I agree about SunHwa. Up to this point IRIS has been bending over backwards to protect CSH, there's no reason she'd suddenly be a target. Also, why would there be a file on her mixed in with a list of people connected to IRIS if she were a potential victim...?

Kwon Sang-woo for IRIS 2?

With Lee Byung-heon most likely leaving the IRIS franchise behind when the series ends later this month, how would you feel about Kwon Sang-woo stepping in as the next leading man? According to Kwon himself, he was offered that possibility.

On December 11, he appeared on the KBS morning show Yeo Yoo Man Man to say, “These days, I’m enjoying watching IRIS. Actually, the movie I’m filming now (Into the Gunfire) is being made by the same production company as IRIS, and I received an offer to be in IRIS 2.”

However, a rep from Kwon’s side made sure to clarify the situation in a phone interview with My Daily on the 11th: “Kwon Sang-woo is currently filming the movie Into the Gunfire, and IRIS hasn’t ended yet. Casting talks aren’t yet serious. When he met with the production company president, he was asked lightly, ‘What do you think of doing it?’ IRIS 2 doesn’t yet have a director or actors, and it’s not time for casting talks yet. He was only expressing that he likes the show. Kwon Sang-woo isn’t the type to decide on a project easily. Currently, he’s fielding a lot of offers within Korea and from abroad. Of course, if he ends up shooting IRIS 2 that would be great, but the script and role may change. He plans to focus on his acting activities beginning next year.”

(Talk about protesting too much, eh? In my overactive imagination, I am seeing two possible scenarios: Either they’re trying to keep Kwon’s schedule wide open for other possibilities and don’t want to commit, or he made a faux pas by mentioning IRIS, pissed of people at Taewon, and has to now backtrack. Note that I’m making all this up in my head, but it’s amusing to ponder.)

Despite all that backpedaling and the fact that it seems too early to seriously consider casting, I’d actually like to see Kwon Sang-woo playing a spy in IRIS 2. He’s had a rough couple of years, which is partly bad luck but also partly due to questionable choices. I think he’d be a great successor for Lee Byung-heon as a recognizable Hallyu star who would have as much to gain from the role as the drama would for having him. He’s still famous, but he hasn’t had a good role in years and his post-army career has been less successful than his buddies like Song Seung-heon and So Ji-sub, populated by one disappointment after another. (His recent projects: melodrama Bad Love, weepie flop More than Blue, and underwhelming trendy drama Cinderella Man.)

OMG, i havent watched ep 18 yet, but reading those spoilers, I am really wondering how the end would be at ep 20. I am reallly not looking forward to seeing season 2 because i had experience with expecting too much on season 2 of other dramas and it turned out was not as what i thought. I just cross my fingers and hope IRIS wont be in the same path as other dramas went. Hope it would be better.

The book's sypnosis:

IJonathan Safran Foer, a young talented New Yorker author tells in “Extremely loud & incredibly close” the story of the extraordinary nine year old Oskar Schell, who lives with his mother and her new boyfriend in a flat in Manhattan.

What is so special about Oskar is his ability to invent all kinds off stuff, his incredible imagination and his unquenchable thirst for knowledge. He describes himself as an inventor, pacifist, atheist, scientist and adventurer and, besides, speaks French with passion, plays the tambourine and designs and creates jewellery. At first he seems to be a very happy young man, but the truth is that he is incredibly sad and very unhappy. He misses his father, Thomas Schell, who died in the attack on the World Trade Center in 2001.

A year after this tragedy Oskar discovers a mysterious key in an envelope in his father’s clothes closet upon which is inscribed the word “Black”. He supposes now that this is a clue to a riddle. Because before Oskar`s father died, he sometimes played the game “Reconnaissance Expedition“ with his son on Sundays. The father gave Oskar a task and some clues and he had to find a solution. But the last riddle never ended, the father died before Oskar could solve it.

Oskar’s Mission now is to find a lock that fits to the key. So he decides to visit every person in New York with the last name of Black and asks them if they know anything about the key or his father. So Oskar’s New York odyssey begins, he meets several Blacks and asks them about his key and his father, but at the beginning no one seems to know anything. This depresses him and after eight months of search he decides to give up. But then a woman calls and tells him that her husband knows something about the key. William Black is indeed the owner of the key but he has nothing to do with Oskar’s father.

Mr. Black’s father left the envelope with the key in a small blue vase behind for his son. His son didn’t know anything about that key. So after Mr. Black Senior had died, his son sold everything that belonged to his father. The blue vase was bought by Thomas Schell, Oskar’s father, for his wife. After the sale Mr. Black Junior discovered a letter from his father. He had written that he had left a key in the blue vase that could open a safe-deposit box at a bank. Mr. Black Junior now began looking for Mr Schell.

Parallel to Oskar’s Story, Foer also tells the life story of Oskar’s grandparents, his father’s parents. In chapters titled, “WHY I’M NOT WHERE YOU ARE” Oskar’s grandfather writes several letters to his son (Thomas Schell). In these letters he apologizes to his son that he left his mother before Thomas was born and that he had never come back again. In chapters entitled “MY FEELINGS” Oskar`s grandma writes letters to Oskar and tells him her life story.

The chapters written by the grandparents are very impressive. Both are survivors of the fire-bombing in Dresden in the Second World War. They tell what they have lost in Dresden, their families and their friends. Oskar’s grandfather has lost the love of his life in this tragic event; it was the sister of Oskar`s grandmother. They also speak about their lives after Dresden, how they found each other and how they continued life together.

“Extremely loud & incredibly close” is a wonderful story about ups and downs in life, about how several persons handle horrible occurrences, about losing something or someone that you love and about coming to terms with this loss.

Why does this remind me of what the Doctor did for HJ? The name card, the key, the bank deposit . . .and now Mr.Black. In a way, HJ has always been searching for that. He doesn't know it but the answer his questions is with Mr.Black.

Wow, I didn't know the author also wrote Everything is Illuminated. Great great movie, it also dealt with war aftermaths.

There are a lot of speculation about the ending whether HJ will die or not? So the writer answered seems like they're gonna let either HJ or CSH died. Now they're still deciding which one to die. THey haven't made the decision yet. Regarding CSH identity. They have confirmed she's not BS daughter but she's gonna be one character that has one of the most impact on the story. They're saying that even after watching the last episode, the question regarding CSH character will still be there and even gonna let audience become more curious. After the ending, there will still be unanswered question. The writer has also confirmed that season 2 will be completely new character show. So all the actors/actresses will be new

man, i kind of knew that would happened...but i'm going to support the show all the way. i hope season 2 will be just as good. i still wished though that the writer wouldn't kill of one or the other, cause i just hate that, it's too cliche. i rather have them both die then...or just let them live and send them to some place different. a place where they will be able to start over...idk, it just seems that plots like this always end up with an ending of someone important dying. but i guess it's the only legit way to end a good drama like this..

‘아이리스’ 김현준(이병헌 분)의 치료제는 최승희(김태희 분)의 키스였다.

김현준과 최승희는 지난 10일 방송된 KBS 2TV 수목드라마 ‘아이리스’(극본 김현준 조규원 김재은/연출 김규태 양윤호) 18회에서 제주도로 여행을 떠나 닭살커플의 면모를 드러냈다.

김현준은 호텔방에서 미국 911테러로 아버지를 잃은 7살 아이가 쓴 책을 읽고 있었다. 최승희는 김현준에게 "왜 이런 책을 읽냐"고 묻자 김현준은 "나의 어린시절과 비슷해 일종의 치료제 역할을 해준다"고 대답했다.

최승희는 “확실한 치료제가 있어. 바로 나”라고 얼굴을 붉히며 현준의 이마에서부터 입술에까지 키스를 하기 시작했다.

승희는 키스 후 현준에게 “어때 효과 있어?”라고 물었고 현준은 “약간”이라며 두사람의 애정행각은 계속됐다.

두사람은 제주도에서 게임도 하고 술도 마시고 함께 바닷가도 거닐며 행복한 시간을 보냈지만 이들에게 슬픈 운명의 그림자가 점점 다가오고 있었다.

북한 김선화(김소연 분)가 입수한 자료를 통해 최승희가 아이리스 조직과 관련돼 있단 사실이 포착됐다. 최승희는 여행도중 누군가의 전화를 받고 말없이 사라져 버렸다.

현준은 승희가 NSS로 돌아오자 “어디 갔다온 것이냐”고 물었지만 승희는 “나중에 이야기 해주겠다”고 말하며 대답을 꺼렸다.

시 청자들은 관련 게시판을 통해 “전화 한통화에 승희의 태도가 갑자기 변화했다. 설마 승희가 누군가를 만나 현준을 죽이라는 명령을 받고온 것은 아닐까요?”, “승희의 태도는 알 것 같으면서도 모르겠다. 그녀 스스로도 자신이 아이리스라는 것을 몰랐던 것인가?”라고 의견을 제시하며 최승희의 앞으로 행동에 관심을 보였다.

한편 ‘아이리스’ 18회는 시청률 조사회사 AGB닐슨미디어리서치 집계 결과, 전국기준 32.2%를 기록했다.

이병헌 김태희 주연의 KBS 2TV 수목 드라마 ‘아이리스’가 대통령 암살계획이 드러나는 흥미진진한 전개에 수목극 부동의 1위를 지키고 있다.

시청률 조사회사 TNS미디어코리아에 따르면 12월 10일 방송된 '아이리스' 18회는 전국기준 35.7%로 전날 자체최고시청률 37.2%에서 다소 하락한 양상을 보였다. 하지만 이는 지난 11월 4일 방송된 7회분부터 무려 11회 이상 연속으로 30%대를 넘은 기록으로, 여전히 부동의 1위를 보여주고 있다.

동 시간대 방송된 고수 한예슬 주연 SBS '크리스마스에 눈이 올까요' 4회 시청률 7.8%로 전회 7.2%보다는 다소 상승했지만 여전히 고전을 면치 못하고 있다.

한편 이날 방송된 '아이리스'는 아이리스 조직원 백산(김영철 분)이 진사우(정준호 분)에게 대통령 암살 계획을 밝히는 내용이 전개돼 긴장감을 더했다.

'아이리스'의 팬들 사이에서 초유의 관심대상이 되고 있는 최승희(김태희 분)의 정체에 관한 힌트가 공개됐다.

12월 10일 방송된 KBS 2TV 수목드라마 ‘아이리스’(극본 김현준 조규원 김재은 /연출 김규태 양윤호) 18회 분에서 김현준은 최승희와 함께 제주도로 짧은 여행을 떠났다.

최승희는 김현준과 함께 예전처럼 닭살커플로 돌아가 달콤한 휴가를 즐기던 중 한 통의 전화를 받았다. 딱딱하게 전화를 받던 최승희는 잠든 김현준(이병헌 분)을 뒤로 하고 호텔을 나갔고 이후 연락이 두절됐다.

김현준은 '백산(김영철 분)과 진사우(정준호 분)가 탈출했다'는 박상현(윤제문 분)의 소식을 들은 뒤 최승희에게 연락을 시도했지만 최승희의 휴대폰은 계속해서 꺼진 상태였다.

같은 시각 '아이리스'에 복귀한 진사우는 우연히 백산의 통화 내용을 엿들은 뒤 백산과 조직에 대해 의문을 품게 됐다. 백산은 누군가와의 통화에서 "최승희 문제도 지시한대로 조처하겠습니다"고 말했다.

진사우는 백산이 내통하고 있는, 감금된 여인이 최승희임을 감지한 뒤 백산을 찾아가 답답함을 호소했지만 백산은 "알게 되는 것만 알면 된다"며 어떤 것도 알려주지 않았다.

묵묵부답인 것은 최승희도 마찬가지였다. 갑작스럽게 국가 안전국(NSS)에 모습을 드러낸 최승희는 연인인 김현준에게 조차 "미안하다"고만 할 뿐 "지금은 말하기 힘드니 넘어가 달라'고 부탁했다.

이로써 최승희와 백산의 관련성이 거의 확실시되고 있지만 자세한 내막은 밝혀지지 않아 어느 하나도 확실히 단정지을 수 없는 상태다.

한편, 남조선으로 가자는 박철영(김승우 분)의 제안을 거절했던 김선화(김소연 분)가 김태희 프로필을 열어본 뒤 남조선에 가기로 마음을 바꿔 김태희의 정체에 대한 궁금증을 더욱 증폭되고 있다.

아이리스 ‘최승희 정체’, 시청자들의 무한 상상력 ‘반전 더한 결말까지?’

'아이리스' 속 최승희 정체에 대한 궁금증이 극에 달하고 있다.

지난 10일 방송된 KBS 2TV 수목드라마 '아이리스' 18회에서는 제주도로 여행을 간 현준(이병헌 분)과 승희(김태희 분)는 아픔을 극복하고 얻은 사랑을 만끽한다.

하지만 아침이 되자 한 통의 전화를 받은 승희가 현준을 남겨두고 떠나고, 호출을 받은 현준은 홀로 NSS로 복귀한다. 승희의 휴대전화는 전원이 꺼져있고, 미정(쥬니)마저 죽은채로 발견돼 현준의 걱정이 점점 커진다.

