***  Episode 9 hints at Oh Soo Jung's family, specifically her grandfather…might be Tess.

Finally, after the long wait, Dr. Jang Se Jin saw a slight hope in Cha Young Min's status after his brain showed signs of improvement, which he called the "happy hormone." Upon knowing this, Go Seung Tak jumped for knowing that his senior might possibly wake up from a coma.

Ahn Tae Hyun spilled the details regarding his hunch about the thoracic surgeon and Go Seung Tak. He is eager to prove his claims, suggesting that he observe Go Seung Tak's surgery. He mentioned what Cha Young Min used to do in the surgery, like how he did his hand exercise before the operation and how he wrapped up every surgery. This, Han Seung Won was surprised to witness Dr. Cha's trait in Go Seung Tak.   :sweet:

Watch: “Ghost Doctor” Cast Are Full Of Giggles In Special Lunar New Year Blooper Reel

dummy.jpeg?s=900x600&e=t

For Lunar New Year, “Ghost Doctor” has released a special video featuring unreleased behind-the-scenes clips from episodes 1-8!

Helmed by “Heirs” director Boo Sung Chul, tvN’s “Ghost Doctor” is a fantasy medical drama about two doctors who could not be more different in terms of their backgrounds, skills, or personalities, but who end up combining bodies and spirits. Rain stars as genius thoracic surgeon Cha Young Min, while Kim Bum plays silver-spoon resident Go Seung Tak.

The video begins with Rain offering ideas to elevate an otherwise mundane scene. Later, he films his car accident scene and the clip shows Rain acting as staff members pull on the car, but he impressively does not stop even when the car stops moving.

During a scene with Kim Bum, a staff member jokes that Go Seung Tak has a lot of lines with filler words because he’s always angry. Kim Bum then showcases his professionalism as he flawlessly recites his long lines, earning praise from Rain. Kim Bum shyly explains, “It’s just until here. The next scenes, really… [I haven’t memorized].”

Next, the video shows the unique ways the actors had to accommodate for the fantasy aspects of the drama. During a tense scene between Go Seung Tak and Han Seung Won (Tae In Ho), ghost Cha Young Min is angrily yelling from the side, but Tae In Ho must not acknowledge Rain. Once the take ends, the two laugh about how hard it is to ignore the actor. Rain adds, “Uee always does this,” and hilariously imitates the way she looks at him out of the corner of her eye.

The portion after features the cast’s funny bloopers, which include them messing up their introductions, forgetting and skipping their lines, missing their timing and more.

Catch all the cast’s bloopers and cute antics in the full clip below!

tvN’s “Ghost Doctor” airs on Mondays and Tuesdays at 10:30 p.m. KST.

*** Rain has taken Uee on an unusual date on last night's episode of “Ghost Doctor”! At the end of the previous episode of the drama, Han Seung Won (played by Tae In Ho) accused Cha Young Min of having possessed Go Seung Tak’s body after watching his cousin carry out a surgery. In the released stills from the drama’s last nigh episode, it appears that Cha Young Min will be temporarily putting his battle with Han Seung Won aside in order to focus on something more important: his romance with his ex-girlfriend Jang Se Jin (played by Uee). Although Go Seung Tak is the one holding the tickets to Jessica (EXID’s Hani)’s concert, the photos show Cha Young Min sitting next to Jang Se Jin at the actual show. Also, sharing MORE stills from the episode. Go Seung Tak’s double life, which is constantly at risk of being found out, will add to the fun of the story. ‘Ghost Doctor’ upcoming episodes will be full of even more entertaining incidents.   :kaching1:

*** Biased aside, all scenes of "Ghost Doctor" are interesting. It appears the domestic viewers feel the same as well. Through Episode 8 from the pilot EP, it's gone up nearly 2% to hit 6.5%. The feedback on the drama is that it's interesting, with the body sharing twist and the bromance chemistry between RAIN & Kim Bum. The slowly increasing ratings definitely show the underlying quality. Most of all, the characters are endearing. It's not exactly groundbreaking but it's very entertaining to watch. It's an enjoyable show. Love the story line. For medical aspects, I can safely say

they're so minimal. I'm glad about the ratings that this drama gets.     :shaq:

*** In episode 10 of "Ghost Doctor", the people around the Eunsang University Medical Center discover Kim Bum and Rain's secret. February 1 episode was filled with lots of revelations about them.  Out of desperation and anger, Cha Young Min admitted that he is alive and is using Go Seung Tak's body to treat patients. I love episode 10 since it featured a heartfelt scene with Dr. Jang Se Jin and Cha Young Min, who are in Go Seung Tak's body. It came after Dr. Go invited Dr. Jang to Jessica's concert. Jessica used to be one of Dr. Cha's patients during his earlier years as a doctor.  Jang Se Jin finds Go Seung Tak's behavior slightly strange as he possesses some of the traits of Dr. Cha.  It came after Dr. Jang asked him why he chose to be a thoracic surgeon; she was stunned by his answer after hearing that he promised the women he loved that he would become the best thoracic surgeon while she was a neurosurgeon.  :Fist1:

3 Of The Best Bromance Moments Between Rain And Kim Bum In “Ghost Doctor”

dummy.jpeg?s=900x600&e=t

Every episode of “Ghost Doctor” has shown to highlight the incredible bromance between Rain and Kim Bum!

tvN’s “Ghost Doctor” is a fantasy medical drama about two doctors who could not be more different in terms of their backgrounds, skills, or personalities, but who end up combining bodies and spirits. Rain stars as genius thoracic surgeon Cha Young Min, while Kim Bum plays silver-spoon resident Go Seung Tak.

Due to their clashing personalities, it initially appears as though the two will never get close. However, a mysterious car accident leaves Cha Young Min’s soul in Go Seung Tak’s body, forcing the pair to become friends. To adapt to their inevitable circumstances, Cha Young Min and Go Seung Tak work together to save patients’ lives and slowly learn more about each other in the process. Here are three of the best moments that capture Cha Young Min and Go Seung Tak’s bromance!

Spoiler

1. When they lay out the conditions of combining spirits

When Cha Young Min and Go Seung Tak are each earnestly asked by the motorcyclist (Lee Kyu Hyun) and patient Oh Seung Jo (Lee Chun Moo) to save their lives, they realize they need to cooperate with each other. During this disagreement, the two bicker back and forth, laying out the conditions of combining spirits.

However, on the day of the surgery, Cha Young Min is unable to go past a certain boundary and thus cannot enter the operating room. Go Seung Tak nervously waits for him, trying desperately to buy some time. After various ups and downs, the two are finally able to combine spirits and successfully finish the surgery. Once their hard work is done, the two lay side by side, smiling, warming the hearts of viewers.

2. Reconditioning until they become the perfect team

When Go Seung Tak learns that Cha Young Min’s life will be in danger if he continues inhabiting his body, he decides to keep his distance. To fix this, Cha Young Min confesses a secret from his intern days, which makes Go Seung Tak agree to combine spirits once again, much to the excitement of viewers.

Additionally, Cha Young Min learns that his happy hormones from saving a patient stimulate his brain waves so he joins hands with Go Seung Tak on a mission to gather them. They also work together to look after patients and take care of the ghosts to fulfill the final request of chairman Jang Gwang Deok (Lee Moon Soo). Now that the duo make a perfect team, they use their incredible chemistry to busily look after both their human and ghost patients.

3. Their dangerous coalescence – what will happen in the future?

Although it looked as if things were going smoothly, Cha Young Min and Go Seung Tak are found out by Han Seung Won (Tae In Ho), Ahn Tae Hyun (Go Sang Ho), and Sung Mi Ran (Yoon Da Kyung). Things particularly get out of hand when Cha Young Min is speaking to Han Seung Won as Go Seung Tak. Han Seung Won’s sarcastic attitude puts Cha Young Min in a rage, eventually making him accidentally reveal his true identity.

