heating up now!
Guest kiss*kiss Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 In the latest episode -- for those that may be confused about whether Echo was "active" when she said those things to Agent Ballard, I believe she obviously was so since it all led up to the attack at Ballard's house. Read post below. They are more keen. And let me say, I AM SO GLAD THE NEIGHBOR/CHARACTER INTRO FINALLY LED UP TO SOMETHING! She was getting so annoying. I realized that I'm not really in Echo's role playing stories as I thought I would be and that it is the bigger picture regarding what happened with Alpha, why Alpha is doing what he is doing, what his relation to Echo is, what Ballard's special interest in Caroline is, and what Echo will ultimately do that keeps me watching. Everything else (Echo's role playing) is getting quite tiresome. I think mostly because almost every "character" she has played is a sexual object to her client which just screams ESCORT service to me... Oh, I'm also liking Sierra + Victor. So cute.

AHHHHHHHHHH!!! :S LMAOOOO the eps was definitely the best so far!! SPOILERS! sierras handler is the one that assulted her. Echos handler is the one that figured it out Viktor's handler was away on for 1 week, so thats why they originally thought Viktor was the active who assulted her, but it turned out to be sierras own handler. Echo told ballard about the dollhouse becuase when the doctor was talking to her handler someone INSIDE the company(NOT ALPHA) got in and played with the program and uploaded teh message to send him. she shot the cop anyways so that they dont think she went off track and finished her mission. melllie IS an active. she is a "sleeper" shes activiated with key words, like when the CEO called and said that flowers are red, etc, she activated her, and then shut her down afterwards. shes not brainwashed. LOL i hope that helped a bit! i really love viktor/sierra ship! its sooo adorable LOL i liked this eps the most so far. alot of info in one go i wonder who the insider is. im guessing its the CEO(slim chancelol) or the other doctor. >D
Guest Da Xing Di Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 whoa! the neighbour is a doll too!!! that was soooo unexpected! loved this twist a lot~
Guest sbq Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 I loved the recent episode. I had a feeling Mellie was doll because she was orginially written in as the Doll known as November. So I think she's November! Anyway I love it when Viktor is asked about how Sierra makes him feel and he replies 'Better.' It's so adorable. I alos loved it at the end when Sierra and Viktor are reading a picture book together. I'm a big Sierra/Viktor shipper!
Guest Mirae-chan Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 HOLY CRAP MELLIE'S AN ACTIVE.. ASLKDNLKDSGNKLDFN "There is a flower in the vase on the table. The third flower is yellow." *shudders* ♥
Guest asdfjkl;fdsajkl; Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 this episode KICKED MAJOR richard simmons!!!!!!!!!!! lol, ok had to get that out according to what i read, this was the first episode joss whedon got to do what he does best w/o fox interfering. the rest of the episodes are also whedon's so i cannot freakin wait. i know everyone's spazzing about the twists but i LOVED the humor just as much especially the bisexual guy and PORN! Anyway I love it when Viktor is asked about how Sierra makes him feel and he replies 'Better.' It's so adorable. I alos loved it at the end when Sierra and Viktor are reading a picture book together. I'm a big Sierra/Viktor shipper! omg! i know they're soooooooooo cute. i knew viktor couldn't have raped her. he's too sweet and all he'll ever do (for the time being) is his man reactions

Thank you!!!!! I was left so confused but now I get it!! lol. Mellie being an Active totally surprised me...I thought she was such a useless character... guess there's more to her than we thought As for why Echo told Ballard about the Dollhouse...I remember the camera really focusing on Topher as he was getting ready to treat Echo... and then Echo's handler came in and started talking to him...I thought someone might mess with it... good to know that that's the reason.
Guest SilentDream Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 That was such an awesome episode! I have a feeling that it was that Ivy is smarter than she led on and possibly smarter than Topher. She probably is the inside spy and messed with the imprint for Echo. Also maybe she did the remote wipe as well.. Thats my theory anyways..
