I don't know if it's because I'm anticipating to get scared ...hehe... but my heart was racing many times watching the first episode. The music is not helping...hehe...

This excerpt is about today's episode:

"Part 1: “Gumiho” [구미호 / Nine-tailed Fox]

Airs: August 6

Dir.: Kwak Jung-hwan

This tragedy takes place within a household given the curse of the gumiho, or nine-tailed fox. After the curse is given, the family guards their secret over twelve generations and 400 years. Within this family is one girl, played by Park Min-young. In seeming contrast to the somber nature of their family history, she’s lively and curious, and the youngest female in the household. Her older sister, on the other hand (played by Kim Hae-eun), is much more serious, obedient to the cause of hiding the family secret. Her brother (Kim Tae-ho), the eldest grandson in the family (thus its heir) is a thoughtful young man with a particular interest in modern sciences, but when push come to shove he’s a weak person. He does, however, have doubts about the family’s rules."

I think I should just post the brighter scenes...the dark scenes are pretty dark...and I don't want to have those images in my mind...hehe...

It's strange...but as I watch I feel less and less scared...hehe...maybe I got used to it...

The last part is not scary at all...so don't worry...it's not that scary

I'm a major fan of Korean horror. :blush:

And I actually like the Nine Tail Fox story. I remember about ten years ago they did this exact same story but

different actors and it was actually sad.

The movie version with Ko Su Young in it was actually scary yet still sad...over all i think this folk tale is supposed to be sad.

Even the TV series GuMiHo was sad ending! starring Kim Tae Hee.

^^ did anyone get to see it yet? like the first episode? (haven't check it out yet ).

based on the pics alone, though, i kinda like how they didn't go overboard with the hanbok.

now the gumiho computer graphics, hope it doesn't look cheesy on the screen.

freaken it was a LOT scarier than I thought it'd be....they covered a lot of ground in one episode though....but I'm confused...why did they drink the gumiho's blood? and what the heck are the shiny round things that the grandpa kept?

It's not as scary as other Korean horror movies. I don't know Korean so I don't get the whole story but I cried at the end. It's sad. I don't understand the ending though. Someone please explain for me.

Oh, and Park Min Young does make a pretty fox ^^

OMG I MUST WATCH THIS!

I hate horror cause I've watched the original series for this when I was little and I've been scared of Korean ghosts ever since, but it brings back my childhood memories =)

I wanted to watch this with my non-Korean friends which means I need subtitles >.>

Does anyone know if someone's going to sub the series?
