MBN’s “Bad Memory Eraser” has shared a sneak peek of Kim Jae Joong’s bold attempts to woo Jin Se Yeon!

“Bad Memory Eraser” is a new romance drama about a man whose life changes due to a memory eraser and the woman who holds his fate in her hands. JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong stars as Lee Kun, who was once a promising tennis player but lost his self-esteem and confidence after an injury. Jin Se Yeon stars as neuropsychiatrist Kyung Joo Yeon, who unintentionally winds up becoming Lee Kun’s fake first love through memory manipulation.

Spoilers

In newly released stills from the drama’s next episode, the smitten Lee Kun follows Kyung Joo Yeon around like a lost puppy. When he spots Kyung Joo Yeon through a window, he can’t stop himself from pursing his lips and making a kissy face in a cute display of affection.

Later, Lee Kun tries to win Kyung Joo Yeon over with a romantic proposal in the elevator. Having prepared a yellow tulip, Lee Kun gets down on one knee to make a dashing confession of his feelings. However, Kyung Joo Yeon’s stiff reaction—and the disbelieving looks of her colleagues as they watch the scene unfold—suggests that his romantic gesture may not get the response he’d hoped for.

4 Times Kim Jae Joong Showed His Charms In Episodes 3-4 Of "Bad Memory Eraser"

20240816025513_bad-memory-eraser-14.jpg?

Bad Memory Eraser” continues its way to enchant viewers with its unique plot and complex characters. Last week, we got to meet Lee Kun (Kim Jae Joong), a tennis player whose life turned for the worse after a tragic accident ended his promising career, and Kyung Joo Yeon (Jin Se Yeon), a psychiatrist with the social skills of a rock. These two people see their fates intertwine after Lee Kun undergoes an experimental procedure that erases all his bad memories from his mind. In the process, he mistakes Joo Yeon as his first love, the one person who saved his life. In this week’s episodes, the plot resumes right after the moment Joo Yeon accepts to keep pretending to be Lee Kun’s first love, and he sets on a mission to conquer her heart, displaying all of his charismatic antics in order to achieve his goals. Will his efforts actually work on the icy doctor, or will he see his new romantic interest get taken away yet again?

Here are some moments when Lee Kun showed his charms in the previous episodes of “Bad Memory Eraser”:

Warning: spoilers from episodes 3-4 ahead!

1. Relentlessly professing his love to Kyung Joo Yeon

One of the most evident effects in Lee Kun after losing his bad memories is getting back his confidence and self esteem, which he puts to work in full power in order to charm his first love, or at least the person he believes is his first love. Though for some people his new personality might be a little over the top, the change comes as proof that what was holding back his potential was the ghost from the past that he couldn’t let go. He isn’t afraid to be a little eccentric when it comes to displaying his good looks or being the straightforward man that he claims to be, all to get a chance of winning the heart of Kyung Joo Yeon.

He goes so far as to flee his hospital room several times in order to follow Joo Yeon around. His confidence is such that he doesn’t budge even when she confesses that she has a boyfriend. Though in his eyes she is the prettiest and cutest woman, he can’t believe she is actually in a relationship since she is constantly absorbed by her work, which wouldn’t allow her to be very attentive to a partner. Nonetheless, he accepts that she can’t accept his feelings, though he finds it disappointing that she seems too in love with a man who isn’t interested in her at all. So, he asks her to at least find someone who truly cares for her, that is, until she agrees to date him.

bad-memory-eraser7-1.jpg

bad-memory-eraser1_3d35ec.jpg

2. Being considerate of Kyung Joo Yeon’s feelings

One of Lee Kun’s charming points is that, despite all his confidence and overbearing attitude, the moment Joo Yeon sets her boundaries, he fully respects them, not wanting to cross the line that she marks. He goes so far as to protect her from finding out that her so-called boyfriend is actually cheating on her and taking advantage of her to favor another woman. Though he could use this fact in order to fulfill his purposes, he prefers to accept her cold rejection instead of seeing her getting hurt by the truth.

bad-memory-eraser9-1.jpg

bad-memory-eraser8-1.jpg

bad-memory-eraser10-1.jpg

The sincere feelings he has for Joo Yeon should be enough to at least gain some brownie points, but she is ruthless when it comes to drawing the line between them. It’s contrary to her attitude toward the selfish man she likes, or even towards Lee Shin (Lee Jong Won), who seems to be getting way closer to her than Lee Kun. However, she doesn’t seem all that indifferent towards him, as she takes care of him in a silent way, though the reasons behind her cold attitude are still unknown. It looks like there’s much more to discover about her and the painful past that she herself is carrying in her memories.