Since he’ll be in an iffy situation once Cha Young Min wakes up, Han Seung Won puts all his effort into interrupting Cha Young Min and Go Seung Tak’s cooperation. To make matters worse, Oh Seung Jo faints suddenly and must undergo another surgery, but Cha Young Min and Go Seung Tak are able to work together and fool Han Seung Won. However, during the surgery, the silhouettes of Cha Young Min and Go Seung Tak continue to overlap, potentially teasing something unusual happening to them.

“Ghost Doctor” airs on Mondays and Tuesdays at 10:30 p.m. KST.

*** “Ghost Doctor” revealed new stills of Rain and Kim Bum ahead of the upcoming episode! Previously, Cha Young Min and Go Seung Tak experienced difficulties in their surgeries. In the new stills, Go Seung Tak has a bright smile plastered on his face, while Cha Young Min seems teary-eyed as he hugs the patient Oh Seung Jo (Lee Chun Moo) in his arms. Go Seung Tak stands next to Tes (Sung Dong Il) in another still, wearing a mixed expression as he senses Cha Young Min’s sorrow. This episode of the drama will air on February 7 tomorrow at 10:30 p.m. KST.

*** Sometimes a show needs is enough of a story to fuel a fun concept. This is exactly the balance that "Ghost Doctor" strives for. Young-min and Seung-tak learn to set their differences aside and work together, so that Young-min’s “golden hands” can be put to use in the operating room to save lives. Seung-tak even starts to wear a Bluetooth earpiece to pretend that his frequent hallway conversations are actually phone calls. The drama maintains a very simple foundation.  Kwang-deok’s graceful exit from the show is an emotional highlight.  Seung-tak and Young-min soon discover that their secret friendship isn’t quite as well hidden as they had thought. In fact, a lot of people seem to suspect that Seung-tak is being possessed by Young-min. His sudden surgical know-how could certainly raise suspicions. Hopefully, the show will deliver a few more smooth emotional beats before it concludes later this month.

"Ghost Doctor" is streaming on Viu.  :7555_attack:

*** In their recent broadcast appearance, Lee Hyori and Rain revealed that they could have ended up dating in the past! This was on the first episode of Rain and Noh Hong Chul's new Netflix series called "The Hungry and the Hairy," which premiered back on December 11. The episode featured the two hosts visiting former FIN.K.L member Lee Hyori and her husband, musician Lee Sang Soon's home located in Jeju Island. During this episode, they can be seen having dinner together, while drinking some of Jeju Island's makgeolli (Korean rice wine) and talking about different topics. During this time, Hyori mentioned how Rain drinks a lot now, while he didn't drink at all in the past. To this, Rain said, "Ah, I did like drinking. But I just chose not to drink back then."  She revealed that she and Rain used to meet up for practices often in the past. "Back then, we used to meet up to practice for a performance quite often, but we never went drinking together. If we had drinks together at that time, we might have ended up dating each other," she said.  Rain laughed and agreed, saying, "Exactly. We probably would have dated. We can now hang out with one another comfortably because we didn't drink together in the past."   :Megalol:

*** It has been a roller coaster ride of emotion on "Ghost Doctor's episode. Previously on the drama, Oh Soo Jung (Son Naeun) became jealous of Go Seung Tak’s clearly visible devotion to Jang Se Jin (Uee). The latter keeps her distance from Go Seung Tak due to the fact that he is reminding her of Cha Young Min. At the end of the previous episode, Go Seung Tak shocked both Jang Se Jin and Cha Young Min by telling her the truth. Now that she knows their secret, Cha Young Min is finally able to talk to her as his own self. There's also a  still that shows Jang Se Jin unconscious in the emergency room after being rushed in the middle of the night.    :twerk2:
