hi! i really need help. i have been experiencing problems with my laptop, its just turn off by itself without me doing anything about it

or any power saving device for that matter. so everytime it happens which is once in a while i just turn it off, then it turns okay.

but just today it has turn off three times after i have turn it on again. but after it switch off by itself, it just turns on and appears saying that windows was not able to start automatically and it says something about updates if im not mistaken and it says windows start normally. what does it mean? i am confused myself with the problem. please, please help.

thanks in advance.

Scan with an antivirus... it might be like.. the Blaster Worm virus that was fixed ages ago.. Those viruses would cause windows to shutdown but that one would do it after 45 seconds. Yours sounds more random but still worth scanning.

are you using a toshiba?

i had the same problem a couple months ago, my toshiba would just suddenly turn off by itself with no warning.

i think it was a heating issue, i fixed it by lowing the performance/power requirements. now it uses less power and doesn't turn off by itself.

edit: it's a common problem with toshiba laptops.

toshiba shutdown problem

also, blow out all the dust with compress air should help a lot too.
