i kinda agreed with hyesun outfit , from the others two HYD . . makino style is super simple

IMO the outfit it a little bit to much; to me it don't fit makino personality at all.

I agree. She's poor, simple and not cutesy at all. She's a working girl. But from the pic I saw Hye sun's outfit was just O_O kiddish and cutesy. meh I hope her other outfits aren't so bad.

Ah! I love the new pictures! I basically agree with everyone else... GHS's outfit is a bit too cutesy for Makino, but I think they're trying to make her look more youthful(?).

Anyway, everyone else looks great. I actually like LMH's hair in this one, and Kim Bum is adorable as always.

The first one doesn't really bother me. But the second one, she does look older than the F4 and really pretty! She needs makino's bangs and simple hair (straight or braided).

Makino's look doesn't really bother me. maybe they put her in that outfit because the actress is older than all of F4. anyway, this is our first look, so i am willing to give her a chance. and try and hope they follow through with at least the core of the story.

but i am feeling really good about it. i love Meteor Garden and i loved Hana Yori Dango, i hope i will love this as well. basing definitely on looks, Lee Min Ho will be a good Domyouji. even though Matsumoto Jun is a good actor, he wasn't right for Domyouji (he was too small!). but LMH fits the role. as does KHJ fits Rui.

anyway, i can't wait!!!

Thanks to everyone for the photos and inside information! I hope they announce who's playing the rest of characters soon: Yuki, Sakurako, Kaede, etc.

I'm assuming the girl in the white hat is GHS? The outfit is cute. And dalia, I agree that they're having GHS putting on these cutsy outfits as to emphasize that her character is younger than all of the F4 because of the actress's age. HOWEVER, I hope Group 8 will also keep in mind that her character is poor (or at least lower-middle class) and try not to dress her up like she's rich. Although, there are a lot of Korean dramas that dress up poor characters expensive-looking clothes or give them pricey cellphones (without explanation). I understand that is due to PPL, but still... We may have to suspend disbelief for the sake of the drama.

In any case, everyone looks great. I'm glad they changed up the hairstyles from the original HYD (take KB's hairstyle for example, compared to the hairstyle of the actor in the Japanese version of the drama).

Your enthusiasm is infectious. I actually think Matsumoto Jun looks better with the curly perm than Lee Min-ho does, but it works for LMH. (And this is coming from someone who isn't a Matsujun or LMH fan.)

I've heard that YW (or is it Jan-Di now?) eventually ends up joining the same school F4 is in after running into them with laundry. Is that true? Or is she a part of their school from the start and runs up the laundry in the process?

It's really nothing new... It's just a slideshow of some really good photoshopping of the Japanese actors in HYD with the Korean ones. The BGM is Planetarium (ah... I just adore that song).

LJPhantom: I'm a fan of your reviews in EOE thread! Boy, am I glad to see (errr) read your post here!

That F4 poster makes me fall for LMH as domyoji. It's not just the hair that is better, but the facial structure as well. It's the domyoji from the manga! Hopefully, his acting will be just as great if not better than Matsujun. I accepted Matsujun's domyoji in the japanese version, but it was his own version. Somewhat different from the one in the manga or anime, nevertheless it was still great and I love it.

Honestly, the only actor I've actually seen in a drama is Kim Bum, who I absolutely adore. I fell for his brilliant acting in east of eden. Even though his role here is small, I'm excited to see him in a new project.

Uhmmm.. i wonder, is that poster (anime/korean) official? What's going on with Makino's hair.... and the earings??? She's so pretty! I can't help but compare her to Inoue Mao. Mao can look really plain, but she can easily make a transformation to a cute and attractive (and unique) girl.

I'm anticipating this drama, The japanese version failed to impress me, it was abit too cheesy for me.

I'm hoping this version will be better.

I've seen most of the actors/actress acting and i'm satisfied. I've yet to see Kim Hyun-joong's acting but he looks like Rui to me.

Can i ask when this will air? I have kbs world, so will the drama air 2/3 weeks after with english subtitles?

Although Kim Bum isn't playing one of the main three (Makino, Tsukasa and Rui) so he wont get as much screen time as I'd like he does get a storyline completely independent from Makino, which can't be said for anyone else.

I can't imagine them not doing the Sara/Yuki storyline because A) It's Kim Bum, after his success in EoE they have to give him something to do. And B)They have a lot of episodes to fill.

If I'm proven wrong I'll be very upset.

I have an irrational hatred of bobble hats so I wont comment on the outfit.

^ lol if you actually read the manga before watchin the japanese version, you will realize that it failed on so many levels O_O I can't see anything perfect about it, but then again for new viewers who never read the manga before, it may have been good to them.

So im really hoping this will be better than the japanese and taiwanese version. Taiwanese version follows the manga very closely but acting + actors + scenes were pretty bad.