bad-memory-eraser-2-4.jpg

bad-memory-eraser-3-2.jpg

3. Comforting and advising his younger brother

One of the best moments in these recent two episodes is definitely the little exchange between Lee Kun and Lee Shin. At the beginning of the drama, the tension and awkwardness between the brothers is quite obvious. Still, despite their complicated relationship, they truly care for each other. Even if it is due to Lee Shin feeling guilty for having stolen everything that once belonged to Lee Kun, from his career to his parents’ attention, he puts up with his older brother’s crazy antics. And he heeds his brother’s advice when Lee Kun tells him to work for his own dreams rather than for other people’s.

bad-memory-eraser-4-2.jpg

bad-memory-eraser-5-2-e1723776226700.jpg

In Lee Kun’s case, despite having lost many bad memories that could be related to his family, he doesn’t completely forget all his time with them, as he keeps some of his childhood memories with his younger brother. One of those specifically refers to his desire to become one of the biggest stars in the whole universe. Something to really look forward to is seeing whether this new chance in his life will make him achieve his dream or not. For now, it seems that Lee Kun is ready to start his way into stardom, whether it’s as an athlete or as something else.

4. Starting anew in his career, this time as a sports agent

Though Lee Kun is now aware of his brimming charms and full potential, he seems to also realize that his condition as an athlete isn’t the best. After all, even if his memories and trauma are gone, he can’t turn into a professional player overnight. But what he does realize is that his analytical abilities for athletes’ conditions are top-notch. So, he starts his new journey as a sport agent, signing the most popular female tennis player, who coincidentally happens to be a great fan of his, into his newly established agency.

bad-memory-eraser-3-3.jpg

bad-memory-eraser-4-3.jpg

He even sets the perfect scenario to get his payback on the director from the agency he used to work for, displaying a very clever and insightful mind, which hopefully will help him to overcome the challenges in the episodes to come. There’s still a lot to discover from this drama, like the full story behind Lee Kun’s past memories or how involved Lee Shin was in his brother’s accident, the role Joo Yeon will take in both brothers’ lives, the mysterious identity of Lee Kun’s first love, and so much more. All we can do is to stay tuned for what “Bad Memory Eraser” has in store for us in the upcoming episodes!

3 Times Jin Se Yeon & Kim Jae Joong Were On Each Other's Side In Episodes 5-6 Of "Bad Memory Eraser"

20240820040513_Bad-memory-eraser-17.jpg?

In last week’s episodes we get to see a whole new facet in both Lee Kun (Kim Jae Joong) and Kyung Joo Yeon (Jin Se Yeon) as well as a small development in their relationship. We also get to see more about other characters, plus a lot of new hints at what exactly happened during Lee Kun’s accident. The most significant thing for now is that at least our main couple is starting to form a bond that compels them to support and help each other. Could this be the key to their future relationship? Let’s find out! Here are some of the moments where both Lee Kun and Joo Yeon took each other’s side and formed a united front.

Warning: spoilers from episodes 5-6 below!

1. Trying to find a sponsor for Lee Kun’s agency

In the past few episodes, we saw Lee Kun struggling to get closer to Kyung Joo Yeon, who was trying her best to keep her distance from him since she had great uncertainties about pretending to be his first love. However, as Lee Kun’s focus starts to divert toward growing his agency, one of the things Kyung Joo Yeon decides to do is supporting him in his endeavors. Despite trying to be detached and keeping her distance not only from her patients but from his colleagues as well, she can’t seem to be all that indifferent to Lee Kun’s dreamy eyes everytime they are together, and she doesn’t ruthlessly reject him.

So when it is evident that Lee Kun won’t stay quietly in the hospital, Joo Yeon appoints herself as Lee Kun’s medical guardian, following him to a horse racing venue where he plans to find his first big investor. Displaying his great abilities to identify advantages and disadvantages even in horses, he succeeds in getting the interest of the investor, impressing Joo Yeon in the process as well. Even more, he takes this chance to smoothly approach her, making her heart flutter the moment he nonchalantly puts on her seatbelt for her. As he is well aware of her boundaries, he tries to keep a respectful distance, but anyone can tell he also knows when and where to take his chance to pursue her.

