“Jungle Fish” is a juvenile drama portraying the lives of Korean teenagers.

Jungle fish is a fish that lived in the African beach but was dropped into the jungle by a whirlwind. It hints at the situation of present-day youth who suffer from entrance exams to return to the beach (the future). The drama will reenact last year's scandal of leaked test forms for Gimpo Foreign Language High School's and this year's scandal of leaked problems for the national scholastic assessment test. The form of the drama is solving the scandal with a personal blog. It will also be like a documentary, using real clips from news and internet videos, and street interviews.

KBS 2TV 특집 청소년드라마 `정글피쉬`가 신선한 시도와 참신한 내용으로 호평을 받았다. 또한 김포외고 시험지 유출사건에 대한 또 다른 시각으로 잔잔한 감동을 줬다.

`정글피쉬`는 파일럿으로 제작된 청소년 드라마로, 어린이날인 5일 특집으로 편성돼 방송됐다. 김포외고 시험지 유출사건을 소재로 했으며, 현실감을 살린 구성으로 기획부터 주목을 끌었던 작품이다. 드라마의 중간, 중간 블로그를 통한 실제 청소년들의 의견을 들어보는 부분이 다큐멘터리 기법을 차용해 눈길을 끌었다.

시청자들에게 첫 선을 보인 `정글피쉬`는 기대 이상으로 큰 반향을 일으켰다. 청소년 드라마로는 신선한 시도도 돋보였지만, 뉴스에서만 봤던 김포외고 시험지 유출사건을 드라마로 엮어 새로운 시각에서 봤다는 점이 신선한 충격을 줬다.

뉴스를 통해 본 시험지 유출사건은 좋은 대학에 가기 위해 부모, 선생님, 학생이 합작해 만든 염치없는 작품이었다. 그러나 드라마를 통해 본 시험지 유출사건에는 부모와 선생님 등의 욕심에 당혹스러운 피해자가 된 학생들이 있었다.

드라마에서는 이 사건으로 인해 예기치 않게 피해자가 된 학생들, 그에 따라 학교 생활을 이어갈 수 없게 된 나약한 영혼들의 모습이 묘사됐다. 좋은 점수를 얻기 위해 파렴치한 일을 저질렀지만 결국 이들 역시 피해자였던 셈이다.

중간 중간 등장한 실제 학생들 역시 이번 사건은 있어서는 안되는 일이라고 성토하면서도, 한편으로는 어른들의 싸움에 피해자가 된 친구들을 향해 안타깝다는 메시지를 남기기도 했다.
