On March 14th, actor Kim Young Chul (A Bittersweet Life, IRIS) appeared on SBS' entertainment program 'We Will Channel You' (episode 16, 3/14) and he mentioned quite a bit about Lee Byung Hun.

 

Here's the first part, via rough transcript (some info about Brawl Stars, 13:20)

 

Kang Ho Dong (KHD, host): You know, MFBH, right?
Kim Young Chul (KYC): MFBH?
KHD: What do you think that is?
KYC: MFBH?

KHD: MFBH stands for "My Friend Byung Hun".
They say a genius recognizes another genius.
Was he different when you first met him?
KYC: When I was playing a lead role,
Byung Hun entered KBS as a member of the 14th group of actors.
In the drama "Sons of the Wind",
I acted as Byung Hun's elder brother.
While being chased, I got hit by a truck. And I am close to dying.
Byung Hun finds me.
He holds me and says, "You can't die, my brother".
That's the scene.
I had to lie on his knee and die.
But Byung Hun was acting so well.
"Don't die." (KYC showing how BH acted)
I had to die, but I couldn't stop crying.
His acting was different every time.
So, I cried every  time.
(Talented rookie Byung Hun was different).

Third part: Rough transcript from 'We Will Channel You' (episode 16, 3/14), actor Kim Young Chul talked about Lee Byung Hun, his Omma and their generosity.

 

Previously senior actresses praised BH on his hardworking attitude (posted here), this time actor Kim Young Chul shared his thoughts.

KYC: One day, he said during the shoot,
"My uncle went to.."
"the same high school."
"My uncle is Park Chang Geun."
"Park Chang Geun? He was my buddy."
Was he your good friend?
Yes.
I went to his house in Daebang-dong..
and ate with him a lot.
You were close friends.

Goodness.

We got to know each other.
I told Byung Hun, "Okay, Good luck."
We became acquaintances.
Then we were both on "IRIS".

I had to run it for three years.

So I called Byung Hun. (re-enacting their telephone conversation)
"Hi, Byung Hun."
"Congratulations, Yeong Cheol."
"Don't just say congratulations."
(He utilizes Kim Du Han's negotiation skills again = KYC's famous character)
"Since you got a lot of work these days,"
"donate 100,000 dollars for the members of the association,"
"I'll be waiting." (KYC made a joke.)
Three days later, he called.
"It's me." "Yes. Hi."
"Did you send the money?" (KYC was kidding)
"Well..."
"Will 50,000 dollars be okay?" (=50 million won)
"Okay, thank you!"
(Mr.Sunshine is a donation angel.)
(KYC CF line = Mr. 4-Dollar is really different.)
So.. he sent 50,000 dollars that day.
I was so grateful.

I'm his uncle's friend,
but I haven't done anything for him.
I'm still very grateful.

This is the 3rd (final) version of the Brawl Stars CF on Youtube. Even more hilarious and (acting cool) BH is so funny trying to hide from his opponents.  LOL..the bartender part is just.. 

 

Looks like the creator of the CF is another fan of Lee Byung Hun as it features his concert dance moves and especially his hit movies. Similar to 'fangirl' KES and how the scenes in Mr. Sunshine having direct/indirect reference to BH movies.

Life Meets Life | FINANCIAL WELLNESS by 이병헌 - a translation  

 

 

"As someone who has lived his life as an actor all this time, I have professionals taking care of my financial management.  Therefore,  I do not feel the need for  financial management.  Looking at my own financial situation,  however,  I do understand what kind of lifestyle I am leading.   It seems the era of focusing on (financial management) has arrived.

 

Recently,  I have been hooked on Instagram. I would post things that my fans are curious about.  I would also post things that I have done before, hoping that once my fans see it, they will smile, albeit briefly.    This is what I have been doing on Instagram.  Until now, I do not know how well I am doing.  To be honest, I check my instagram 10 times a day!

 

I have no plans on doing things.   Not even on my next project.  I have no expectations because it isn’t as if what I like (or hope) to play would fall on my lap.  My life is like moving with the passage of time, experiencing hard times and thinking whether I have chosen the right path.  Thinking about this, sometimes I feel a little sense of accomplishment.  It creates some kind of opportunity for drinking passionately.  This is after all , a charming career.  It was at such an instant that I feel this kind of work is worth trying.

 

When I first heard about LIFEPLUS, I do not know what kind of brand it is or whether it is a financial product brand.    In order to be healthy physically, mentally and having the inspiration for diversity in life, you really need to judge calmly.  Economics plays an important part: how to make money, how to lay a foundation and invest.  This is something that I cannot answer.

 

I never care about my own economic situation and how money was spent.  Having lived my life without questioning it too much,  I rather be free from thinking about it.

 

For the things that I like to do, I would like to take it to the next level.  I think this is important and wise thinking.  It would be great if this important thing can be understood by more people."