2. Confronting Kyung Joo Yeon’s boyfriend

One of the most satisfying things to watch in these couple of episodes was when Joo Yeon finally realizes the type of trash that she is dating. Naturally, Lee Kun was already aware of this, but he doesn’t say anything until she hears for herself that this man is only playing with her and is cheating with another colleague. Although she hesitates to confront him about his deceit, still lingering on the feelings he supposedly had for her, Lee Kun doesn’t hold back anymore. He goes to tell him to stop messing around with Joo Yeon, showing a fierceness that we hadn’t seen until that moment.

bad-memory-eraser8.png

bad-memory-eraser10.png

bad-memory-eraser9.png

Sadly, confused and wounded, Joo Yeon lashes out against Lee Kun, who accepts to stop meddling in her affairs after understanding that she isn’t willing to open up to him or to anybody. It is only until she realizes that her personal feelings have put Lee Kun into a dangerous situation—since the neurosurgery team performs an unconventional test on him without informing her beforehand—that she finally faces off her colleague and refuses to hand down the information about her research. But by the time she is aware of her mistake, Lee Kun has made the decision to stop pursuing her, fighting his feelings and taking a completely cold attitude towards her.

bad-memory-eraser-2.png

bad-memory-eraser-3.png

bad-memory-eraser-4.png

3. Kyung Joo Yeon offering to work in Lee Kun’s agency

After only six episodes, it’s time now for Joo Yeon to chase after Lee Kun. Though it isn’t exactly in a romantic way, she endures Lee Kun’s detached attitude towards her and follows him around in order to be the attendant doctor at his agency, something that isn’t easy for her to say the least. For starters, the fact that she knows little to nothing about tennis is already a disadvantage, which puts her in a clueless position in front of the athletes. Apart from this, she also can’t get used to Lee Kun giving her the cold shoulder after all the time he spent trying to win her heart, but since he is trying his best to control his feelings for her, it is only fair that she now respects his distance

.

bad-memory-eraser-6.png

bad-memory-eraser-7.png

bad-memory-eraser-8.png

For better or for worse, Lee Kun can’t be indifferent toward Joo Yeon as he inadvertently keeps giving in to her, even if that means being in an awkward position or getting hurt. Despite his efforts, he is still interested in her, something that not only worries his best friend but also viewers as well since it looks like Lee Shin (Lee Jong Won) is also falling in love with her. Having a love triangle isn’t the best scenario for them at all, considering that Lee Shin did date Jeon Sae Yan (Yang Hye Ji), Lee Kun’s true first love. It is yet to be seen how much more entangled their love story will be in the future. Furthermore, there’s still the question of how exactly Lee Shin was involved in his brother’s accident. With all of these enigmas to be resolved, let’s eagerly wait for the upcoming episodes of “Bad Memory Eraser”!

5 Times Things Got Complicated In Episodes 7-8 Of "Bad Memory Eraser"

20240826030804_Bad-Memory-Eraser-18.jpg?

Every week “Bad Memory Eraser” takes us on a journey that still has an uncertain destination. Though it has been definitely entertaining in its own particular way, it seems that things are about to get even more difficult for both Lee Kun (Kim Jae Joong) and Kyung Joo Yeon (Jin Se Yeon). The already entangled relationship between the lead couple becomes even more complicated with several things happening all at once, making us more intrigued as to how the second half of the drama will resolve these issues. Here are five times when things got tricky in last week’s episodes.

Warning: spoilers from episodes 7-8 ahead!

1. Lee Shin having a crush on Kyung Joo Yeon

If you were ever unsure whether a love triangle would play out in this K-drama, now it’s completely obvious that Lee Shin (Lee Jong Won) is really interested in Kyung Joo Yeon. Though at first he seems contradicted by the fact he likes his brother’s first love, the moment he realizes that Joo Yeon isn’t actually the person his brother loves, he lets his feelings get loose. And apparently, it’s a thing among the Lee brothers to be completely candid about showing their feelings for the person they fancy.

Spoiler

bad-memory-eraser1-1.png

bad-memory-eraser4-1.png

Just like Lee Kun at first, Lee Shin looks for all and every chance he has to get a little closer to Joo Yeon, who is unsurprisingly unaware of his feelings. Lee Shin goes as far as to offer to help conceal the fact that Joo Yeon isn’t his brother’s first love, even when he knows who that person is in reality. Though love triangles are unpredictable, and even more since the main couple isn’t together yet, by the end of episode 8 we can see that the person who is bound to suffer the most out of this situation is without a doubt Lee Shin.

