Brian Dan
That sounds like a fun episode! It’s exciting to see Jaejoong actively recruiting Wheein, especially since they have that connection through her brother. The chemistry between them seems great, and I love how Wheein joked about his “wild look.” It’ll be interesting to see if she takes him up on the offer. Jaejoong really knows how to make a pitch. willenette
*** On October 16, MBC's television show "Radio Star" shared a sneak peek of their upcoming episode online. Here, Jae Joong revealed that he happened to meet producer Lee Soo-man after leaving SM Entertainment. Jae Joong shared, "This was a while ago, but I happened to see Lee Soo-man on a plane. I think it was about four years ago. He was sitting in the seat just after the one next to mine. Since it had been so long and I wanted to tell him my feelings that had changed over time, I asked a flight attendant for an in-flight postcard and spent a full two hours writing a letter to him. I gave it to him when we were getting off, and he encouragingly told me, 'Keep working hard.'" Hearing this, one of the hosts, Kim Gu-ra asked, "Did you both know of each other's presence on the plane?" Jae Joong replied, "Of course we did. I even greeted him. But it wasn't a situation where we could talk. Still, I was satisfied with just giving him the letter. Later, I heard from some SM Entertainment staff and through HeeChul that Lee Soo-man had mentioned our chance meeting on the plane and my letter to him multiple times. Apparently, he told everyone, 'I met Jae Joong some time ago, and he gave me a letter. He wrote a lot on it.' He repeated that three or four times, I heard. I felt relieved to hear that, as it seemed I managed to convey my feelings well to him through my words. I was very grateful; the gratitude was immense. Despite various incidents, the reason I exist today is that he helped me debut and shaped who I am now, so I wanted to express my gratitude properly." source : SBS Star
willenette
*** In the October 16th episode of 'Radio Star', Jaejoong opened up about his adoption. He revealed he learned about his adoption while filming the MV for TVXQ’s 'I Believe'. As the youngest son with 8 older sisters, he said, "My parents never told me. At that time, society wasn't very kind to adoptees so they thought it best to keep it a secret for my sake. I later found out most of my friends knew but kept it from me until I was older." He also talked about his older sister, who is just one year older than him. "We don't actually have a 10-month difference, so she kept her real birthday a secret and never celebrated her birthday on the actual day to avoid rumors in our small town. It wasn't until we became adults that we finally celebrated her real birthday. I was really grateful for that." Jae Joong then revealed how he found out he was adopted was through a phone call. I received a call from an unknown number.", he recounted. "Normally, I wouldn't have answered an unknown number since I was getting a lot of calls from sasaeng fans back then. But this call felt different. I felt that I had to answer it. I stopped filming for a moment and answered. 'Jae-joon, how have you been?', the caller said. I thought, 'That's the old name my aunt used to call me. Who's this person calling me that way?'. And then, it all came together. All the oddities in my life suddenly made sense. That's how I found out that I was adopted. What happened was that my then-agency published a photo book featuring TVXQ! members, and in it was my photo snapped before I was three. My biological mother saw it and reached out." In 2013, Oh Seo-jin, Jae Joong's biological mother, appeared on a television show and shared her story. "I went through a divorce at a young age and was financially distressed. A friend suggested I send Jae Joog to a family that could take better care of him. I didn't consider it an adoption; I just thought it was a temporary arrangement." She talked about meeting Jae Joong again after he became a K-pop star and how happy they were to reconnect. source : SBS Star
willenette
*** Recently, Jaejoong has made a comeback to programming in Korea after years of being blacklisted, appearing as a contestant on Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant. During one episode, he introduced his parents, who filmed alongside him in the impressive home he had built for them. Here, he discussed his future marriage. When his parents were mentioning that one of his sisters had just had a child and that the father would be in his 60s when their kid was a teenager, after some nagging, Jaejoong finally said that it would happen after at least three years had passed. This seems to be a common answer for Jaejoong, as his parents stated that he “always says three years.” This time, however, his father told him that he needs to “set it in stone,” that they're serious of the topic. photo/video source : Koreaboo
