*** On August 30th, Jaejoong graced the airwaves as a special DJ on MBC FM4U‘s 4 O’Clock with Yoon Dohyun. While this in itself was noteworthy — following 14 years of being “blacklisted” from MBC programs after his legal feud with SM Entertainment — it was his candid conversation about his looks that stole the limelight and sent social media into a frenzy. The discussion began when a listener, clearly remarked that he looked “excessively handsome. To this, Jaejoong replied with unanticipated modesty. "I’m not handsome, only have a unique and  distinctive face." There's a difference between a “handsome face” and a “distinctive face.” But, Jaejoong made sure to thank the listener for complimenting his looks. He's not my oppa if he's not on my "handsome” category. Jaejoong has a timeless charm and charisma.   :Twerkdatbutt:

*** On August 31st, the YouTube channel “uhmg” uploaded a new episode for the content “Jaejoong and Friends” with the title “Junior singer from old company turns out to be a senior”. That day, Girls’ Generation Sooyoung showed up and shared various talks with Kim Jae Joong. He commented in the video, “I’ve never seen anyone who’s pretty and funny at the same time. Pretty is pretty. Funny is funny. But there’s no one pretty and funny”. Sooyoung’s first impression of Kim Jae Joong, she said, “Your eyes were big”.  He personally think that Yoona is too pretty. "Those who look too pretty are not my preference”.   :heart2:

*** Also on September 1st, episode of 'uhmg', Jaejoong talked about relationships and dating with Girls' Generation's Sooyoung.  Jaejoong asked her, "Haven't you been dating Jung Kyung Ho for a long time? Can we talk about this?"  After she agreed, Jaejoong responded, "It's good to see. To be honest, it's difficult to date openly. I'm an actor, but I'm most especially an idol. I can't do it. I can't be in a public relationship. Idols should hide it. That's why, I'm against going public with dating." For me, this kind of negativity has to be broken, it simply about change but, it is a law of nature in SK's entertainment. She then asked what he would do if his girlfriend wanted to date publicly, and Jaejoong joked, "I have a girlfriend right now," referring to his fans. I guess if he wants to be private it's his choice. That's fine. But, I believe that idols can and should be able to openly date if they want without this counter-attack to their careers. There are fans who are on another level of toxic. These are crazy fans. I can't blame him - he’s seen the ugly side of the idol/fan relationship and dynamic especially those saesang fans. I understand him. I totally respect and agree with his decisions. If a couple is seen out somewhere, no need to hide it, no need to explain it either.     :kitty:

*** Girls’ Generation‘s Sooyoung and Jaejoong looked back on their trainee days together on the latter’s web series Jaefriends. As seniors from K-Pop’s second generation, they revealed how much the culture among idols has changed at music shows. During the years Jaejoong was active in TVXQ!, he remembered personally handing CDs to their seniors at music shows. Even if they weren’t delivering CDs, the rookie groups always went out of their way to greet their seniors. He said, “Or we have to line up in front of the senior’s waiting room and say ‘Hi’ to them.” That was no longer the case for newer idols. He said, “But these days, they don’t even give CDs nor say ‘Hi.’ Or they meet in the corridor to film challenge videos together.” Sooyoung confirmed that newer idols were “becoming more American style” at music shows. Rather than following old traditions, they were more relaxed about Korea’s seniority hierarchy. Jaejoong even shared the multiple times when younger idols greeted him formally and immediately switched to acting informally. Although Sooyoung and Jaejoong were protective of the old traditions, they acknowledged the new generation’s changes and accepted they “should get used to it.” As K-Pop keeps evolving, the culture among idols is part of those changes.   :heart2:

*** On September 14th, the YouTube channel “uhmg” uploaded a new video of the content “Jaefriends” featuring the guest appearance of Park Semee. In the video, Semee said, “What I’m curious about is… I still remember your piercings”. Taken aback by the sudden mention of piercing, Jae Joong asked back, “Which piercing? Which one?”. Semee responded, “It sounds weird if you say ‘that piercing’. Your nipples…”.  Hearing that, he put one hand on his chest and said, “Right…!”. Semee added, “Yeah, the important thing was that it looked cool. But why did you get your nipples pierced? I was curious about that”. Jae Joong replied, “I was addicted to piercings. That’s why I have 13 to 14 holes in my ears”. He added, “But as I kept getting my ears pierced, there was no room to pierce, but I couldn’t get my face pierced so I was looking for a body part to pierce and chose nipples. But it hurt a lot”. Semee then wondered, “Honestly, everyone was curious about it. Have you talked about why you had nipple piercings on any show?”. Jae Joong laughed and said, “No, you’re the first person to ask me this question”.  Semee commented, “When I heard that I’m gonna film with Jae Joong, the first thing I thought about was his nipple piercings…You could have explained the reason. Now I get it. There was nowhere to get pierced in your ears. And your face was beautiful and you were the visual so you just got nipples pierced, right?”. Jae Joong then said, “It hurt so much, so please don’t do that guys. I don’t recommend it”.  Jae Joong made headlines when he revealed his nipple piercings during the time he was active as a member of TVXQ in the past. At that time, photos of Kim Jae Joong’s piercings spread widely in all online communities.

*** Jung Yong Hwa guested on the September 21 episode of Kim Jae Joong's YouTube Channel. The (2) handsome men. But before he entered the studio, Jae Joong had to guess who the guest would be from a self-describing sketch the guest left for him. He was happy to see him, but could not help but wonder what the meaning of Jung Yong Hwa's sketch was. Jung Yong Hwa explained by mentioning his work, SBS' drama 'You're Beautiful', but Kim Jae Joong was still confused since he did not know that Jung Yong Hwa starred in it. As they talked more, however, they started to get close by complimenting each other on their looks. Jung Yong Hwa told him, "Wow, you don't appear to have aged at all.", and Kim Jae Joong returned with, "Hey, you look the same, too." When Jung Yong Hwa asked him if he had been working out, he replied that he had been taking walks outside these days. Then Jaejoong said, "When people like us go walk outside, things like fruit flies and spider webs keep drawing to our faces." Jung Yong Hwa replied, "I know, it always gets in the eyes.", Kim Jae Joong remarked, "It's because we have eyes like a lake! Those bugs try to dive right in, mistaking them for lake water." Jung Yong Hwa laughed loudly at the randomness of this comment.  :kitty:

*** For episode 10 of his web series Jaefriends, Jaejoong was surprised by his youngest guests so far. CRAVITY‘s Minhee, Hyeongjun, and Jungmo stopped by to promote their group’s comeback. And because it was Jaejoong’s first time meeting his juniors, he asked them to share their ages. Jungmo shocked Jaejoong by revealing that he was (24) years old in Korean age. Noticing his reaction, Minhee asked Jaejoong what age he’d initially thought Jungmo was. Complimenting their youthful looks, he revealed his initial thoughts of Jungmo being 19. Jaejoong guessed that Hyeongjun was (17) years old. He was shocked once again to find out he was actually (22) in Korean age.   :allgoodlol:

*** Dara and Jaejoong recently filmed for Jaejoong’s talk show JaeFriends together, and revealed they met and became friends before 2NE1 debuted when they both auditioned for the same movie. Afterward, it was difficult to acknowledge their friendship because of the strong “rivalry” between SM Entertainment and YG Entertainment at the time. Although they couldn’t publicly acknowledge their friendships, it didn’t stop them from being friends and fans of each other. Reflecting on their busy schedules in their earlier years, Sandara stated that K-Pop’s first and second generation “had to go through a lot,” while Jaejoong added that, compared to the past, current-day idols have it “easier now.”   :heart2:

