Wonder Girls and Patissiers

Summary

Wonder Girls will be participating in a patissier (pastry cook) survival program called “Wonder Bakery”.

The show will see the five members paired up with those who dream to become a patissier. Each week, one member will be paired with one pastry cook to make a cake that match the mission given. During the judgement period, one cook will be eliminated and a new challenger will enter the program in his/her place. They will keep competing in teams of five until the final mission. There will be a total of eight missions.

The best patissier will receive a prize of 10,000,000 won.

“The Wonder Girls came into this expressing that they wanted to give something to back for all the big love they received up til now,” shared PD Kwon YoungChan.

The program is about helping these aspiring patissiers to reach their dream. The first broadcast will be aired Nov. 5 on cable channel Mnet at 6:30 PM.

Pastry Education 101!

Sunmi's making a type of French Cake called Fraisier, basically a sponge cake with cream(sometimes mousseline, but is normally Chantilly whipping cream(sweetened whipping cream with sugar and vanilla) depending on the chef)

and strawberries. she's spreading the whipping cream on top so that her patissier partner can roll the marzipan on top.

as for the rest i'm not too sure what are they making... sohee seems to be decorating a sable cookie, sunye?? yoobin stirring some kind of sponge/custard batter, yeeun... maybe macerating/flambeing the strawberries since it's in a pan... I see lots of cream and such probably not all know how to bake that's why the patissier partners let them do the easier jobs well, being serious learners that they are, I'm sure they'll learn pastry-making pretty soon!!

I'll post a recipe scan with step by steps if people want it
