Lee Byung Hun Returns to Korea Following Filming in America
kiddy_days Soompi
lee-byung-hun.jpg
Lee Byung Hun was photographed returning to Korea after filming his movie in the United States.
On April 20, he was photographed by Y-STAR cameras at the airport, wearing black from head to toe. He looked much weaker than he had previously.
When he was asked about his schedules in America and about the birth of his son, he responded with silence and a slight smile. The only thing he said was a quiet, “I’m sorry,” before he boarded the car and left the airport.
Lee Byung Hun’s management company said, “Lee Byung Hun finished filming ‘Beyond Deceit‘ in New Orleans, and returned on April 20.” They added, “For a while now, he will not have official schedules and will stay by his family’s side.”
Meanwhile, his wife Lee Min Jung was discharged from the post-natal care hospital on April 20.

Lee Byung Hun Cast in “Rush Hour 4″ alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs
Soompi.Lee-Byung-Hun-Sean-Combs-Rush-Hour-4.jpg
Actor Lee Byung Hun is taking on yet another Hollywood film, joining American rapper, producer, and actor Sean “Diddy” Combs on “Rush Hour 4.”
“Rush Hour 4” is the third sequel to hit 1998 American buddy action comedy film “Rush Hour” starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker.
On April 23, Lee Byung Hun’s management agency BH Entertainment confirmed the actor’s participation in the film. However, the representative said it was impossible to confirm anything further, “It is true that Lee Byung Hun participated in a portion of filming for ‘Rush Hour 4.’ However, due to the contract, we are not able to confirm anything else.”
Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker will not be participating in “Rush Hour 4,” so it is being speculated that Lee Byung Hun and Sean “Diddy” Combs will be taking on their roles, respectively, especially after Sean “Diddy” Combs uploaded a photo onto his Instagram of a billboard for “Rush Hour 4” featuring the two actors side by side. In the caption, he writes, “The Rush is back…”

Lee Byung Hun has previously participated in Hollywood movies “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” and its sequel “G.I. Joe: Retaliation.” He is also slated to appear in “Terminator 5: Genisys” and “Beyond Deceit.”

Are you looking forward to seeing Lee Byung Hun in “Rush Hour 4?”

by June Kim / KOFIC
apysXgPOqlATaLLVxhUP.jpg
A billboard placed in California released that Korea’s LEE Byung-hun and American rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs as the faces of Rush Hour 4: Face Off 2. According to LEE’s management company, BH Entertainment, details of LEE’s character in the film cannot be revealed but have confirmed his participation in the 4th installment of the action comedy series.
The Rush Hour series, which have won hearts of many martial arts fans, starred action master Jackie CHAN and Chris Tucker as the main characters in the last three episodes. Unfortunately, both of the original stars will not be coming back for the newest installment. However, by looking at the confirmed casting, one can assume that LEE will play in part for CHAN and Combs as Tucker.
With the slogan, “Rush is Back,” many fans are waiting for what the new sequel with new cast will be like. In addition to his latest film titled Beyond Deceit which LEE is currently shooting, LEE previously starred in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009), G.I.Joe: Retaliation (2013), Red 2 (2013), and Terminator Genisys in Hollywood. He is also very active in the domestic film industry with Memories of the Sword currently in post-production and Inside Men current in production.

Lee Byung-hun, Sean Combs to star in 'Rush Hour 4'
Korean actor Lee Byung-hun will star alongside American rapper Sean Combs, also known by his stage name P. Diddy, in the fourth "Rush Hour" movie.
Lee's management BH Entertainment said Thursday that Lee has already completed filming "Rush Hour 4," but declined to disclose details due to contractual agreements.
The "Rush Hour" franchise, which starred Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker in the lead roles in the comedy and action film, will not see the pair reprise their popular roles in the fourth installment.
Local media speculated that Lee and Combs may take on the central roles instead, since billboards advertising the film have already been spotted in California, which have been circulated online.
Lee has starred in several Hollywood action films, including "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra," its sequel, and "Terminator Genisys."
Most recently, the 44-year-old actor returned Monday from filming "Beyond Deceit" with actor Al Pacino, which is slated for release in July 2016.
Lee's agency said earlier this week his plans for the near future are to stay beside his wife and newborn son.

