Guest kiss*kiss Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I really like the concept of this show -- and suffice it to say, Joss Whedon rarely disappoints. However, Eliza Dushku ruins it for me. She's great in those action sequences... but playing vulnerable and blank... she's cringe-worthy.Agent Ballard is kind of hot. Which reminds me... what was with that character introduction of his girl neighbor?
aznchic209 Posted February 22, 2009 Author Posted February 22, 2009 the 2nd ep was sure exciting!but so weird how some parts do remain in their memories after the wiping...like the shoulder+wheel stuff at the end?Goes back to "You can wipe a memory...but you can't wipe a soul"or something along that line. No matter how you try to erase a person's memories, some things just stay with you!
aznchic209 Posted February 28, 2009 Author Posted February 28, 2009 Anyone watch DOLLHOUSE tonight??? Hmmm....
Guest Goombi Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Never folllowed Buffy.. but I'm liking the concept for this one
Guest CorrectionYourWrongImRight Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 i really like the show so far. i watcehd both eps 1 and 2 last night LOL. joss whedon never dissappoints me. but the whole time i was thinking.. this is a bit like fireflybefore you all start yelling at me hear me out.i am referring to Rivers(Summer Glau) part of the story. how they play with her brain and get her to fight for them.. its very similiar in a sense. i like it more that way actually, cause its almost like we are watching the other part of FIREFLY if that made ANY sense to anyone.eps 2 was really good, when he slept with her then hes like " you have to go, right now", i thought he was gonn help her escape cause, i thought hes gonna fall in love with her or something hahahaha. then hes like. "you have five minutes" * picks up arrows*. iwas like HOLY SHIZ!!! totally didnt see that one coming , i hahahaha. However, Eliza Dushku ruins it for me. She's great in those action sequences... but playing vulnerable and blank... she's cringe-worthy.thats totally true, as good as she is in action i cant STAND her in anything else. shes too bad richard simmons for that stuff LOL. im being totally serious. you can just tell she wants to start kicking richard simmons. they shouldve had someone like Summer Glau... OOOOOOO!!!! hahahaah
Guest chll51 Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 I miss the recent episode but I caught I think the one before that where she was going on a date with this guy then ended up being in some kind of twisted date game where he hunted her. anyway, what's with the police? is he her boyfriend or something? I think little by little, she's remembering what she did can't wait to watch rerun of the latest episode
Guest CorrectionYourWrongImRight Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 *downloading 3rd eps*NO ONE TELL ME ANYTHING!!!! EDIT:the ending was my absolute favorite part. when.. she came up to her smiling and echo shook her head and then looked at sarahs handler!!! ( i hate the new spoiler tags)...i loved it so much cause you just KNOW richard simmons is gonna start hitting the fan
Guest Mirae-chan Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Looooove it so far. Whenever Echo is in badass mode I automatically imagine her speaking in a Boston accent and I go all "Faaaaaaith!" xD
Guest losborrachos Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 i knew victor is still victor. and i bet november is still november. sneaky move, joss, trying to sneak that one past us.
Guest kiss*kiss Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 i knew victor is still victor. and i bet november is still november. sneaky move, joss, trying to sneak that one past us.What? Could you please explain?I finally figured out what this show sort of reminded me of -- ALIAS. Due to all the character changes. Man, I miss that show.
Guest ninyaah Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 i've watched 2 episodes so far and it's interesting. i totally forgot to watch the third one.. i'll be downloading the next.
Guest Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 i just finished the first episode and i like it so far
Guest prisonerzero Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 However, Eliza Dushku ruins it for me. She's great in those action sequences... but playing vulnerable and blank... she's cringe-worthy.You know, I was trying to figure out what made the show so boring for me thus far and yes... it's Eliza Dushku.
Guest mezzxanne Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Dushku, Williams and Acker. So gooooooooood.I never cared for Buffy and Angel, so if it wasn't for Whedon's Firefly/Serenity, I might not have given this show a look. Friday night death slot = typical Fox move.Totally!! I never really liked Angel. I watched Buffy for awhile until it became absolutely ridiculous because she kept rising from the dead. --'Firefly was so freakin' awesommmmee!!!
Guest FESHA Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 I miss the recent episode but I caught I think the one before that where she was going on a date with this guy then ended up being in some kind of twisted date game where he hunted her. anyway, what's with the police? is he her boyfriend or something? I think little by little, she's remembering what she did can't wait to watch rerun of the latest episode Oh yeah, sick guy get his kicks hunting people. When the tables turned when Echo got a hold of gun from her care taker. The dudes all caring for his precious life now. Tried sweet talking his way out. That game there reminded me of Eliza's past movie "Wrong Turn" Except the dude not all cannibal...===The recent one pretty twisted on the singer and her fan going on there. Her care taker starting to rub off some father figure about his little girl...Echo...
Guest Da Xing Di Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 now this remote wiping was sure out of blue...things are getting more and more interesting, imo.
Guest CorrectionYourWrongImRight Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 ^i completely agreei really dont like this detective guy. we just know hes going to end up falling in love with echoeliza plays bad richard simmons sooooooo well!!! shes such a a good actress when it comes to seductive bad richard simmons villian hahahahahahaha
aznchic209 Posted March 8, 2009 Author Posted March 8, 2009 OMG, I really liked this past episode...thought Taffy (Echo) and that one dude in the vault with herwere cute together until he went cuckoo-cuckoo and smacked her in theface...Remote wipes...how are they even possible?? lol. What didthey do to ALPHA to make him this genius??TOPHER was extremely ANNOYING to me...blehhhhh...he couldn't shutup about how remote wipes aren't possible...yaddy yaddy yahhh...well, ITHAPPENED, DIMWIT! lols.As for next week's episode...I feel like Joss is going about this too fast...making Echo screw up as an Active too soon...she's the "best"Active and yet, she's the one who screws up the most??? *confused*STILL LOVE THE SHOW :]
Guest Da Xing Di Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 well i still don't understand how come that they always send Echo to the hardest and most dangerous "missions" when it's clear since like the beginning that she is "hunted" by Alpha (or someone...but yeah prob Alpha)and what is more weird that Victor always get back his memories with the detective...and still isn't it weird how X days passed he gets them back and can still continue like that days did happen to him too? i mean they get the imprints from someone elses's memories and abilities...but he gets back this one over and over, and noone else lived through those days to get the imprint of...okay...i'm getting a bit confusing, ain't i?...anyway still don't get it...