이후 아무렇지 않은 듯 다시 NSS(국가안전국)에 복귀한 최승희는 "내가 무사히 돌아왔으니 그것으로 됐다"며 "나중에 자세한 이야기를 하자"고 김현준을 달랬지만 현준은 이내 승희에게 "인질로 잡혀있을 때 널 심문하던 강도철(장동직 분)이 어디선가 걸려온 전화 한 통을 받고 널 그냥 풀어줬다. 니가 왜 무사히 풀려났는지 궁금하지 않느냐"고 묻자 승희는 "나도 그게 궁금했는데, 이유를 잘 모르겠다"고 대답을 회피한다.

진사우(정준호 분) 역시 연모하던 최승희와 백산(김영철 분)을 의심한다. 아이리스의 도움으로 탈출에 성공한 백산과 사우는 대통령 암살 계획을 세운다. 사우는 백산에게 "국장과 승희의 관계가 궁금하다. 승희에게만 특별한 배려를 하는 이유가 무엇이냐"고 묻지만 "불필요한 의문은 너를 위험하게 만든다. 최승희에 대한 의문은 버려라. 마음속에 승희를 두고있다면 그것은 가장 위험한 짓이다"라고 충고한다.

백산의 충고에 이어 백산이 누군가와 전화 통화를 하며 '최승희'란 이름이 거론되자 사우의 의혹은 점점 커져가기만 한다.

또 한 북한으로 건너간 선화(김소연 분) 역시 승희에 대한 의문점을 발견한다. 철영(김승우 분)이 부탁한 파일을 검토하던 도중 승희가 아이리스에 속해 있다는 사실을 알게 되고, 남한으로 건너온 선화는 현준을 만나 "쿠데타 가담자 중 아이리스 자료가 나왔다. 거기에 최승희가 거론되고 있다. 아무래도 최승희가 제거 대상인 것 같다. 승희가 위험하다"고 알린다.

이어 양미정(쥬니 분)에 이어 대통령 비서실장인 정영준(정한용 분)이 청와대 홍보기획관 홍수진과 킬러인 빅(빅뱅 탑, 본명 최승현)으로부터 암살당하는 장면이 방송돼 극적 긴장감을 더했다.

'아이리스' 속 갈등의 중심에 서 있는 최승희에 대해 곳곳에서 의심의 눈초리가 고개를 들고 있다. 현준은 연인 승희의 묘연한 행적이 궁금하기만 하고, 사우는 백산과 승희의 관계가 의문스럽다. 아직까지 베일에 싸여있는 최승희의 정체는 시청자들의 궁금증을 자극하고 있다.

이 날 방송이 끝나자 시청자들은 해당 게시판을 통해 "도대체 김태희의 정체는 무엇이냐" "사라진 시간 동안 김태희는 무엇을 했던 것일까. 백산으로부터 자신의 정체에 대한 이야기를 들은 것이냐" "진짜 김태희가 아이리스냐" 등 글을 올리며 폭발적인 관심을 보였다.

이와 관련해 드라마 '아이리스'의 김현준 작가는 마이데일리와의 전화인터뷰에서 "드라마와 소설의 결말은 다를 것이다. 이미 소설과 구조가 달라져버렸다. 결말이 같을 수 없는 상황"이라고 설명했다. 최승희의 묘연한 행방에 관심이 집중되는 가운데 2회분을 남겨둔 '아이리스'의 결말에 관심이 모아지고 있다.

한편, 이날 방송된 ‘아이리스’ 18회 전국기준 시청률은 35.7%(TNS 미디어코리아)로 전날 17회 37.2%에서 소폭 하락했다.

'아이리스' 최승희 정체가 쌍둥이?

KBS 2TV ‘아이리스’가 종영 1주를 남겨둔 가운데, 최승희(김태희 분)의 정체가 반전의 핵심축으로 떠오르며 궁금증을 자극하고 있다.

10일 방송된 '아이리스' 18회에서 최승희가 비밀조직 아이리스와 모종의 연관이 있음이 드러났다. 이날 방송에서 선화(김소연 분)는 아이리스 관련 파일을 검토하던 중 최승희의 자료를 발견했다. 백산(김영철 분)이 조직 인물과의 통화 중 “최승희 문제도 지시한대로 조처하겠다”고 말해 눈길을 끌기도 했다. 백산은 승희가 북한 테러단에 인질로 잡혔던 당시에도 아이리스의 힘을 빌어 무사귀환을 지시한 바 있다.

승희는 또 연인 김현준(이병헌 분)과 함께 제주도 여행 중 누군가의 전화를 받고 외출해 연락이 두절되고, 이후 국가안전국(NSS)에 다시 나타나서도 “미안하다. 지금은 말하기 힘드니 넘어가 달라”고 말해 의문을 자아냈다.