Lee Byung Hun To Star Alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs in “Rush Hour 4″?
Source: Koreaboo
Untitled-18.png
A puzzling billboard has been spotted on California’s Hollywood Boulevard corner, and has fans both confused and excited at the same time.
The billboard shows a graphic of the Rush Hour series and is titled, Rush Hour 4: Face Off 2. It shows Korean actor Lee Byung Hun and American rapper/producer Sean “Diddy” Combs in place of the original actors of the first three films, Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker.
The last confirmed news regarding Rush Hour 4 was that Jackie Chan and Christ Tucker have both indeed been approached about it, however, according to Cinema Online, both refused to agree to any terms until a script was ready for them to look over.
Stay tuned for more information as Koreaboo looks for more information on this developing story!

Ad Says Lee Byung Hun Will Face Off Sean P. Diddy Combs In 'Rush Hour 4'
BY Julie Jones | KDramaStars.com According to Korean media outlet Naver TV, Lee Byung Hun may face off with Sean "P. Diddy" Combs the upcoming film "Rush Hour 4."
That news first began to spread after the appearance of a billboard featuring the two actors in the possible sequel. The ad was erected over a Hollywood Boulevard bar named The Rusty Mullet in Los Angeles.
Some did not believe that the sequel was really happening and thought the billboard was ust part of an elaborate joke. According to the online publication The Daily Beast, the advertisement could have something to do with an upcoming Funny or Die parody sketch. Rapper, actor and entrepreneur Combs recently created a popular and funny "Downton Diddy" parody.
But the "Rush Hour 4" ad was also featured on Combs' Instagram. As a caption, he only wrote "The Rush is back." He provided no further explanation.
The news that Lee is cast in a Hollywood film would not be surprising. The k-drama and k-movie stat has filmed been in several Hollywood films lately, including "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra," "Red 2" and "Terminator Genysis," which is due to be released in the summer of 2015. The 44-year-old actor is also currently filming "Beyond Deceit" with Anthony Hopkins and Al Pacino.
But the news that there was another "Rush Hour" sequel was met with some speculation.
Lee Byung Hun's agency says that it is not a joke. Or at least it's not a joke his agency is in on. On April 23, his agency, BH Entertainment, confirmed his participation.
"It is true that Lee Byung Hun participated in a portion of the filming for 'Rush Hour 4.'  However, due to the contract, we are not able to confirm anything else."
"Rush Hour 4" is the fourth installment in the 'Rush Four" cop buddy series, which previously starred Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. Neither Chan nor Tucker will appear in the fourth installment, so the speculation is that Lee and Combs will play the two detective roles.
The film series began in 1998. The original film opened at first place in the box office, earning $33 million and positive reviews. It ultimately earned $244 million and was followed by "Rush Hour 2" in 2001 and "Rush Hour 3" in 2007. Rumors circulating back in 2007 said that if a fourth film was made, it would be filmed in Moscow.

Lee Byung-hun movies face further delays
The release dates for two movies starring Lee Byung-hun are likely to be delayed further, local media reported Friday.
According to reports, the release date for “The Insiders” has been pushed back to the second half of the year.
The movie is based on an online comic series of the same name, with Lee playing a low-life intent on exacting revenge on his former bosses.
The movie, which was initially slated for release last year, was held back after Lee was mired in a blackmail case.
Two minor celebrities attempted to blackmail Lee using a recording in which he was heard making lewd comments.
They have since been found guilty of blackmail.
The release of “Memories of the Sword,” in which Lee plays a swordsman who betrays his friends, is also expected to be delayed.

