Guest ramya427
the only reason I am seeing this drama is LBH...if he is not there..ohhhhhhh the drama will suck Just came upon this link, http://popseoul.com/2009/12/01/iris-season...lee-byung-heon/ At least we know who survives and what not. Iris season 2 will kinda suck without LBH though
Guest Lilazinprincess
Dramabean's IRIS Episode 4 Recap: http://www.dramabeans.com/2009/12/iris-episode-4/#more-13089 ----------------- From a recent article, it said that PCY originally was supposed to be killed after he found out that he was being used....this of course did not happen in the drama. Another point that the drama is straying away from the novel. The writers also admit that they did use '24' as their reference. But they did emphasize that they did not copy from the show. As for the ending, they note that we should focus on Seunghee (I've been waiting 17 episodes for this. ><). The ending will not match the current speculations. Only the writers know what the ending will be. The cast are still out of the loop. >< Also, one of the writers' wife name is Seunghee. (random point since we have a writer named Kim HyungJoon and now a writer's wife named Seunghee...hmm) Remember the scene where she tackled the NK terrorist guy? Well she really tackled him, to the point where she destroyed so much in the room that they had to halt filming for one day.

Guest kimbo39
Does anybody else view the visual of a barely 5 feet tall, 90-pound Kim Tae Hee brandishing an automatic weapon as nothing short of farcical? I've fired weapons, and the recoil alone would probably knock her on her bony derriere. I see that they are likely going to serialize the show; I really hope the PDs take a cue from Britain's "MI-5," which focuses much more on the art of espionage (aliases, assets, international affairs/diplomacy, spy-tech, etc), eschewing the elaborate, discombobulated shootouts that quite frankly are nothing more than pyrotechnic shows. Korean shows have a habit of placing too much emphasis on the actors and not the overarching plot lines; this is not an instance for such myopia. I understand that Korean studios don't have anywhere near the cash or workable area that their American/European counterparts have, but you gotta be kidding me; a grenade is activated at dusk, and suddenly there is an explosion at pitch black evening, only to have the scene return to dusk as the bloodbath continues? Just do it all at night then. I give credit to Korean TV for undertaking such a relatively ponderous project, but I almost rather they just stick to their bread and butter of family dramas and period pieces if they can't even approach the level of detail and sophistication of American/European spy series. taizhu
Hmmm. I respect your opinion and agree it looks sloppy, but I chalk that up to the circumstances. The PDs but one day to shoot and time only flows in one direction. You can't do anything about a setting sun, except try to film faster. But in such a complicated shoot, I doubt they could. I doubt they had the ability to blow up the car multiple times and I also doubt they could have done the entire shoot after the sun had set. That's an issue of last minute filming and also the location, which was only available for the one day. So the PDs probably had to just live with it. I give credit to Korean TV for undertaking such a relatively ponderous project, but I almost rather they just stick to their bread and butter of family dramas and period pieces if they can't even approach the level of detail and sophistication of American/European spy series. I don't agree with that. I don't see anything wrong with Korean TV for wanting to push their dramas further. Why be content with the status quo? So IRIS is not perfect. That doesn't really bother me. I'm entertained in a way that I am not in comparison to shows like 24, which to me have no heart/romance. I find shows like 24 depressing and empty. Sure it's well written and acted, but for me there is nothing but the cold irony and cynicism that I have grown really tired of in American television. I love that IRIS is a show with spies, shoot outs, and what have you, but the director still recognizes that one of the biggest highlights was having the lovers finally meet again and kiss. Only Korean TV could make a simple hug/kiss feel that monumental.
rubie
Despite coming from the opposing sides being abandoned at will, they had survived together. Throughout IRIS their relationship is one most sincere without underlying agendas or dark secrets lurking. He asked her to stay knowing that there's no one for her at home but she declined, staying on with him there will only make her even more lonely. Unbelievable that he never once called her by her name -- that she had to ask as her last request before saying goodbye, my love. His one true ally. Despite all that happened and the number of people that left this show today, that scene moved me the most. I can't imagine IRIS without those two. And now with the possibility of the woman who he loved and trust not being who he thought she was....I think the only person left in this world who HJ can trust would be Sunhwa. I'm grateful that the author has made such a character. I would also say that she is flawless. Her difficulty with expression her emotions defined her character. It wasn't a drawback; it was a her. I don't think any character coming from her background would have been any different. Random thought but, If Seunghee was the "forbidden fruit," would the fact that she worked in a flower shop be symbolical? Too much thinking or is that important? Guest ramya427
is there a moment where KHJ felt love for KSH?? she is so loyal to him...why does he love CSH?? unable to understand Despite coming from the opposing sides being abandoned at will, they had survived together. Guest -Skye
This episode was so sad when KSH left KHJ, I hope they reunite towards the end when he fights off the rest of the Iris members. Guest 2uss
i just finished watching ep 16. i thought the reunion kiss was in this episode, but i didn't see it. it couldn't possibly be edited...is it? it aired in the cable channel OCN you can look for it a few pages back...someone post the link on youtube is there a moment where KHJ felt love for KSH?? she is so loyal to him...why does he love CSH?? unable to understand in Hyun Joon's heart, only Seung Hee is the woman he love... we, the audience felt something, that he could have love Sun Hwa as well, heck, i fell for it... LBH and KSY's chemistry were amazing... but in the story i only felt that the true love that exist in Hyun Joon's heart was only for Seung Hee and no one else... :excl: what he may have felt for Sun Hwa (if he even did) was erased when he saw Seung Hee at the computer room inside NSS, that she was alive after all these years... led to his heart to live again... rubie
is there a moment where KHJ felt love for KSH?? she is so loyal to him...why does he love CSH?? unable to understand They can't choose whom to fall in love with. HJ met and was attracted to CSH first from way before and vice-versa. KSH didn't know the HJ before Hungary, she only knew the "damaged" HJ.. just like she is and had fallen for him in Akita. I believe at that particular moment letting go of KSH finally showed that HJ does love her.. obviously not as much in capacity as he had for CSH but he does love KSH unknowingly and probably only realizing it way too late. It's just impossible for both of them and they can only keep that feeling in their hearts. I've only just finished downloading ep17 and can't resist watching the goodbye scene first, it's superbly presented and acted by the actors. Can't stop the tears from falling seeing this heartfelt scene (so unexpectedly satisfying and especially bittersweet) -- one that comes close was the one when HJ left CSH at SW's doorstep after the torture scene. There are so many good scenes in IRIS throughout but this is one of the best for me.. hands down.

Guest TaroTard
hi TaroTard  batch watching is fun!! before you know you'll be in ep 10!!! the drama's that good regarding reading spoilers well, we (most of us have agreed) to reduce possible spoilers, dear joynara, rubie, myself, lilaznprincess, and others try our best to hide with spoiler fonts (usually black, white) and with codebox for picture/image spoilers... but some IRIS fans may not know and would just post images and or participate in discussions without changing spoiler font color, but we don't mind and won't be too critical of them since everyday new fans of IRIS come to the thread to get updates and read on discussions HAHA too late! I watched ep 10 last night, I am so despearate to watch 11 right now but I am gonna have to wait a few hours >< I always think I will stop and go to bed after this ep, or I'll stop and do some work... then they end on an evil cliffhanger! I have to watch the next of course! LOL The cliffhanger at the end of 10 almost killed me, hence I am sooooo tempted to forget about doing any work and watching ^^;;; Anyway can't wait to see the rest <3 does this show finish at 20?