이처럼 최승희의 예측할 수 없는 행동과 주변의 정황이 그의 실체에 대해 궁금증이 폭발하고 있다. 방송 후 시청자 게시판과 각종 인터넷 커뮤니티에 '최승희의 정체'에 대한 온갖 추측들이 만발했다.

방 송에서 최승희와 아이리스의 상관성이 암시되면서 그녀가 아이리스 수장과 관계된 인물이라는 주장이 지배적이다. 최승희는 아이리스 조직 보스의 양녀 또는 연인이라는 추측이다. 일부 네티즌들은 백산이 현준에게 언급한 ‘금단의 열매’라는 표현을 근거로 “보통 딸에게는 쓰지 않는 표현이다. 승희는 아이리스 보스가 사랑하는 여인일 것”이라고 주장했다. 이는 이병헌과 김영철이 동반 출연했던 영화 ‘달콤한 인생’의 내용과 겹치기도 한다.

아이리스 은신처 지하실에 감금된 인물과 최승희의 관계에 대해서도 설전이 벌어지고 있다. 이날 방송에서는 누군가 지하실에 갇혀 있고 오직 백산만이 출입하고 있는 장면이 나왔다. 시청자들은 감금된 것이 최승희의 어머니 또는 남동생 등으로 예상하고 있다. 아이리스가 가족을 볼모로 최승희를 조직원으로 삼고 조종하고 있다는 것이다.

지하실에 갇힌 인물이 최승희라는 다소 충격적인 주장도 제기됐다. 한 시청자는 “최승희가 실은 일란성 쌍둥이고 선화가 발견한 아이리스 파일 속 인물은 최승희가 아니라 이 쌍둥이”라며 “전화를 받고 연락두절 됐을 때 최승희는 납치 감금됐고 나중에 NSS에 나타난 것은 그의 쌍둥이다”라고 했다. 또 “진짜 최승희는 ‘아이리스’ 5회에서 현준과 도주 중 차가 폭발했을 때 이미 죽었고 지금 나오는 것은 그를 닮은 가짜”라는 의견도 있다.

이 밖에도 “최승희와 킬러 빅(탑)이 친남매간이며, 이들 남매가 어릴 적 부모를 여의고 아이리스 수장에게 입양됐다”, “최승희가 아이리스 보스 또는 후계자”, “아이리스 보스가 최승희의 오빠” 등 각양각색의 의견들이 시청자 게시판을 가득 메우고 있다.

‘아이리스’ 제작자 정태원 대표는 한 언론과의 인터뷰에서 “최승희를 백산의 딸로 설정하려고 했던 적도 있었지만 네티즌들이 너무 빨리 눈치 채 폐기됐다”며 “김태희는 반전의 핵심축이다. 마지막 회까지 보고 나면 김태희에 대해 더 많이 궁금해질 것이다. 밝혀지지 않는 부분도 남아 있을 수 있다”라고 밝혀 더욱 호기심을 유발하고 있다.

Just read an interview with Iris writer...I think it will shed some light on the situation

There are a lot of speculation about the ending whether HJ will die or not? So the writer answered seems like they're gonna let either HJ or CSH died. Now they're still deciding which one to die. THey haven't made the decision yet. Regarding CSH identity. They have confirmed she's not BS daughter but she's gonna be one character that has one of the most impact on the story. They're saying that even after watching the last episode, the question regarding CSH character will still be there and even gonna let audience become more curious. After the ending, there will still be unanswered question. The writer has also confirmed that season 2 will be completely new character show. So all the actors/actresses will be new

it's a bit too late to join with you guys but I've been watching 18 ep without any discussion. I couldn't understand the whole story because subtitles from the site I got always behind but watching LBH and KTH is more interesting. Finally I found you guys here and thanks for the posts. Now I could get some ideas to share with everyone.

Worldwide's fans talked about the same possiblity which made my heart broken. I'm still positive I can't see the potential that CSH will be Boss of IRIS Org. If she was, she should have realized that her love with HJ wouldn't be possible. Anyone who could be in that top rank couldn't even get chance to fall in love at all. If she was trying to get some info from HJ, it was another case. Meanwhile, IRIS will watch every steps so I don't think the org. will let her get the romance with the NSS spy no matter if she's the boss or not. Of course, I wondered why she just left her work easily after she came back from Hungary or she got back to work again which seemed like she's not deserved to work at NSS either, so she's got the privilege. I couldn't think anyhting else so "GSH is the Mr. president's daughter"

Wow! it made me feel good, no matter what the ending would be, I definitly love watching LBH and KTH, LBH it might be late to know about you after All In but I will look for all your movies/dramas. Then I could join the fans out here in the future.
