Korean Ghost Stories’ is the typical Korean horror program that still resides in our memories. We all remember the time when we were waiting for the program’s dismal music to begin. This program contains the traditional myths and old folk tales of neighborhood that our grandparents used to tell us. Different from the past, our children are living in a complex world. Nowadays, youngsters enjoy multicultural contents in real time, through internet and mass media. We are living in a culture war that various nations’ cultural products attack viewers through diverse forms, such as novel, movie, drama, etc. This situation is same for summer horror programs. In this hot summer, there are three big reasons why ‘Korean Ghost Stories’ should come back. First of all, the program features Korean traditional ghost tales, which had been a mainstay of summer. Second, our children should watch our own traditional contents, instead of the horror stories from unknown origins. Finally, it’s the return of Korean summer contents with humor, satire, moral lesson, and admirable stories. Keeping the original version’s ancient backdrop, ‘Korean Ghost Stories’ presents a total of eight different episodes with modern plots and original themes.

Jae Hee is not casted in this drama but his name will come when a search is done as he was in a movie with Park Shin Hye that have the same korean name.

The drama "Hometown of legends" actually have several stories woven together like Sa Gang & Choi Soo Jung will be playing a couple who will be fighting against demons as the sword of gods is being forged. And Park Min Young will be leading in another story about nine-tailed foxes in KBS Hometown of legends as a Gumiho.

연기자로 변신한 이진(사진)이 KBS 전설의 고향 ‘환향녀’(이민홍 연출, 박영숙 극본)의 주인공으로 캐스팅됐다.

이진은 가수에서 연기자로 전업을 선언한 뒤 첫 연기데뷔를 사극으로 결정해 관심을 모았다. 이진은 드라마 ‘왕과 나’에서 정현황후를 맡아 연기 가능성을 보여줬다.

이민홍 PD는 ‘왕과 나’에서 열연한 이진을 보고 이번에 전격적으로 주인공에 캐스팅하게 됐다.

이진은 극중 수연역을 맡아 정인과 혼례를 치르던 날 청나라 군사들에 의해 심양으로 끌려가 천신만고 끝에 고향에 돌아오지만 환향녀라는 이유로 시댁에서 버림받고 결국 원혼이 맺혀 비련의 연인으로 열연하게 된다.

이진은 “장르와 역할을 가리지 않고 연기자로서 늘 새로운 모습을 보여줄 계획”이라며 “이번 배역도 최선을 다해 완벽하게 소화하겠다”고 당찬 각오를 다졌다.

Lee Jin, who has turned into an actress will take the leading role in the KBS horror drama ’Hwanhyangnyu.’

Lee Jin had announced that she would stop all her activities as a singer and made her debut as an actress through a history drama, drawing much attention. Lee Jin took the role of Junghyun Queen in the drama ’The King and Me,’ and proved her potential as an actress. Producer Lee Minhong cast Lee Jin as the main actress of the horror drama after seeing her act in ’The King and Me.’

In the new drama, Lee Jin will take the role of Sooyun who gets married to Jungin but is forcibly sent to Shimyang on the day of her marriage. When she comes back to her hometown, she is jilted by her family-in-law, and becomes a tragic figure. Lee Jin said, "I am planning to show new aspects of myself regardless of genre or the role I take. I will do my best in this drama."

so he will only be starring in one story. i hope this drama will do very well in the ratings.

Will be his 1st period drama.

Out of the 8 stories, Jae Hee will act the character 'Yoon Ki Joo' in the story 오구도령 Oh-gu-do-ryung (Heavenly Pen ?), which airs on 21st Aug.

총 8편이 제작될 '전설의 고향'에서 재희는 '오구도령'편에 주인공 윤기주 역을 연기한다.
