Kangin was on a class field trip goofing off with his friends when an SM scout spotted him. He entered the 2002 SM Best Youth Contest (청소년 베스트 선발대회) and won first place for Best Outward Appearance. Soon afterwards he made a brief cameo appearance in the SBS drama, A Man And A Woman in May 2002. He made his debut as a panelist on SBS "One Night's TV Entertainment (한밤의 TV연예)" in 2004. His stage name Kangin (강인) means "strong and compassionate person" and comes from the fact that he is known for his physical strength.

What's up with Kkang wearing shirts that have little chickens on it? Cute though <3. And supposedly, his role in the movie is a younger guy who falls in love with a noona LOL.

KangIn’s movie “Romantic Comic” to be released in Korean Cinemas

Having absolutely no plans, no experience, no courage and no schemes before love, 4 men and women create a special romance “Romantic Comic”.

Spinning off a wildly popular online comic series with 60,000,000 hits, the movie will star Yoo Ji-Tae, Lee Yeon-Hee, Chae Jung-Ahn and KangIn (Kim Young-Woon).

The last day of filming was on the 9th last month and the scene was about the 4 leads meeting in an office. Yoo Ji-Tae and Lee Yeon-hee who reached the set first greeted each other and Kang-In who finally arrived created waves of laughter on the set, setting the atmosphere for the filming. KangIn stars as a high school student with no ideas on romance falling in a one-sided love relationship. He expressed that “it’s a pity i couldn’t take out more time for the filming, it would be great to await the film just as you await the first snow of autumn this year.”

The movie will be slated for release on 27th November at all cinemas in South Korea.

I really hope his movie does well. He's always said he wanted to do more acting. :]

I read a fan account of him in Xanadu, and it sounds like he's doing great! XD I really wish I could go see him, but then I don't know if my heart could take it. ♥

^ you don't have to be in Korea to watch his movie. I'm sure the movie would be online soon after the movie is released in Korea, but if you want to support Kangin's acting, then you should buy the movie when it comes out on DVD.

Kangin will be in a new Mnet show called "Band of Brothers" along with his group member Heechul and other 2 artists. The show is basically about the four of them forming a band that perform songs in tribute to world-class pop bands like the Beattles, the Queen, Abba, the Green Day, etc. The main purpose of the show is to bring back the forgotten past to the older generation and to introduce the legendary music to the young ones. The first broadcast is on October 25 at 11pm.