2. Lee Kun meeting his true first love

Speaking of love triangles, another one that is cooking up is the one between Lee Kun, Joo Yeon, and Jeon Se Yan (Yang Hye Ji), his true first love. It is actually incredible that after half of the drama has passed, she and Lee Kun have barely had any interactions, despite her actually looking for him and the fact that she considers him a very important person in her life. Just as much as Lee Shin, Se Yan is a pretty mysterious character, which we still have a lot to discover in the future.

One thing is clear though, her personality seems to match pretty well with Lee Kun’s. Could it be due to their past together? Despite the few moments they share in these couple of episodes, the chemistry between these two could bring a lot of complications for the developing relationship between Joo Yeon and Lee Kun. However, could Se Yan really reclaim her place in Lee Kun’s heart when Joo Yeon, first love or no, is already taking up so much of it?

3. Lee Kun slowly recovering his memories

Throughout the drama, we’ve seen how impactful someone’s memories are, and particularly in Lee Kun’s case, how much that painful past was holding back his full potential. Despite having a second chance to start anew, it looks like not even science can prevent those memories from coming back and hunting him down once again. Even with Joo Yeon’s and Lee Shin’s efforts to hide exactly what happened to Lee Kun, he is starting to connect the dots and realizing that there’s much more behind his accident.

bad-memory-eraser-5.png

bad-memory-eraser-6-1.png

Completely determined to find out the truth, he even inquires with the paramedics who attended his emergency call at the moment of his accident, only to discover that he didn’t fall on the stairs at his home but was actually drowning after falling from a bridge. As confusing as it is, he still has many more things to figure out, like the snippets of memories he gets from time to time and that take him back to the moment he saw his first love with his brother. Will the heartbreak be as devastating as the first time now that Joo Yeon is in the picture? Or will the disappointment after knowing she is deceiving him be even more painful?

bad-memory-eraser-7-1.png

bad-memory-eraser-8-1.png

4. Kyung Joo Yeon having confusing feelings

One more complication to this whole mess is that Joo Yeon is slowly letting her guard down around Lee Kun, which brings her to understand that the cold and detached attitude she had toward everybody, from her patients to her family, isn’t exactly the way to deal with her own painful past. Despite trying to be completely different from her dad (a psychiatrist who tended to be too involved with his patients), turning into a completely indifferent person in order to avoid struggling with her emotions isn’t making her a good doctor nor bringing her happiness.

bad-memory-eraser-9-1.png

bad-memory-eraser-10-1.png

As much as this little character development is welcome, there’s still a long way to go for her, especially considering that she still can’t figure out what she feels for Lee Kun. Plus, she doesn’t realize that Lee Shin is falling deeper in love with her the more she shows her concern for him. Apart from all this, she even has to keep supervising Lee Kun as the subject of her medical trial, which is still at risk to be snatched from the neurosurgical department at her hospital.

5. Lee Shin’s agent finding out about his secret

As if all of that wasn’t enough, now that Lee Kun is actually succeeding as an agent and securing the proper investment for his business with his brother about to switch to his agency, Lee Shin has to deal with blackmailing from his current agency’s president. This president isn’t afraid to use every means necessary in order to ensure that he doesn’t lose another athlete to Lee Kun. Lee Shin initially thinks that the only thing the president has against him are the photos of him with Se Yan, but he quickly falls into the president’s trap when he mentions Lee Kun’s accident.

bad-memory-eraser-8-2.png

Shockingly, we discover that the photos he has against Lee Shin can prove that he was the one who pushed Lee Kun from the bridge that night, something that surely will cause more than just a misunderstanding in the future. However, there’s still so much to reveal from that moment, from the past relationship between the brothers and even how exactly the romantic square will evolve, so we can’t miss all that is to come this week in “Bad Memory Eraser”!

Previously on “Bad Memory Eraser,” the love triangle continued to heat up as Lee Kun and Kyung Joo Yeon grew closer while Lee Shin (Lee Jong Won) struggled with his unrequited love. Meanwhile, through a conversation between Lee Shin and Jun Man (Han Sang Jin), Lee Kun learned that he had fallen off a bridge into the Han River, bringing him one step closer to the truth about his life-changing accident.

*** I hope his new boy group will have amazing vocals considering Jaejoong is considered one of the best vocalist in the industry. What's funny tho is that SM got him for his visuals rather than vocals. I also hope they have good visuals. I can't wait to see what he's come up with and has developed. I wonder what type of boy group they are. Knowing Jaejoong,  they must all be vocalists, and not focus on dancing so it either would be ballad type group or band. Good luck, Jaejoong!   :getmygrooveon:
