Homemade Facial Scrub Instead of Soap
This is for the lady who wanted a homemade facial mask. First, clean your face with water only. Never use soap. You can open your pores with hot compresses (washcloth) For a facial scrub, moisten oatmeal to a "goo", use it to scrub your face (not around your eyes). Wash off with cool water. You may also make a paste of the oatmeal and allow it to dry..remove with cool water. You may also beat an egg white, put it on your face and let it dry, rinse with cool water. Sliced fresh cucumber placed on your closed eyes will reduce bagginess and dark circles. To make your hair shine, rub in some regular mayonnaise, shampoo out after 15 minutes.
Honey for Best Facial
The best facial mask that i have found is honey. Use warm cloth to open pores, smear on honey, leave on 15 to 30 minutes, rinse off with warm water, and then use cold water to close pores. Use for 3 days in a row and then once a week. Sometimes mix a little gound oatmeal with the honey, which makes a great mask.
Exfoliating Mask
For an easy exfoliating mask, mix three tablespoons olive oil or any good oil and one tablespoon kosher salt mix and gently rub into dry skin. Do not use around eye area. This works great on elbows and feet, but it can also be used on cheeks and forehead
Egg Whites
use egg whites. Just beat one egg white until it is frothy. Spread it all over your face. Wait until it dries. Rinse it off. My face feels very clean and "tight" after this application. DS
Egg Yolk
The best homemade facial mask is a raw egg yolk. just apply the raw yolk to your face and neck for 30 minutes and rinse with cool water. Egg yolks are high in vitamin A. The mask is very effective in healing blemishes.
Match Mask to Your Skin Type
For trouble-prone skin, mix oatmeal with water to form a paste. For normal to oily skin, use an egg white. For dry skin, use an egg yolk. In all cases, spread mixture on face and allow to dry. Rinse thoroughly with cool water. For oily skin, witch hazel makes an inexpensive toner. For dry skin, you may want to add moisturizer while skin is still damp.
Oatmeal
The cheapest and best facial mask is oatmeal processed to a powder in the blender and either skim milk or if you are trying to fade spots lemon juice.
More Facial Mask Choices
The kind of the mask you want to use depends on your skin type. For dry skin, try: an egg yolk mixed with olive oil and warmed honey sour cream plain olive oil avocado For oily skin: dissolve a teaspoon of baking yeast in a small amount of warm milk, wait until foamy, then apply (best done in the bath tub); puree flesh of a tomato and mix with some potato flour to make a paste; cucumber (it will whiten your skin); beaten egg whites with a few drops of lemon juice (great for getting rid of blackheads); carrots (but don't use this one more than about every other week because it can overdry your skin). This one will make you look tanned. General refreshing masks:
Egg Yolk and Honey
Just mix one egg yolk with a little honey and spread it on your face and neck. When it dries, rinse it off. Your skin will feel so fresh and soft!

Homemade Face Mask for Oily Skin
The juices in strawberries & lemon contain natural astringents. 1 tsp lemon juice (have a real lemon? Include a teaspoon of the lemon pulp) 2 egg white 2 tsp honey 1 cup strawberries 4 drops eucalyptus oil or jojoba oil (optional) Blend the above ingredients, apply and leave on for10 minutes. Rinse. Recipe works for 2 people, so invite a friend, or cut recipe in half for just you.
Homemade Clay Mask for Normal Skin
Clay masks are hydrating while toning your skin. You can pick up clay from any health-food store. A basic fuller's earth clay (if skin is sensitive, try a green clay) 1 tsp honey water (for a richer mask, substitute whole milk) your favorite essential oil (lavender, rose, geranium) Mix 2 parts water to 1 part clay, mixing in a bit of honey. Add more water if clay is too dry. Add a few drops of the oil. Keep mask on for 15 minutes. Rinse off with a warm washcloth.
Homemade Face Mask for Dry Skin
Avocados and honey are particularly moisturizing. ½ avocado (you can also substitute 2 teaspoons avocado oil) ¼ cup honey Mash these together. Apply to skin and leave for 5-10 minutes. Rinse with a washcloth drenched in cool water.
Homemade Face Mask for Combination Skin
A rose-based mask is perfect for balancing out the oily and dry areas of your skin. 6 rose petals 2 tbsps rosewater 1 tbsp natural yogurt (go for full-fat & skip the flavored ones) 1 tbsp naturally runny honey (you can warm honey in a microwave for 8 seconds to get it runny. Plus, we find the warmth is particularly soothing for this mask). Soak rose petals, then crush them in a bowl. Add the rosewater, yogurt and honey. Don't have the rose petals? No problem. Mix well & apply to the skin. Leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse.
Homemade Face Mask for Sensitive Skin
This soothing mask is great for chapped, sunburned or irritated skin. 1 cup natural yogurt (we like it just-out-of-the-fridge cold) ½ cup oatmeal (any type of basic oatmeal works here) Mix the ingredients together & apply to the skin for 15 minutes. Wash off mask with a warm washcloth. Extra tip: This mask works well for other skin types as well. For oily skin, add a couple drops of lime juice. For dry skin, mix in a couple tablespoons of honey.
Homemade Face Mask for Aging Skin
See ‘Is Your Skin Prematurely Aging’ to find out if your skin fits this category. This mask works well for maturing skin, since sugar is a natural exfoliant and will help soften the lines your skin creates as it ages. 3 tbsp sugar 4 tbsp warm water Melt sugar in warm water. Make sure granules are dissolved, otherwise they may tear your skin. Apply to the face and leave for 5 minutes. Gently massage around the skin. Rinse.

I'm gonna try some of them

But the garlic mask sounds like it'll burn like crazy O_O;

Yeah it DOES sound painful.

Skin Exfoliator:

************

Massage handfuls of Epsom Salt over your wet skin, (you can add some baby oil)starting with your feet and continuing up towards the face. Have a bath to rinse

1 tbs gram flour

1 tbs orange peel powder

1 tbs yougart

1 tsp lemon juice

Mix all the ingredients well, make a paste and apply over face and body..you skin will glow!

Citrus and grapefruit mask for oily skin type:

Ingredients:

½ grapefruit

½ lemon's juice

½ cored apple

1-2 egg whites

30-40 seedless grapes

Mix ingredients together in a blender. Apply on your face and leave for fifteen minutes, then rinse off with warm water.

Grapefruit unclogs pores and lemon is an excellent astringent and clarifier, while egg whites tighten the skin. Expect a tingle with this mask-that means its working but if your skin is dry it could start to burn. If this occurs, wash it off immediately.
