roaceica i too have visited arirang online and tried moving around on the site so that i would be able to go to

the right place when dae mang starts to air but there is much to learn and many places to go to on the site. so, figuring out where to click for actual tv drama viewing did not come easy for me either...but it seems that anything that they air on arirang tv can be found by clicking on tv and a schedule comes up, then you choose the time based on where you live. per the frequently asked questions anything that arirang tv airs is free. but i am not sure if the dramas are free. i clicked on drama and it seems that payment is required for those but i don't know for sure. i hope some kind soul who is experienced with the airirang website will give us some pointers cause i too am only guessing about arirang.

thanks malia for the reply! i think these special dramas are on a pay-per-view basis. some shows like showbiz show are for free to view. i live in glasgow,scotland and there are no kbs world cable network that i know of that offers this channel...huhuhu...hope someone can enlighten us so we can watch it.

roaceica, glasgow, scotland...wow, i think you might be just as far removed from k-drama as i am. there's not much market for it in my neighborhood, (outside of toledo, ohio). if arirang will be televising dae mang with english subs, i truly hope both of us will be able to view the episodes because it is one heck of a drama. i have been downloading what awesome wils has been uploading but to be able to view it with english subs would be so awesome!

i tried to watch king's woman just now because there is a sign saying it is on air even though there is no tv icon as you have instructed at the top--a pop up showed saying that it is unavilable to watch due to copyright issues. will this be the same for dae mang then?

hi lauren2b2...how lucky you are to be able to view daemang on arirang tv without any problems. yes, jo in sung has a very limited appearance and role in daemang.

anybody else having problems viewing daemang on arirang world tv? i have tried to view it twice now on new york time schedule and i can hear the audio but no video. on the screen i get a message that says, "on air service for this program is unavailable due to copyright issue". boohoo, waawaa..i have been waiting for the airing thinking i would finally be able to view daemang with english subs!! but no luck!

yes, it is a very powerful drama and truly worth viewing. lauren2b2, i hope you will continue to view the episodes even tho jo in sung won't be on...jang hyuk is worth every second of viewing, along with the others and of course the drama itself!! jang hyuk and jo hyun jae have wonderful charisma with each other and their characters connect and bond so well...those two display brotherly love in an amazing way. omgsh..talking about this great drama is making me so sad and disappointed..not to be able to view it with english subs is a big let down, especially since i can hear the audio!!!!

Just audio, no video. :fury:

I hope someone will be able to record and upload the episodes with English subs. (Unfortunately, I'm severely tech-challenged... :blush: but since I don't have satellite TV, that point is moot. )

Or, at the very least, maybe Arirang will offer the drama episodes for purchase (they seem to have other dramas available on their site).

I was looking forward to this series to see Jang Hyuk in action in a period drama. Didn't realised it was already showing on Arirang. Just checked my recorder and found episode 1 and 2.

As I fan of Jang Hyuk, I will do my best to share the series here. Will post the links shortly.

I tried to watch Arrirang TV through the Internet just now, and it worked out to me. It wasn't Dae Mang, though. I could receive video and audio successfully. I will re-try when dae mang is on. Get fingers crossed you and hjkome to succeed in getting to the drama eventually.

hey guys, i hope the streaming problems get sorted out before jang hyuk starts appearing on screen.

we have arirang, but i completely forgot about it when the 23rd rolled around, arghfndfdjkfdjd!!! this, despite my repeated mental conditioning this past month to watch out for it on arirang. i got to watch it last night and went, HEY! when jo in-sung literally *popped* on screen, for all 5.4 nanoseconds of his screen time, heh. i also went, HEY! when the kid (jang hyuk's character) turned out to be played by gom from hong gil dong!!! and, HEY....? when the older bro strongly reminded me of jang geun-suk... more than the soft, pubescent facial features, i think it was his *VOICE* that convinced me. i just checked out wils's eppy 1 guide, and lo and behold, it really WAS jang geun-suk!!! well well well...

drat, i totally missed tonight's eppy as well, by 30 minutes. poopy! it's so difficult for me to get into the habit of watching anything on TV, because i never really watch the local programming (or even cable), so... must. try. to. remember next time!!!!! *bonks self on head*

I had to check the forum too, if it was Jang Geun-Suk, he looks better now - although I thought he was hunkier then, puppy fat perhaps!

hjkome, you are right. the same problem happened to me when it comes to dae mang.^^ One episode is a hour long, so it must be divided into three pieces. better watch the full episode at one time.

wills anything for Jang Hyuk! Upset as it is that I didn't manage to catch him when he was in Singapore.

I won't be commenting much on the series as I normally prefer to watch a few epis continuously, though I did watch epis 1 & 2

up to epi 3 is still during the childhood years

Its going to be a long haul - technically we are getting about 1 3/4 episodes a week from Arirang. The last series King's women was like 130+ episodes.
