20-episode drama to debut in Dec 2008. Filming starts Sept.

Joint Japanese and Korean production. Love story set in Osaka and Nara, Japan.

i was about to start this thread...but sources from Ji Woo official website had stated that she had chosen to not participate is this project.... i hope it's not true since i really want her to be in a new series. so as of right now...there are no confirmed cast.... Go Soo who is originally attached as the male lead has not confirmed also.

I received some questions from a lot of fans about the article

which made the Sport Korea today.

I tell you the information that I talked with Jiwoo's manager on the phone.

The article about "Lovers in Asuka" was not announced officially

by the management Co of Jiwoo.

It seems to be the article which was written under some articles

which were appearing the other day, without confirm.

He said that they haven't chosen one from among many works which she consider, yet.

The all false reports have been corrected by her management Co.

He said that please tell fans...I'm sorry that we can't tell you a good news soon

because we choose very carefully and please take care in this hot and humid.

I hope they tell us a good news soon.

Please support Jiwoo and all staff who have trouble for her next work

in this hot and humid weather.

Choi Ji-woo to Star in Korea-Japan Co-Production

Choi Ji-woo

Korea’s pan-Asian star Choi Ji-woo has been cast in a melodrama to be jointly produced by Korea and Japan. Set in Nara Prefecture in Japan’s Kansai region, “Lovers in Asuka” is aimed at revitalizing the Korean Wave or Korean pop culture craze once again. The producers wanted to cast a top actress for the heroine and finally alighted on Choi. Shooting will start in early September for airing in December.

A spokesman for Choi said the actress is devoting herself to get ready for the shooting of the drama without making any other schedules. Korean and Japanese production, broadcasting and marketing companies have joined hands for content creation, investment, production, broadcasting and distribution for the 20-episode drama.

Korea’s Olive9 will be responsible for production and Japan’s Dentsu Group for investment attraction and distribution. Nara Prefecture and Osaka University of Art have already formed a production support group for the drama and are working to come up with plans to provide systematic support.

is this drama the continuation of the Lovers series? i thought the series ended at 3... or is it just pure coincidence that the title sound the same?

a while back, i read that choi ji woo and ji sung were confirmed to act in this drama.

anyway, i can't wait!

Till now Jiwoo still not confirm any drama that has the news before either Loves in Asuka ( JW-KS ) or Hidden ( JW- JS ) now is a waiting period for all fans. She is looking for good script.

i cant wait for more news and pics as well. its a relief to know that there has finally been some kind of update.

i thought she was confirmed as well.....i guess we'll know for sure soon.

for the male lead im really curious who they'll pick. lol i wouldnt mind it at all if they consider Takenouchi Yutaka or Kimura Takuya ^^

confuse... i thought Ji Woo already choose to act in Hidden..

I am confused too... at first, she and Ko Soo were said to be both male and female leads, and then CJW got offered for Hidden with Ji Sung, and Ko Soo is still confirmed for LIA but without a female lead... I am really confused now and going paranoid by all these updates.

I hope someone can clarify exactly what is going on here so I can be fully prepared for hearing this... going crazy :crazy:

both production Hidden and Lovers in Aska are Korean-Japanese production.

No way! Another addition to the Lovers series?! I loved all three but I kinda wish it wasn't in Japan, LOL. It'd be cool to see them in North America.

I hope this is just as good as the previous ones.