*** On Jaejoong's online podcast, he recounted a few of the terrible incidents he experienced about his stalkers and sasaengs. He would receive photo text messages of his house’s living room, kitchen, and bedroom. What was the scariest was that Jaejoong was in every single one of those photos. Just how did they manage to take them? Jaejoong later found out that the sasaengs had come in on their tip-toes, taken the photos, and left. How they found out his phone number was another mystery. He changed the locks on the doors after that incident. Another time, after he moved out on his own, he realized that the sasaengs had managed to rent out or buy the apartment opposite his. It was the exact floor that he lived on. Whenever he went out on the terrace, they would stare at him. It was a pity as Jaejoong had chosen the house for the terrace, which he now couldn’t even use. What convinced him to move out was when his doorbell rang at dawn. When he went to check the video intercom system, there was no one there. A few minutes later, the bell rang again, but there was no one there. Finally, when he opened the door, he experienced some difficulty opening it all the way. Scarily, he saw that there was someone sitting behind the door. In shock, he closed the door. After a second, he went out and gave chase. He called the police when he got a hold of the sasaeng and recognized the sasaeng. The last story he shared is possible the scariest. He had ordered food through delivery, and the delivery staff rang the doorbell. The delivery staff had a cap on, pushed down as much as it could be. They looked up at him, with only the whites of their eyes visible under the cap. When he asked if they could ring his bill up, they simply smiled at him creepily asking, “You know me right?” Jaejoong denied it, but they simply went “oh, is that so?” and got on the elevator. Jaejoong reenacted the sasaeng‘s creepy grin. Jaejoong called the restaurant to inquire about the staff’s identity. To his shock, the delivery staff had quit just seconds ago! Meaning, the staff had worked at the restaurant simply only to make a delivery to Jaejoong’s house. Jaejoong was plagued by sasaengs for 12 years before his life settled down. Although he doesn’t get bothered by sasaengs any more, it is impressive how he managed to stay strong throughout the 12 years.   :heart2:

*** In a recent online event, fans were thrilled when they were treated to a live performance of the hit song "Mirotic" by Jaejoong when he appeared as a special guest on the YouTube show, 'Jo Hyun Ah's Thursday Night.' This track is renowned as one of the most popular songs ever released by TVXQ. What a blast from the past. I like TVXQ, same as it is now, with Changmin & Yunho especially the latter one. During this show, when musical guests are introduced, Jo Hyun Ah personally plays the piano, and the guests sing as they enter the room. On this day, she began playing the melody for the song and Jaejoong made a grand entrance while lending his amazing vocals for the song.   :kaching3:

*** Jaejoong opened up about an incident from his past on “Talking Queens,” aired on October 26th. The conversation led to his preferences in women, with him admitting he had an interest in both Japanese and Korean women. “I once experienced the taste of being cheated on by a Japanese woman. She was even a celebrity." When asked about how he discovered her cheating, Jaejoong explained, “I read an article on the Internet.” It was the first time he realized that she had been dating someone else before him. When asked if he noticed any odd behavior from her, Jaejoong said, “I think that if we were dating, we would be in contact every day, but maybe the Japanese don’t have that habit.” At the time, he believed it was a cultural difference. “It’s been a long time since I could date. I realize that I shouldn’t step into that field right now…“ Six months after the breakup, the woman reached out to him, admitting, “I really like Jaejoong.” She even confessed her feelings, but Jaejoong found it challenging to move past what had happened.  Jaejoong added one more intriguing detail, sharing, “I gave her a diary recording my thoughts and feelings for a month, but it seems she only opened it after breaking up with her ex-boyfriend.“  :yaaa:

*** Recently, Kim Jae Joong's YouTube show 'Jae Friends', featuring Hong Seok-chun, was released. Here, entertainer Hong Seok-chun shared that he once received a gift of cash from JaeJoong. During their conversation, Hong Seok-chun revealed that JaeJoong is a regular customer at his restaurant in Itaewon, Seoul, and his employees all love him. "You're so nice that every single one of my employees loves you. You're one of the top three celebrities that they love to have at the restaurant."JaeJoong's eyes widened upon hearing that he was not at the very top of the list; he asked in surprise, "Who's more popular among them than me?" Hong Seok-chun laughed, then told him that it was Jang Dong-gun, because not only is he gentle, but he also always gives a generous amount of tips to everyone. JaeJoong responded, "Oh, I mean, I could totally give them a tip as well, but I never have cash on me." Then, Hong Seok-chun recalled the time when he saw JaeJoong with lots of cash on him, which surprisingly turned out to be all his. "Do you remember handing me an envelope of cash on the street of Itaewon? You came to me running with that cash in your hand and said, 'I rushed here, so I wasn't able to prepare anything else for you." JaeJoong responded, "Ah yes, of course I do. It was your birthday, and I was like, 'I have to give him something, but he's probably got everything he needs and wants at home. I can't really ask him what he wants either. Hmm... You know what then? I should just give him money!'" That turned out to be an excellent idea, because Hong Seok-chun said that he could not be happier after opening the envelope filled with money. "It was my first time getting cash as a birthday gift. There were 100 of 10,000 won notes in it, adding up to 1 million won in total, and the notes were all new. I absolutely loved it!"  :emmm:
