f(x)’s Krystal cheered on Kang Ji Young’s first appearance in a Korean drama!

On March 26, the former KARA member shared a photo of a coffee truck sent to the set of upcoming Channel A drama “Late Night Snack Man and Woman” (literal title).

Kang Ji Young wrote, “Please look forward to ‘Late Night Snack Man and Woman.” Thank you so much Soo Jung (Krystal’s real name) for the coffee truck.”

The banner to the left said, “Good luck to Ji Young and all of the actors and staff of ‘Late Night Snack Man and Woman’! From Krystal.”

Kang Ji Young also shared more photos on Instagram Stories. She posted close-up photos of the banners to the left and on top of the truck as well as the cup sleeve that had the same supportive message from Krystal. She added, “Thank you Soo Jung,” “I’m going to brag a little,” and “I feel awkward because it’s my first time.”

“Late Night Snack Man and Woman” is a romantic comedy about a love triangle between a man and woman fighting over the same man. Kang Ji Young and Jung Il Woo have been confirmed as the leads.

Former KARA Member Kang Jiyoung Injured In Car Crash Caused By Drunk Driver

She was injured by a drunk driver.

Former KARA member Kang Jiyoung sustained injuries in a car accident caused by a drunk driver on April 1.

According to an exclusive report from Ilgan Sports, Kang Jiyoung was injured after being the victim of a car accident caused by a drunk driver on the night of April 1. She was returning home from filming her Korean comeback drama Late Night Snack Man and Woman.

The driver who caused the accident violated a traffic signal while driving drunk, and crashed into the car that Kang Jiyoung and her staff members were in. The accident left her with minor injuries. She is out of the hospital, but she still is required to receive outpatient treatment. Due to her injuries, it will be difficult for her to return to filming for her drama for the time being.

Her Korean agency, KeyEast, confirmed the news of the car accident.

It is true Kang Jiyoung was in a car accident. The perpetrator was under the influence of alcohol. For the near future, we will be visiting the hospital and watching her health and condition before returning to the filming location.

Kang Jiyoung has been promoting in Japan ever since KARA disbanded, and chose Late Night Snack Man and Woman as her comeback Korean work. The drama is a romantic comedy involving a love triangle, and also starts Jung Il Woo and Lee Hak Joo. The broadcast date has not been finalized yet.

Watch: Jung Il Woo + Former KARA Member Kang Ji Young Bicker Adorably Behind The Scenes Of “Sweet Munchies” Poster Shoot

JTBC’s upcoming drama “Sweet Munchies” has shared new behind-the-scenes footage of its poster shoot!

“Sweet Munchies” is a new romantic comedy about a love triangle in which a man and woman fight over the same man. Jung Il Woo will be starring as celebrity chef Park Jin Sung, while former KARA member Kang Ji Young will be starring as variety show producing director (PD) Kim Ah Jin. “The World of the Married” star Lee Hak Joo will also be appearing in the drama as Kang Tae Wan, a successful designer.

The newly released clip begins with Jung Il Woo introducing his character, describing Park Jin Sung as a “healing chef who can even cook up feelings for other people’s hearts.” He goes on to explain, “[In the drama], I run a bistro, and my character will embark on a sweet romance with leading lady Kang Ji Young while hiding an extraordinary secret together.”

Kang Ji Young introduces her character Kim Ah Jin as “fierily passionate” and an “eccentric, unpredictable career woman.” While describing his own character, Lee Hak Joo remarks, “Although he succeeded at a young age as a designer and, on the outside, seems perfect to other people, Kang Tae Won has his own pain and sadness deep inside that no one knows about, because he actively hides it from other people.”

As the video shows footage of the three stars posing together during the shoot, Lee Hak Joo recalls in voice-over, “This was my first time posing for a poster, and I found it more nerve-racking and difficult than acting. So I learned a lot from Jung Il Woo and Kang Ji Young during the shoot. It was fun.”

Kang Ji Young adds, “The main focus of our drama ‘Sweet Munchies’ is cooking. I think it’s a drama that can really provide healing through delicious cooking and fun stories at the end of an exhausting day.”

While posing for a poster that involves food, Jung Il Woo’s playful antics repeatedly crack Kang Ji Young up, leading her to laugh, “Don’t look at me at all!” Jung Il Woo jokingly fires back, “I’m not looking at you!” The two co-stars then giggle together as they proceed with the shoot.

Finally, Jung Il Woo wraps up the video by commenting, “Our drama ‘Sweet Munchies’ is like a late-night snack that can sate your hunger and empty heart at the end of a tiring day. We’ll be greeting you with delicious late-night snacks, unique romance, and incredibly relatable stories, so please look forward to it.”

“Sweet Munchies” premieres on May 25 at 9:30 p.m. KST and will be available with English subtitles on Viki. In the meantime, check out the first teaser for the drama here, and watch the new behind-the-scenes clip below!
