ChunJin Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Beta Is Out!Windows 7 is out for public beta! http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/dd353205.aspx I really like Windows 7, it's really clean and really nice! Really fast too. I installed it on my Sony Vaio VGN-FZ180E/B laptop. No problems with drivers or anything. Everything went smoothly, and installed really quick.
Guest Seipher Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 The beta has been running smoothly for me as well, no program or hardware incompatibilities so far. Compared to Vista, Seven does seem to run slightly faster, and the installation was fast. There are a few little things I like about Windows 7 so far: - Device Stage: After plugging in my Sony MP3 player, a window popped up showing some information and some options for syncing, browsing folders, etc. - Aero Snap: I really like being able to automatically resize a window to take up half of the screen, allowing me to move files between two different folders or partitions, and makes it much easier to look at two documents at once. - Libraries: Instead of going to one specific folder for My Documents, My Music, etc. the Libraries made it easy for me to add folders so whenever I click on Documents or Music it will show me all the folders. - Windows Media Player: Support for H.264 and AAC is a nice touch. Nothing major, but it's little things like Aero Snap that make Windows 7 better to use than Vista.
Guest kwok Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 i would just use the same drivers i used for vista for this OS?
Guest kanauru Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 There was a thread made about this already. Except it was "leaked". As for me I'm going back to xp64. Some annoyances here and there.
Guest Dah_jOkA Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 i installed it and everything is fine except the wireless doesnt work for me. WHY MAN WHY! i needa find a fix for it asap
ChunJin Posted January 12, 2009 Author Posted January 12, 2009 you could try to find the drivers you had for vista and install them. i had to do that for my audio
my_monkey Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 its great, but it sorta feels like vista to me. to me seems like an upgraded vista.
