Kim JaeJoong : "Tears come out when I think of the past"



In the interview with Nocut News, Kim Jaejoong revealed, “In the early phase of the scenario, I was just being me. Of course it was not the case in the later part of the story but I think everybody would be like that if they were kidnapped.“

“In the movie, there is a scene where I told Bong Minjung ‘It was so hard for me in the past. I don’t want to live that life again. I am doing just fine now.’ It’s not a scene with extreme emotion and I didn’t have to cry but I found myself shedding tears. That cut was used in the movie but it actually wasn’t in the original script. There were many before-debut stories that I couldn’t tell. Maybe my tears fell because of those thoughts.“

Last time at the showcase, director Bae Hyungjoon has praised the ‘messy’ image of Kim Jaejoong. About this, Kim Jaejoong humbly said, “I think he feels relieved seeing me let go of all restrictions without hesitation.  And it seems that he liked the ad-libs [that I made]. Maybe he praised me because I has quickly adapted.“

I asked if his fans were shocked by his ‘messy’ image and received a surprising answer. He said, “I think my fans like it very much as they can see various images of mine. Actually, I also thought that they would love it when I was filming.”

Kim Jaejoong is expanding his territory as an actor. He said, “Acting is a new domain. The more I do it, the more I find it refreshing and attractive. It gives motivation to keep going in the future.”

But it doesn’t mean that Kim Jaejoong would neglect activities as a singer. He promised, “All the members are busy with individual activities. Therefore, we are preparing in advance for new album in spare time. I’ll continue music activities as JYJ and as individual.”

Like he said, JYJ members have many individual activities now. Drama of Park Yoochun is on air. Kim Junsu continues his musical activities. Like this, it cannot avoid the situation that they have to compete with each other. Even though, the presence of the members is still his great source of strength.

Kim Jaejoong expressed his honest feeling, “The members have activities in the same fields and our activities overlap. That’s why we might feel self-conscious or uncomfortable. We are trying our best not to overlap each other.”

“When the members have activity (album, drama), I give a lot of support and promote it a lot. But they don’t do the same to me. Recently When I was having a meal together with Junsu and my company’s staffs told him ’Shouldn’t you evidently help to promote [Jaejoong]?’ The support of the members is really my great source of strength.“

"Jackal is Coming" JYJ's Jaejoong's visits directly for a stage greeting event



JYJ Kim Jae-Joong is having attention with his fan service visiting directly in an event. He is hosting the event of a special stage greeting for love and attention of audiences of the movie ‘Jackal Is Coming’.
The event is being held at Lotte Cinema Geondae-ipgu at 6:30PM on 30th, and going to invite 200 audiences who proved their tickets on weekday of the theater on Facebook of ‘Jackal Is Coming’ with photograph through a drawing.
As showing hot attention for ‘Jackal Is Coming’, many audiences are posting their photographs of the tickets for the event on Facebook of ‘Jackal Is Coming’, which gains more expectations of the audiences for the event and special guests. Recently, JYJ’s Jaejoong had an interview with Kuki News regarding his movie, “Jackal Is Coming,” and mentioned the girl groups that he’s keeping an eye on these days.

He said it’s nearly impossible to keep track of all the idol groups these days with so many groups debuting. But he did mention there are several good ones that have caught his attention.

“Just recently, I was listening to their music by chance and it really caught my ears. I searched for the artist, and it turns out they were Hello Venus. The unique songs from younger idols always stand out,” he said.

“I’m also aware of APink, FIESTAR who worked with Junsu last year for their music video, and AOA,” he added.

Actors Kim Jae-joong, Park Si-hoo and Song Chang-eui as well as actresses Lee Yoon-ji, Kim So-yeon and Lee Chung-ah have proved that black is the best color for winter fashion items.

Top Korean celebrities all picked out black items before hitting the VIP screening of upcoming movie “Watcha Wearing,” held at the CGV movie theater in central Seoul, Korea on November 27.

The romantic comedy’s main roles Ji Sung, Sin So-yool and Kang Gyeong-jun responded with mono-tone outfits while the pic's heroin Kim A-joong highlighted herself with a blue blouse and pink full skirt.

In "Watcha Wearing?,” Ji Sung portrays a man named Hyun-seung who is obsessed about getting back with his ex-girlfriend. Kim plays Yoon-Jung, a woman who tries to get her boyfriend propose to her by using all means.

Hyun-seung and Yoon-jung accidently get to know each other when Yoon-jung presses wrong number to call her boyfriend. Without knowing that it is not her boyfriend that received her phone call, Yoon-jung tries to seduce Hyun-seung through phone sex and their secret adult-only love talk.

The movie, Ji Sung’s new big screen feature in seven years, is set to hit the local movie theaters on December 6.

JYJ's JaeJoong gained popularity and lost innocence after debut



“To be honest, after debut, I’ve gained more than I’ve lost. I’m always thankful towards the fans who love me. However, since I’ve debuted at a very young age, I’ve quickly lost my innocence.”
Member of Hallyu idol group JYJ and actor Kim Jaejoong (26) bared his heart, “I want to search again for the lost innocence.”
“Now that I think back, I should have leaned more on others when I was younger but I couldn’t. When I was 16 years old, I entered the company as a trainee. [At that time] I thought that I had to take care of accommodation or living expenses all by myself, without help from my parents or the company. So I solved the money problems by myself.”
To the question of when he feels depressed the most, Kim Jaejoong said, “Everyone goes through the same periods of adolescent and critical changes. I think that I have also gone through diverse periods as a celebrity in my 20s.” Although he’s an artist that is not only recognized domestically but also internationally, the thing that scares him the most is none other than ‘against himself’.
“After my debut in entertainment world, I became tired of its repetitive life and the self-created turmoil grew bigger. ‘What am I doing now for a living?’ that thought often came to my mind out of the blue. Now that I think back, it seems that I’ve lived well; so I could get rid of all the stress and think a lot about ‘regaining the lost innocence’. Acting came to me as a new challenge, gave me an experience which made my heart beat like new. That’s why I like acting. It’s like my life.”

“You asked what kind of role I want to try in the future? I have experienced comedy this time. Next time, I want to try melo or action. I also want to try something like animation narration. I’m able to modulate my voice and even play a triple role. Ah~ I feel excited just by thinking about it. (Laugh)”

Kim Jae-joong is back on Twitter

JYJ’s Kim Jae-joong has again entered the world of Twitter after deactivating to stop hackers posing as him.

On Sunday, Kim created a new account “bornfreeonekiss” and told fans he was back, just for them.

“There were so many of you who wanted me to start tweeting again,” said Kim. “So to make you happy, I’ve come back. To mark my return I give you ‘Sleeping JJ,’” Kim joked by uploading pictures of himself sleeping on a couch and basking in the sun.

Fans were ecstatic to hear the news and quick to follow the Hallyu idol singer. His band member Kim Jun-su also posted a quick “Yo” on Kim’s update.

Up until Nov. 2, Kim had more than one million followers on Twitter and posted frequent updates and pictures. Then all of a sudden, citing hacking as the reason, he dropped the SNS handle.

Of late, Kim’s been in the spotlight for his movie “Code Name: Jackal” and for finally coming to an agreement with former agency SM Entertainment which debuted Kim and his fellow JYJ members under the boy band TVXQ.

JYJ Kim Junsu made his compliments towards the acting of his member Kim Jaejoong who took on the challenge of movie recently.
On the 29th, Kim Junsu met the reporters at a hotel in Essen, Germany and he said, “After watching ‘Code Name: Jackal’, I was once again shocked by Jaejoong hyung’s acting.”
Kim Jaejoong recently acted with actress Song Ji Hyo in the movie ‘Code Name: Jackal’ and Kim Junsu went to gave his support for his member at the movie premiere. Kim Junsu expressed, “In the beginning when members wanted to act, I find it kind of difficult since it was not something that can be easily conquered just with interest.”, “But after they officially acted, I am so surprised that their acting were so great.”
“Up until now, I have seen many idols challenged on acting and the public were not optimistic about it. Thus I was worried. But our members’ performances were satisfactory. Really grateful for that. Furthermore the filming timing and atmosphere were different between movie and drama. I have watched ‘Code Name: Jackal’ and Jaejoong hyung’s acting is really so good that I was astonished. I know that comedic acting is the most difficult to portray but he did that so well.”
Kim Junsu continued saying, “To us, as there wasn’t much power of choice, thus the situation always hover around choosing one within two to three choices and thus we have to do our very best.”, “To all the members, the pressure to see good results is huge.”

He frankly said, “Every one of us has our own forte, and that is more than enough to me. To be a member of JYJ also makes me proud.”, “Though saying this might be a bit bias, but I think within the idols who are challenging dramas, Jaejoong hyung and Yoochun are the extraordinary ones. It seems that I have no hidden weapons anymore thus to meet such members, it’s really lucky.”

Kim Jaejoong and Park Yoochun would usually give their compliments for Kim Junsu in a jokingly exaggerated way. “However, I am still thankful.” Kim Junsu said, “Be it Yoochun or Jaejoong hyung, as they listened to my album rather than JYJ’s. This made us trust and depend on each other once again. I am really thankful.”
Additionally, Kim Junsu also revealed his passion for musical. Especially for the musical ‘Elisabeth’, which was done before his solo album, it was a solo activity that made Kim Junsu took it out with courage. “When I was acting out in the musical, I was very careful with everything, as though I was walking on a tight rope.”, “I ever thought that if I am unable to do well in this genre, it will not only be a bad influence to myself but also to the members. Thus I rolled up my sleeves and did it.”
“After the lawsuit (with SM Entertainment), we are unable to go to award shows but musical award shows will invite me every year, allowing me a chance to sing on stage. Though my original occupation is a singer but the award that I was unable to receive in the singing industry, I was able to receive it in musical. At the 18th Korean Musical Award, I also received the the male lead award. It seems that I have received this award rather fast. I will have to work with my mightiest ability to present and with good acting to repay everyone.”

JYJ‘s Jaejoong proved his unchanging popularity in Japan.

Jaejoong’s DVD ‘Jaejoong in ‘Protect the Boss’ Special Making‘ ranked 3rd on the Oricon DVD Weekly Chart. The DVDs went on pre-sale back in July, and ranked at #1 for presales on HMV, Amazon, and Rakuten.

The DVD contains various videos from ‘Protect the Boss’, including an in depth look behind the filming set, Jaejoong practicing the script, and the press conference with Jaejoong’s narration.

A representative said, “This result was pleasantly surprising because Jaejoong hasn’t been active in Japan for nearly 3 years, and this is a making DVD rather than a new song or a concert DVD.”
