For Uhm Ki Joon fans.....but be forewarned - his character is completely different from PD Son in Worlds Within. B)

You're not kidding! In the beginning, I didn't recognize him at all. Then, the smile seem familiar. Then, I remembered what you said ... and my mouth drop!! He is a total 180 degrees different from PD Son. In this drama, he is more like Oscar Madison, from "Odd Couple". LOL : :excl: :w00t:

And, the newbie guy is almost like Felix Unger! LOL, the contents of his overnight suitcase all wrapped in plastic bags.

I hope some kind soul will provide summaries or recaps for us, non-Korean speakers.

Ep. 1 - Flaming/Spark-filled Start

Fastidious Newbie, Gong Chul Soo (Kim Heung Soo), gets in a car accident on his way to his first day on the job at the Special Investigation Unit.

He arrives to witness a dissatisfied client beating up Park Chan Ho (Uhm Ki Joon) over not getting his insurance payout.

Joo Kang Hyun (Shim Eun Jin) is the ballsy female investigator. She used to be a nurse and has some past history with Chan Ho (Btw, I love their chemistry!).

The three investigate a textile factory fire case worth 2 billion won.

There are signs of possible arson. The fire at the factory had three different hotspots, and the gas valve was left open.

The owner is in financial trouble, and he already received an insurance payout for a previous small fire. Expensive silk fabrics are discovered at the owner's home.

The employee in charge of turning off the gas valve, who had an argument with the owner over being refused money, is discovered to have a gambling problem. He left work early to gamble, but later that night, he witnessed the owner and his wife leaving the factor in good spirits.

The man, whose car Chul Soo hit, fakes injuries and tries to extort money from him.

Chan Ho offers to resolve the situation for 100,000 won. He secretly took photos of the accident as he was passing by while riding the bus.

The Investigation Team receive a mysterious package and think it might be a bomb sent by a dissatisfied client.

It turns out to be a jack-in-the-box welcome for the Newbie (most likely sent by Chan Ho).

The result of the investigation:

The culprit for the fire turns out to be the owners' cat, Butterfly, and static electricity.

Not understanding the Korean language, I have to guess at a lot of things. :rolleyes: But, you've confirmed my guesses.

Ep. 2 - Vicious Love, Fatal Wound

Two investigations: a woman commits suicide, and a leg model accidently burns her legs.

Chan Ho tells Chul Soo that they'll pay out the model's insurance because she's pretty.

The boss isn't happy about so many payouts. He commends Kang Hyun for her good investigative work (which didn't result in a payout). Chan Ho remarks that KH is an expert when it comes to illicit affairs, and that's why experience is essential for getting good investigative results.

The beggar ajussi says that KH's wounds are deep. (I still don't know what the deal is with this man, but he's got some insights into the other characters.)

Chul Soo thinks Ajussi is talking about KH's arm from that morning, but Ajussi clarifies - deep wounds of love.

CS wonders if CH had wounded KH in love, since they knew each other from 7 years ago.

CH corrects him, saying that he was the one who was hurt.

CS asks what kind of relationship they had. CH replies - one where everything that was and wasn't to be seen, had been seen. :lol:

While CH is embarrassed by the past because KH had seen him with his pants down, KH is embarrassed because CH had witnessed her being slapped by the wife of a doctor she was having an affair with.

Kang Hyun remembers her own break up with the doctor. After his wife find out about the affair, he told her to quit, since he had no intention of leaving the hospital himself. He expected her to leave instead. <_<

i love the scenes where they all have mini accidents at the same time in ep. 1 & 2. its really funny. right now im watching ep.3. this is really a good drama. there's romance, comedy, seriousness & much more, all mixed up. it's just too bad it's not that popular in korea so i guess they wouldn't have a season2... & also.. no eng subs it :tears:

im really in love with this drama & all 6 characters are really lovable. :lol:
