Na du - can't wait to see the next two episodes! But I am feeling more for JA now - she will be "doubled-betrayed" when she finds out that

1. her husband's "lover" is SH and

2. that TJ is the husband of SH and president of the company -- I wonder if JA will feel humiliated that all along she's been stringed along by TJ? But, knowing JA's street-wise personality, perhaps she'll bounce back in no time and make full use of her friendship with TJ.... just guessing!

just thought i'll show my support for this drama in this thread!

i,ve just watched 7 eps at one go, and i must say i like this drama! was blown away by kim nam-joo's acting, and the storyline is just right (with abit of richard simmons!ng here and there xD). keke i,ll cont to watch this till the end!

/oh btw, the actor who act as the sajang-nim here, is he the same guy from 3 dads & a mom? (husband of eugene's character) i tot he looked familiar even with the moustach.

^ yes, Yoon Sang-hyun was the actor who also played Eugene's husband in 3 dads and 1 mom

here are some new stiils from MBC. Super Junior's Shindong and gagwoman Kim Shin-young will have a cameo appearance in Episode 11 as seen in the preview. Shindong congratulated Oh Ji-ho for the high ratings that the drama gets. They both acted in the drama, Single Papa in Love aired last year

there's also an interesting article at Dramabeans site about Korean actresses that use screen age to make them look younger. Recently Sun Woo-sun (So-hyun) admitted that her age listed in her profile page in search portals are wrong, she's not 29 but she's already 34 (1980 to 1975)

For anyone who reads a famous star’s profile online and then feels bad about yourself — psst! They’re usually fake. Or, let’s say, “altered” from strict reality.

For instance, not every Korean actress weighs less than 50kg. (Gasp, I know!) I’m sure a large majority of them do, but it is not a universal truth that all actresses stop gaining weight (or eating) when they hit 50kg. Hyori may be the only one who admits to weighing more than 50kg, but she’s not the only one who actually does.

Oh yeah, and as we know from looking at profiles of ladies who are famously petite (Song Hye-gyo, Kim Tae-hee), those heights are often exaggerated as well. Think of it like a driver’s license. Or penis size. Everyone (or most people) takes a little off the number here, and adds a little there.

So it’s no surprise that a little fudging goes on about age, as the following article points out. The trend has been highlighted by the public admissions of a couple new actresses that their initial ages were shaved to make them more marketable, like Queen of Housewives’s Sunwoo Sun and We Got Married’s Lee Shi-young.

Note: Fun fact! I’d originally thought Sunwoo Sun’s name was Sun Woo-sun. Apparently it’s neither — she was born “Yu-jin,” but as there are a plethora of Yu-jins in showbiz, her management decided her stage name should be Sun Woo-sun. (Last name “Sun.”) Then, when someone confused it as Sunwoo Sun (last name “Sunwoo” — one of a few two-syllable Korean surnames), they thought that was better so they changed it. But it didn’t help, since people confused it either way, and now she gets called alternately (as a first name) “Sun” and “Woo-sun.” It doesn’t seem to bother her since it’s not her name anyway.

Celebrities’ “elastic ages” are once again an issue. Recently, people got talking when actress Sunwoo Sun of MBC’s Queen of Housewives revealed that she’s not 29, but 34.

Sun Woo-sun’s management said, “It was a mistake that her profile listed her birth year as 1980. Actually, she was born in 1975.” Regarding the erroneous entry, they explained, “We believe her age was entered wrongly by her previous management. We thought it was best to reveal the truth.” That makes her a noona to her co-star, Oh Ji-ho (born in 1976), as she is one year older.

Queen of Housewives has been sold in other Asian Countries such as Japan, Vietnam, the Philippines and still under negotiation for airing in China and Taiwan. In Japan, QOH will air through Maiko (NHK Subsidiary), Lala Tv and KNTV in August, in Vietnam and the Philippines, distributors TKL and Telesuccess have broughts the rights to air it in local channels of their respective countries later this year. Vietnam's HTV and The Philippines GMA Network will air it. MBC officials were surprised that it got sold immediately even if it is currently airing and given that the actors in the drama are in their 30s, but the drama's story with a touch of comedy is the drama's main selling point.

i,ve just watched 7 eps at one go, and i must say i like this drama! was blown away by kim nam-joo's acting,

Got to agree that KNJ acting seem most impressive to me than the rest.

The 3 leading men may be sexy looking , but their acting seem to fall below par as compared with the KNJ and LHY.

'내조의 여왕' 제작 관계자는 스포츠서울닷컴과의 전화통화에서 "시청자들의 반응에 힘입어 연장방송을 하기로 했다"며 "당초 2회 연장을 생각했지만 1주 분량이 늘어난 4회를 연장하기로 최종 결정했다"고 밝혔다.

현재 MBC와 제작자는 최종 협의를 끝낸 상태다. 출연진들의 반응 역시 호의적이다. 김남주, 이혜영, 최철호, 윤상현, 선우선, 정수영 등 주요 출연진들은 흔쾌히 연장에 동의해 계약을 마쳤다.

하지만 오지호와는 의견 조율이 되지 않고 있다. 오지호 소속사 관계자는 "아직 연장에 관한 내용을 전달받지 못해 뭐라 할 말이 없다"며 시큰둥한 반응을 보였다.

'내조의 여왕'은 월화드라마 시청률 1위를 기록, 불황기에도 불구 광고 완판을 이어가며 높인 인기 고공행진을 벌이고 있다. 또한 일본, 필리핀, 베트남 등에 판매가 완료됐으며 대만과 중국 등 아시아 전역과 수출을 협상 중이다.

The article says 4 additional episodes are expected to shoot, bringing the series total to 20.

(It was announced that the 2 additional episodes to MBC Queen Of Housewives will now be 4 instead. This final decision means that the drama will end on 19th May instead of 5th of May, with the total series having 20 episodes (original was 16))

All main actors & actresses agreed to sign a new, revised contract except Oh Ji-Ho. (MBC hasn't yet reached a consensus with him over the extension)

[스포츠서울닷컴 | 서보현기자] MBC-TV '내조의 여왕'이 4회 연장될 예정이다.

'내조의 여왕' 제작 관계자는 스포츠서울닷컴과의 전화통화에서 "시청자들의 반응에 힘입어 연장방송을 하기로 했다"며 "당초 2회 연장을 생각했지만 1주 분량이 늘어난 4회를 연장하는 쪽으로 긍정적으로 검토하고 있다"고 밝혔다.

현재 MBC와 제작자는 최종 결정만 남겨놓은 상황이다. 제작자와 드라마국은 오는 21일 오후 미팅을 갖고 연장과 관련된 스케줄 및 세부사항을 논의할 계획이다.

출연진들의 반응 역시 호의적이다. 제작자 관계자는 "출연배우들에게 연장 가능성을 전했다"면서 "아직 연장에 대해 논의 중이라 확실한 입장을 밝힐 수 없다"고 전했다. 실제로 김남주, 이혜영, 최철호, 윤상현, 선우선, 정수영 등 주요 출연진들은 흔쾌히 연장에 동의한 것으로 알려졌다.

edited: No final decision has been made between the production company and MBC, but they are positively considering to extend; Further details to accommodate their filming schedule for the drama will be discussed in dealing with extension at a meeting to be held on April 21th.

Mainstream is still the same. Nearly all are in favor of the extension.

holy crap

todays episode was SOOO funny and so dramatic at the end!!

whats with SH and her mood swings. O_O well, totally understandable. If i had a mother in law like hers, i'd freak out too

my favorite part of the drama by far is the cellphone scene. <3 jiae is SOOO cute. hahaa

and i think i liked that part because it sorta reconfirmed that DS is not cheating on Jiae...

It was so adorable how Jiae was trying to be all cute to him <3

although at the same time, I wonder if DS is just really smart and know what to say to reassure Jiae...

aHH so confusing.

but LOVING IT!

i cant wait for tomo!!!

Ep. 11:

So-Hyeon tells Jiae someone like herself it is hard to divorce because there are too many things at stake, but Jiae says divorce is hard regardless who you are it'll be hard for her too if she had to go through it,

and how in the 7 years she's been married to Dalsu she thought many times of divorcing him but in the end it is not easy to separate. Then when Jiae goes home she starts drinking and asks Dalsu about the rumor,

and Dalsu says of course ppl are making it up since someone probably saw him together with Sohyeon having dinner together or something and Jiae accepts this and says it's all because all the women are so jealoused.

It's pay day at Queens foods, and Taebong waits anxiously for Jiae to call since she said she'd call to pay him back his money when her husband got paid, but the phone doesn't ring

and Taebong accidently drops the phone and he quickly puts it back together so he won't miss Jiae's call.

However Jiae never calls. Meanwhile Dalsu cashes his paycheck and brings Jiae a fat envelope of his pay all in cash and the two are giddy smelling the smell of dinero. After some sniffing Jiae starts to calculate how she needs to spend the money, when Bongsoon suddenly calls.

Bongsoon asks Jiae about coming by again to show her the 'video clip' she wanted to show her last time, and Jiae brushes her off saying she's not interested in some porn, but Bongsoon says it's not that and asks Jiae to stop by tomorrow.

Joonhyeok overhears Bongsoon talking on the phone and sneaks into the study and erases the cctv file.

Next morning as Dalsu heads for work Jiae and Jeongwon (daughter) sing for him to cheer him up and Jiae notices Dalsu's shoes are rugged so she goes to the market and gets a pair of new shoes that look like the ones Jang Dong-Geon wears.

