JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong Holds Nothing Back in ‘The Jackal is Coming’

He has previously demonstrated the lengths he’ll go to for his dramatic acting through such dramas as Time Slip Dr. Jin, but now Kim Jae Joong will look to prove he′s a funny guy.

The production agency behind The Jackal is Coming released new still cuts of the actor in all sorts of embarrassing and humorous scenes as part of his role as Choi Hyun in the upcoming comedy.

In the movie, Choi Hyun is a top star who is kidnapped by the assassin Bong Min Jung (Song Ji Hyo) who has been dispatched to get rid of him.




Having to be tied up for nearly 60 percent of the movie’s shooting, Kim Jae Joong found himself in various humorous positions and scenes.

Looking to prove himself as a comedic actor, Kim Jae Joong brings plenty of laughs as Choi Hyun tries to convince Bong Min Jung he’s an imposter by pretending to sing in a shrill voice and attempting to disguise his infamous abs into a big, bulging belly.

The pictures also show Kim Jae Joong with his hair singed, tied and fallen on the floor and more, piquing fans and viewers′ interests all the more for his comic turn.

Regarding his role, Kim Jae Joong shared, “I wanted to act in a big-effort role and since I was given the opportunity to be a part of such a great production, I had no fears about ruining my image,” showing the singer/actor held nothing back for his role.

The Jackal is Coming premieres in theaters on November 15.

JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong Completely Messed Up His Image in Movie

JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong talks about how it is to juggle both music and acting.

During a photo shoot with fashion magazine, Elle. Kim Jae Joong showed his charisma while traveling around places in India.

He had previously hinted fans that he was in India through his Twitter postings, but never revealed for what purpose until now.



In an interview with the magazine, Kim Jae Joong talked about the difficulty of focusing both on music and acting.

“While I was acting, I continued to write songs and tried to balance out both worlds,” said Kim Jae Joong.

Talking about his character Choi Hyun in his upcoming movie, The Jackal is Coming, Kim Jae Joong said, “As a singer, he actually has a lot in common with me, so I was able to convincing in my acting. I completely destroyed my image that it’ll make you wonder, ‘Wow, to this extent?’”

The Jackal is Coming will premiere on November 15. Kim Jae Joong’s pictorial and interview will be available in the November issue.

***Ye, humiliating and awkward but still attractive regardless. I like it when an actor goes all out. Jaejoong can sing, dance, and act and he's now hilarious, what is there that this man can’t do? No idea... As much as I like the sexy cool and collected Jaejoong, I like seeing his dorky hilarious side. What I know is I'm proud of Jaejoong. Can't wait for the movie to be out! This looks interesting.... It looks like it is going to be a good funny movie to watch. Looking at these photos - it's so not you JJ! He looks such a good-natured-person. ‘Code Name Jackal‘ has released ‘humiliating’ still cuts of JYJ‘s Jaejoong.

In the movie, Jaejoong put himself in numerous awkward situations, pretending to be tone deaf by making his voice scratchy or hiding his six pack by taking a deep breath and flexing his stomach outward.

He was tied up for more than 60% of the time during filming because of his character, but managed to make the entire set laugh anyway with his comedic acting.

Jaejoong said, “I wanted to try a character that wasn’t light at all. I tried my best during filming, so I wasn’t scared at all on doing the humiliating scenes.”

On October 29, portal site Nate did a survey asking, “Who will capture female fans’ hearts in November?”

After the first day, 275 people cast their votes for the survey. Kim ranked first with 92 percent of the votes by beating Song Joong Ki, who appears on KBS’s series Innocent Man and shot the movie A Werewolf Boy.

People responded: “I wonder how he will look in the movie. I can’t wait!” “I saw the movie preview and Kim performed a silly character. I’m expecting to see his different performance.” “Just thinking of him playing the silly character makes me laugh.”

Member of the group “JYJ,” Kim Jae Joong, and actress Kim Ji Won participated in the music video by the new singer Baek Seung Heon. His title song is “Until the Sun Rises,” and the music video is to be released on November 2.

Baek Seung Heon’s debut song is the product of the rookie composer Bumi and Nangi who also composed Huh Gak’s “Only Say That I Want to Die.”  “Until the Sun Rises” tells a story of a man who starts to feel love for a woman. The lyric is written in a sweet way that anyone in love can relate to.

The music video, which includes a kissing scene between Kim Jae Joong and Kim Ji Won, will be released at 12:00PM on November 2.

Kim Jae-joong tantalizes Indonesia

JYJ’s Kim Jae-joong excited Indonesian fans by attending a fan meeting in Jakarta despite a severe cold on Saturday, CJeS Entertainment said yesterday.

Kim, 26, held a fan meet at the Mata Elang International Stadium in the Indonesian capital at 3 p.m. local time on Saturday, the agency of the boy band said. Around 4,000 fans attended the meeting.

The agency said that Kim was suffering from a severe sore throat and a doctor advised him that he needed to rest for several days. So, the agency said it discussed with Kim delaying or canceling the meeting, but Kim insisted on flying to Jakarta for the scheduled fan meet.

During the meet, Kim wrote a letter on the spot and had it read by the moderator of the event, expressing how sorry he was for not being able to perform. In the letter, he said he thought it was necessary to meet the fans “to make a good memory with them from a close distance,” according to the agency.

During the event, Kim shook hands with each of the fans and posed for a group photo, the agency said.

This is the first time I’m having a fan meeting in Indonesia, yet it turns out I will speak not through my voice but through letters. Firstly, with an apologetic heart, I’m not sure what to say..  The day before coming here, I suddenly lost my voice so I was scared and frightened. I was worried about what I should say to everyone…I’m sorry.  I should be talking lots, crying, laughing, and singing for you all.  So…I concluded that I should make great memories with everyone at a closer distance.. I’m not sure if the amount of talking and singing will be lacking, but if you can understand, I will be grateful.. This is a far place that I can’t frequently come to yet so many fans give me and JYJ so much love, and despite me and JYJ not being able to always see it, thank you for giving us your support.  The me who is sitting in this seat right now, I’m a really fortunate guy right?^^  It’s been a while since I’ve written a letter like this..  In this unfortunate event of me losing my voice.. surely, with an apologetic and thankful heart, we must be feeling happy right? For the sake of each other, because we love.  For the precious ‘us’ and me, Kim Jaejoong, I will gain more strength and show everyone a better me in the future.  Furthermore, everyone…I will make everyone laugh more than I have up until now.

JYJ's JaeJoong continues his fanmeeting despite losing his voice & not feeling well

JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong proved his love towards his fans in Jakarta by appearing in his fan meeting that was held in Jakarta on last Saturday. Kim Jaejoong who was not feeling well visited the hospital before he leave for Indonesia. Fans were really worried about Jaejoong’s condition too. However, Jaejoong did not disappoint his fans. He insisted to continue the fan meeting too. Approximately 4000 fans from all around the world including from Malaysia, Korea, Thailand, Bangkok and many more flocked to Jakarta to meet Jaejoong!

During the fan meeting, Jaejoong who lost his voice communicated with his fans through texting. He literally typed on the I-pad provided throughout the fan meeting. Jaejoong also prepared a letter of apology to his fans, which was read out by the emcee. With regret, Jaejoong stated “I am sorry. Eventhough I can’t talk and sing, I think I have to come to see you guys to make memories together. This moment I feel like I am the happiest man in the world. Thank you.” All his fans that present immediately chanted “Gwaenchana (it’s okay)” to show their love towards Jaejoong.

In his fan meeting, a few scenes from Dr.Jackal, Dr.Jin and Protect the Boss were previewed. Jaejoong was asked a few questions, such as did he ever involve in triangle love (via Protect the Boss scene) and Jaejoong admitted he did. Besides, Jaejoong also mentioned that he was afraid of his dad when he was a child because his dad was really strict back then but they are more like a best friend now. Knowing that Jaejoong couldn’t sing, the emcee asked the fans to sing along when Dr.Jin’s OST – Living Like a Dream was played.

The fan meeting was ended by group photosession (40 in a group) and a high-5 session which was requested by the idol himself. He wants to give his fans unforgettable moment as he did not manage to sing. Jaejoong seemed to be quite tired in the middle of the session (due to his health condition) continued to take photos and high-5 with each of every of his fans in the venue. Fans felt extremely grateful as the idol did his really best to leave footprint on his fans’ hearts.

It wasn’t a beautiful woman nor the most cheerful and supportive fans of JYJ Jaejoong that took his heart away during his first fanmeeting last weekend  (3/11) in Jakarta, Indonesia. So who really stole his heart away?

With the rare close encounter opportunity as a surprise, thousands of fans were even more excited and overwhelmed, racking their brains on what to say or do in front of the ‘Ice Prince’.  In their attempt to attract attention, fans were whispering in his ears and sneaky hands were sighted during the photo-taking session though instructions were clearly; no touching. Sadly none of it worked as the ‘Ice Price’ gave equal attention to every fan in the very brief moment they each had. However, one fan succeeded by not only in attracting his attention, but making him cross the boundaries of no physical contact by just simply being herself.  The two adorable children were sitting quietly next to his seat while waiting for his arrival, a stark difference to the many fans clamoring over the man. JaeJoong’s sole attention was immediately fixated from the moment he laid eyes on them, much to the envy of the fans around. He initiated contact by shaping her tiny fingers to a cute ‘tweeze’ sign and smiled radiantly, something which is hardly seen throughout the fan-meet due to his condition.  It was literally “ignorance is bliss” and it definitely added on to the many reasons for the ladies to want to return to that age of innocence. It was no doubt that behind his piercing stare and princely image was this warm guy, overflowing with love for children. From the previous photoshoot collaborations campaign with children for NII, to how he paid more attention to children attending his fan-meet, it was evident how good a daddy he will be in future. So ladies, if having Mr. Kim pay more attention to you is your life mission, next time bring a kid along or go back to being one if you can, will definitely get the job done! Now isn’t the girl lucky?

A new trailer for Song Ji Hyo and JYJ Kim Jae Joong’s upcoming comedy action movie, The Jackal is Coming, has been released.





The character B-cut trailer for the movie gives another look at the main characters of the movie and previews some of its funniest scenes, including one of Song Ji Hyo, who menacingly twirls a knife in her hand in front of Kim Jae Joong only to drop it mere inches from his intimate parts, Oh Dal Soo mysteriously tied (and whipped) in bed and Song Ji Hyo getting a hard slap in the face by Kim Sung Ryeong.

Actress Song Ji-hyo's plan to kidnap idol star Kim Jae-joong is gaining some international attention even before its release in local theaters next week.

"The Jackal is Coming" has been sold to six Asian countries, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei, according to the film's distributor Lotte Entertainment.

"Song's new project is especially attracting more attention because he is one of the hottest Korean pop stars in Japan. The fact that he's laying a solid foundation in his acting career, both in Japan and Korea, contributes to his film's popularity as well," an official from the film's Japanese distributor said in Lotte's statement.

Song and Kim's comedy kidnap movie goes around a story of a mysterious female killer kidnapping a top idol star. She comes up with different methods to murder the celebrity.

Kim's screen debut film will open in Korea on November 15.