Fans' Tribute EverythingLBH.com Website
SharingHunnieAppreciationDedicatedlyOnlineWorldwide

As this is our 5th year (plus 2003/4) at soompi.com, we're setting up a website as a tribute to the international online fans who have continuously shared about Lee Byung Hun so unconditionally over these past years. Despite the setback, restrictions and heartaches along the way, EverythingLBH's ardent sharing never stops no matter what. Because EverythingLBH has never been officially affiliated with LBH, we don't know how Byunghun-ssi will feel about the website but many of us have been waiting since 5 years ago for an international LBH fan club and still waiting. However, we're not sure if we are able to wait another 5 years.. thus why we're doing this now while possible and it's done for the fans in mind. Realistically not going for anything fancy, or flashy nor high-tech trendy but something built from the heart and filling it up with pride being Lee Byung Hun fans we are & always will be.

Gratitude to taprokh for such diligent and consistent effort in setting up the site for us, right from scratch and making it fans-friendly first & foremost. We hope everyone will also feel the pride & love and no longer be reluctant or embarrassed being a part of EverythingLBH-soompi, now EverythingLBH.com as well. Coincidentally, due to the new soompi site-adjustment the "Everything' at the thread description have been dropped recently which seems like an indicator of some sort that could not have happened at a better time, huh.

Please understand that we only started with the idea end of July after BH's 40th birthday. In a way.. this is like our small gift for the 20th Anniversary.. better late than never, right? There are still really really really a lot to compile and share about LBH which we only have less than 40% posted but EverythingLBH will go on and on, like it always has -- here, where it all started. We could never thank everyone enough for all the unconditional sharing we had since 2003 and hope it will continue on for as long as possible.

As online fans.. we are obviously not the ones Byunghun often see & meet at the airports, events and gatherings but to us.. he is the person we see, follow, share and talk about every day albeit just on the internet. Hopefully this new website will enable more international English-speaking fans to know & find out about Korean actor Lee Byung Hun whom we all admire, respect and so adore.

Warmly welcoming everyone to EverythingLBH.com, a tribute to all!

‘Rush Hour 4’ Ad Starring Lee Byung Hun Turns Out To Be A 'Funny Or Die' Parody
BY Julie Jones | KDramaStars.com
When a billboard showing Lee Byung Hun and Sean “Diddy” Combs appeared over a bar on Hollywood Boulevard, many media outlets assumed it was an ad for an actual upcoming sequel in the “Rush Hour” series that previously starred Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. However, it turns out the ad was just part of the set-up for a funny “Funny or Die” parody video.
While it would not be surprising for Lee Byung Hun to be cast in another Hollywood film, following his appearance in “G.I. Joe: Retaliation,” “Red” and the upcoming films “Terminator Genysis” and "Beyond Decit," not everyone was convinced the billboard was for real. The online publication The Daily Beast, suspected that rapper, actor and entrepreneur Combs was creating another parody to follow his recent funny “Downton Diddy” video.

Lee Byung Hun's agency said that it is not a joke. On April 23, his agency, BH Entertainment, confirmed his participation but would not offer any details.
"It is true that Lee Byung Hun participated in a portion of the filming for 'Rush Hour 4.' However, due to the contract, we are not able to confirm anything else."
Be Funny Studios said that the stars had not met before the collaboration. When the U.S. producers and Combs conceived the project they thought that Lee Byung Hun would be a perfect fit.
“We wanted to show everyone something where a Western and Eastern star have a great time together on screen,” said Funny Or Die Studios CEO Won Lee. “I hope it also becomes an opportunity to make Hallyu more well-known.”
The “Rush Hour” film series began in 1998. The original film opened at first place in the box office, earning $33 million and positive reviews. It ultimately earned $244 million and was followed by "Rush Hour 2" in 2001 and "Rush Hour 3" in 2007.
In the parody Lee Byung Hun and Sean "Diddy" Combs swap faces and apparently also bodies in a pointless attempt to confuse a criminal who might recognize them. This gives them the opportunity to exchange plenty of funny jokes about stereotypes.

Rush Hour And Face Off Come Together In Ridiculous Spoof Starring P. Diddy
BY GREGORY WAKEMAN l CINEMABLEND
rh_16.jpg
Have you ever imagined a mishmash of Rush Hour and Face/Off that is held together by the cinematic glue that is P. Diddy? I’m going to guess no. But that hasn’t stopped the good people over at Funny Or Die from creating a film that combines that devilish trifecta. And it makes for one of the most confusing fake trailers of all time.
P. Diddy and Byung-Hun Lee are right: why exactly do they need to change faces? Ah, well – even though it’s preposterous, contrived and doesn’t make a jot of sense, I for one would still pay good money to see Rush Hour 4: Face/Off 2, but only if it was more of the latter than the former.
The filmmakers behind this Funny Or Die video do an good job with this, and it’s enjoyable that it can be seen as riffing on the recent rumors that the Jump Street and Men In Black franchises could be merging. Rush Hour 4/Face/Off 2 has a good number of one-liners and sight gags in there – especially the confusion over exactly why their faces need to be taken off and the doctors watching Face/Off before surgery - which make it worth your while. It is slightly unfortunate that it descends into slew of stereotypical racial jokes though, but I guess that’s just the Rush Hour franchise.. Meanwhile there’s also no denying the fact that it’s also really, really odd. And you really can’t help but be a little bit flabbergasted by what you’ve seen by its conclusion. Still there are worse ways to spend three minutes of your day.
For the uninitiated, 1998’s Rush Hour starred Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan as Detective James Carter and Detective Inspector Lee respectively, and it blended the marital-arts of Chan’s exploits in Eastern movies with Tucker’s fast-talking gags from his American comedies. Meanwhile, Face/Off is John Woo at his twisted and relentless best, and the film is punctuated with fine performances from its dual leads of John Travolta and Nicholas Cage. Released in 1997, it was instantly met with praise because of its hype-violent but poetically stylized action scenes and its intriguing premise. It’s even since developed into a cult classic because of just how beautifully high concept it is.
But should the two movies ever be combined into one super franchise blockbuster that stars none of the original actors and simply plays up the themes from the two series? As entertaining as this Funny or Die video is, I think we can agree that it would be a pretty nonsensical idea.

Lee Byung-hun and Diddy Star in ‘Rush Hour 4, Face Off 2′

Source: KoreAm Journal

What happens when you combine movies Rush Hour and Face Off to create the ultimate cult comedy sequel? Be FUNNY Studios decided to find out and released a parody trailer titled, “Rush Hour 4, Face Off 2,” starring South Korean actor Lee Byung-hun and Sean “Diddy” Combs.

The project initially drew attention after it was advertised on a billboard on Los Angeles’ Hollywood Boulevard and introduced through a press release in South Korea last week. There was growing speculation that there would be another Rush Hour sequel, but Be FUNNY Studios revealed the truth today on their official website.

“The meeting between the two took place through the collaboration of Be FUNNY Studios and Funny or Die. Diddy and the American staff who showed interest were adamant that the Asian star for the project had to be Lee Byung-hun,” Be FUNNY Studios told Koreaboo.

Props to the video production site for some well-played trolling.

In the fake trailer, Lee and Diddy portray detectives who trade their faces for no logical reason, causing Lee to appear as a black man and Diddy to look like an Asian man. This, of course, leads to some hilarious one-liners that toy with racial stereotypes.

In one scene, Lee, who is actually Diddy in disguise, almost runs over a pedestrian with a car. When the pedestrian accuses Lee of being a bad driver due to his ethnicity, Diddy, who is actually Lee (it’s confusing, we know), snaps, “He’s not Asian. He’s black!”