But she's too late, because So-Hyeon also noticed this before,and So-Hyeon presents Dalsu with a new pair of designer shoes.

Dalsu says it's too much he can't take it but Sohyeon says it's just a gesture of thanks, and she's already given up being with him, so Dalsu accepts and puts them on. Joonhyeok sees this from afar and gets mad.

Joonhyeok then goes up to Dalsu and asks about his new shoes and warns him he already warned him about this before, and as the two yell about Mr. Yang and Mr. Ha overhear and misunderstands the two as having some romantic feelings for each other.

Bongsoon notices the cctv file is gone and calls Joonhyeok about it and Joonhyeok says he deleted so she wouldnt' mingle in other ppl's business and Bongsoon is pretty upset and when Jiae stops by Bongsoon brings up the 'affair' between Dalsu and Sohyeon,

but Jiae says that's all just a misunderstanding and asks Bongsoon to show her proof if she swears it's true,but Bongsoon says she lost it and swears she saw w/ her own eyes but Jiae just brushes her off and leaves.

At work Mr. Yang and Mr. Ha see Joonhyeok and Dalsu coming out of the men's bathroom together and watch as Joonhyeok runs afer Dalsu with his pants not all the way tidied and the two further speculate something's going on.

So they ask Dalsu about his relationship with Joonhyeok and Dalsu says no way and just as Joonhyeok passes by Dalsu shouts, "do you like me" and at this Joonhyeok is like 'of course not! i dislike you so much!'.. but Joonhyeok is all perplexed by this whole situation.

That evening when Joonhyeok goes home he gets kicked out so he spends the night in the sauna, and at the sauna everyone talks about him as obviously being kicked out by his wife and how pathetic of a husband he must be.

Meanwhile Taebong calls Jiae finally and complains about his money and Jiae keeps making excuses of not having the time to meet him and finally Taebong insists on meeting now. and they meet at the rooftop again.

Sohyeon catches Taejoon calling someone and asks if he's dating an ajoomma this time and asks him if he's having an affair and dating romantically and reminds him he's the one who told her not to fall in love with someone just have a simple affair.

When Taebong and Jiae meet, Jiae says he acts like he owns the place and he says he does then says his father owns many of the units in the condo. Jiae says she'll pay back the money she owes him in 10 increments, of 80 bucks per month for ten months,

and Taebong insists she must give bank rate of 4% interest and she must sign a contract. As the two haggle, Sohyeon is watching the happening from a far. Afterwards when Jiae goes downstairs she runs into all the wives

and Mrs. Kim asks her why she looks so surprised as if she is guilty of many wrong doings and just then Sohyeon comes by and asks Mrs. Kim why she looks so surprised as if she's guilty of wrongdoings, and Sohyeon offers Jiae a ride and the two leave.

In the car, Sohyeon's attitude toward Jiae is suddenly cold and says Jiae is too greedy to want both love and good material terms in a husband. Jiae is surprised and Sohyeon says it's a joke but she continues to look cold.

That night Jiae goes home and tries to look at Dalsu's phone log while he's asleep but she spends hours trying to figure out what the password is to unlock the phone and finally she gives up and wakes him up to yell at him for having a password.

Dalsu says it's cuz he leaves his phone around at work and types 0000 as the code. Jiae sees that all the calls are from her and feels bad about being suspicious and tickles him in bed.

Next day when Sohyeon leaves to visit the place where her birth mother's ashes are scattered, Dalsu decides to go with her because he feels bad she has to go alone, and Dalsu says he's going w/ her as her school senior.

Sohyeon shouts out to her mother that she's here and she brought her husband and how happy she is and Sohyeon urges Dalsu to shout too,

and Dalsu yells out he's the husband and how he's so successful and he only loves Sohyeon so the mother needn't ever worry.. afterwards Sohyeon is happy and tells Dalsu now she can always have fond memory of her mother.

But Mrs. Kim has tattled on Sohyeon and gave Mrs. Heo the cctv file of Sohyeon hugging Dalsu, and so Mrs. Heo barges in and throws water on Sohyeon's face and reminds her the Eun family is nothing w/ out the Heo family's help.

Taejoon then comes and tells his mom to stop since any women would get tired of him as a husband.

Sohyeon then goes to see Dalsu who told Jiae he's working late at the company. Sohyeon asks him again whether he's be willing to abandon everything and go live abroad w/ her and Dalsu says not to joke and he already said no last time,

and Sohyeon suddenly becomes really cold and reminds him she's the chief's wife and she was crazy to fall for him and that from now on he should address her as the president's wife.

Taejoon is listening from outside, and turns to leave when he sees Jiae coming with bento for Dalsu, and Jiae is surprised Taebong is here and wonders how he got through the security,

but Taebong (Taejoon) hurries and pulls her away before she can go into the office to see Dalsu with Sohyeon.
