*** JYJ celebrate their 20th debut anniversary despite reputation stained by scandal. That's why, it’s difficult for their fans  to see their idols gathering as a whole group even on their debut anniversary. The 20th debut anniversary of JYJ members Kim Jun Su and Kim Jae Joong are both this month (March) but the atmosphere is not entirely celebratory. Though they should be congratulated as “long-lasting idols” for having spent such a long time with their fans in the entertainment industry, they still cannot shake off the shameful labels that follow them. Although the two did not mention member Park Yoo Chun, who has been embroiled in various controversies, his name is still brought up whenever they gather in one place. It is because Park Yoo Chun has never directly announced his withdrawal from the group. Kim Jae Joong and Kim Jun Su did a photoshoot together for the fashion magazine Cosmopolitan to commemorate their 20th debut anniversary this year. When asked about their feelings on the 20th anniversary, Kim Jae Joong said, “It’s already been this much time… While having that thought, I think this is the time when we can be confident that we can do more things in the future.”  Regarding their plans for the 20th anniversary, the two shared, “We will not just let the 20th debut anniversary pass by”.   :kaching3:

*** Kim Jae Joong has confirmed that he is preserving his sperm for the possibility of having children in the future three years ago to protect his genes. He spoke about this on the Channel A TV program “Grooming Academy” during his guest appearance. He revealed that he truly wants to date and be in a relationship, but due to his shy nature, he hasn’t been able to “confess” to anyone. Jae Joong explained the reason for not dating and being in a relationship: “The most basic problem is that I don’t have enough time. Don’t even talk about dating, I can’t even meet friends. I’m only in Korea for seven months a year, and the rest of the time is spent abroad.” He also disclosed that he has eight older sisters who are all unmarried. However, he also noted that the best storage time for frozen sperm is only three to five years, and after that time, the quality of the sperm will decline. On the program, the MC asked him about his ideal type of woman to marry. He said, like most people, he would “feel attracted” to a girl who has many things in common with him, making him feel close instead of hesitant. He also revealed that his favorite type of girlfriend is actress Han Go Eun.  :kaching1:

*** JYJ‘s Jaejoong and Junsu recently reunited for a joint interview with Cosmopolitan Korea, where they caught up on current trends and discussed their past. They have remained active as soloists and actors, with the latter also starring in many musicals. During their interview with the magazine, they filled fans in on what they’ve been up to recently. Jaejoong shared that he had kept busy interacting with fans through tours, fan meetings, and solo promotions. While reflecting on the past year, they shared that one of their most memorable moments was reuniting for a performance at an award ceremony in Japan. The two shared that they hoped to do something special for their 20th debut anniversary, which is soon but had nothing solidified at the time of the interview. Jaejoong hilariously shared that in the past, idols’ stylists and makeup artists didn’t follow them to concerts, so if they messed up their appearance on the way to the venue, they were stuck with their altered look. A few of the main differences they’ve noticed is how popularity is gauged, specifically with social media. When Jaejoong and Junsu debuted, they didn’t have dance challenges, and social media was used in a completely different way to promote idols. Jaejoong hilariously compared today’s dance challenges to UCCs (user-created content), such as dance covers, vocal covers, fan-made videos, and more, from when they promoted in the past, causing Junsu to enthusiastically disagree. Another way idols could gauge their popularity before social media became what it is today was the annual Dream Concert.   :wut:

*** Jaejoong told Cosmopolitan Korea that working in the current generation of K-Pop is easier in certain ways now than before. Nowadays, there are stylists with them who make sure they look picture perfect all throughout the show. This was a noticeable change to how the industry worked over a decade ago.   :heart2beat:
