I kinda hoped that Jang Hyuk or Lee Da Hae would be nominated for Robbers.. Ratings were dismal for that drama, but the itwas definitely a gem amongst the others. I guess SBS just had too many great dramas this year..

you know i never noticed untill now but all the various network stations each have their own award show... i was wondering is there any third party award shows in korea?? i've never really looked into award shows before but i mean.. it all seems pointless to me. they just award the biggest stars in the biggest shows they had in a year...

I’m thrilled with the final list of the nominees. For my choice …I pick “Kim Rae Won” for the “Best Actor” from “Gourmet” After receiving the Acting Excellence at the 2008 Korea Drama Awards (Anyway I really hope he will win the Daesang too) Kim Rae Won Fighting!!

The official nomination list will be announced on the 20th.

i was wondering is there any third party award shows in korea??

There are several award shows:

BaekSang Arts Awards (44th BaekSang was held in April '08)

Korean Broadcasting Awards (in its 35th year)

Producers Award Of Korea (20th PAoK was held in Feb or March '08)

Korea Drama Festival (3rd KDF was held in November '08)

....

he really did his best in Iljimae~~ and Iljimae is really a great drama!!

he even acted - continue to make the drama even though the time he's really sick/not feeling well..

Not really into SBS drama but for my choice will be,

Illjimae! That drama is truly great esp my precious hubby Lee Junki is in it!!

but still, the drama is not dissapointed at all!!

I watched till the end~

so, I was hoping that Junki can win Grand Prize award!!

But looks like he does have really tough fight from other nominees!!

for the female actress, Kim Haneul can win it!!

i thought nominations would be out by today? still no list? :)

The Korean papers (quoting SBS source) mentioned that the list will be out on the 20th, I don't know why it's not. I guess we'll just have to keep on checking the news, might have to wait til next Monday (Korean time). I don't think they will release any list during the weekend...

Most people predict LJK and I agree with you all!!

Junki is the best!!

But I think the others not bad too!!

I loved Gourmet, On Air, Painter Of The Wind!!

Illjimae is the best for me for win lots of award!!

LJK definitely one of my fav so I'm just focused on him only!!

for popularity couple truly goes to LJK & HJH!!!

right now, I'm waitin for nominations & list of performace & the stars that would be there on that night!!!

Who will win the ‘2008 SBS Grand Acting Award’?

The following 31st, that ‘2008 SBS Grand Acting Award’ will take place in Seoul Deung-Chon-dong SBS Hall. As the grand prize award, the nominees are Song Yoon Ah, Lee Jun Ki, Kim Ha Neul, Oh Hyun Kyung, Mun Geun Young.

According the affiliates of SBS Drama on the 15th, “Song Yoon Ah, Lee Jun Ki, Kim Ha Neul, Oh Hyun Kyung, and Mun Geun Young will compete for the Grand Acting Award”.

In terms of the drama, Song Yoon Ah and Kim Ha Neul from ‘On Air’ will compete, Lee Jun Ki from ‘Iljimae’, Mun Geun Young from ‘Painter of the Wind’. Especially, Oh Hyun Kyung was selected as a nominee from ‘Wife Club’ which was a comeback drama after 10 years of resting.

After the Grand Acting Award, the Best Acting Award will include these 5 nominees and 4 other actors and actresses. The nominees for the Best Acting Award are not yet finalized.

Along with this, the Acting Award is planning to be divided into miniseries and drama awards.

The male nominees for the miniseries Acting Award are Kim Rae Won, Jang Hyuk, Kim Min Joon, Kim Joo Hyuk, Park Yong Ha, Lee Sun Gyoon. The female nominees are Han Ye Seul, Nam Sang Mi, Choi Kang Hee, Lee Young Ah, Yeom Jung Ah, and Lee Da Hae.

The nominees for the drama awards are Ahn Nae Sang, Park Shi Hoo, Lee Hoon, Lee Jin Wook, Oh Hyun Kyung, Kim Hae Sun, Kim Hye Sook, Yoon Soi, Kim Hyo Jin, and Yoon Jung Hee.

This year’s ‘2008 SBS Grand Acting Award’ is planned with a lot of variety of things to see. The affiliates said ‘The actors/actresses are working hard to prepare for the performances in this event” and added “This year was hard in every way so instead of a flashy event, we’re planning to make a heart-warming stage”.
