Will Kim Joon’s “chestnut hair” become a new fashion trend?

Kim Joon recently changed his hair to a “chestnut hairstyle” for his drama.

With Kim Joon acting as genius detective Shin Dong Jin in KBS 2TV’s new drama, “Homicide Division,” Kim Joon changed his cute image 180 degrees.

The unpredictable character of Shin Dong Jin that Kim Joon plays is said to be unmatched in cyber investigations, but is actually a very timid character and gets scared easily. He is said to faint whenever he sees a dead body and draws frowns from the people around him.

Kim Joon’s stylist stated, “To match Kim Joon’s image of an unpredictable modern detective, we cut his hair short, and dyed it a bright chestnut color. Despite the simple styling, Kim Joon’s handsome features still stand out and received a lot of praise from the staff members.”

Kim Joon has received a lot interest for each of the hairstyles he had. Fans are wondering if Kim Joon’s new hairstyle will be the beginning of a new fashion style.

Kim Joon reveals still cuts of his character on “Homicide Divsion”

KBS 2TV’s upcoming drama, “Homicide Division”, have revealed still cuts of T-Max’s Kim Joon!

Kim Joon plays the role of the Homicide Division’s maknae investigator, ‘Shin Dong Jin,’ who has a smart head but an odd tendency to run away from crime scenes that involve corpses or blood. Although he seems quite average, his hilarious and unpredictable character is expected to give the drama some comedic relief.

The idol introduced his character by expressing, “‘Shin Dong Jin’ is smart, but he also comes from a wealthy family so he looks as if he’d lack nothing. He actually has a lot of fear and a habit of fainting, so he’s a fun character overall. One of his biggest charms is his ability to make others laugh, even in serious situations.”

The drama will begin airing on March 7th.

Actor Kim Joon’s fans have delivered a gigantic amount of gifts in food and drinks to KBS’s ‘Crime Squad’ team.

DCInside’s ‘Kim Joon Gallery’ and T-Max’s (group Kim Joon is a member of) fancafe ‘Go T-Max’ delivered snacks worthy of 100 people from the start of ‘Crime Squad’ filming, a total of four times, handing out each personally to Kim Joon’s co-actors and actresses, as well as the staff.

On the assorted snack food gift boxes that include hand-made rice balls, donuts, rice cake, cake, cookies, drinks, fruits, etc., individual stickers with Kim Joon’s picture on them show phrases such as, “Detective Shin Dong Jin is buying this time”, “Please take care of our young Shin Dong Jin detective”, “For viewer ratings that go over 70%”, and “We support you in the path of becoming the nation’s drama”, have been stuck on, showing their effort in preparing the gifts.

Kim Joon passed on his thankful thoughts through his Twitter, “’Crime Squad’ goes off running again with the food fans gave us!! Because of you guys, we can film well. Everyone, we ate it all thankfully!”

Meanwhile, Kim Joon is receiving the viewers’ love for his character of the smart brain detective on-site and clumsy pretty boy off-site.

“City of the Sun”
January 30 – MBC

Confession: I harbor affection for Kim Joon that, yes, admittedly, comes from his turn as part of the infamous F4 in the 2009 KBS hit drama, “Boys Over Flowers” (has it really been almost six years since then?!). But that’s not why “City of the Sun” is on this list (okay, fine, not the only reason). January dramas seem keen on giving us lots of light-hearted fare to go along with that hopeful, new feeling of the new year, but if you’re in the mood for something a little heavier, a little meatier, then look no further. I don’t mean to imply that “City of the Sun” won’t have its share of humor or that it is meant to be taken more seriously than the other dramas on this list, only that its subject matter sets it apart from the other offerings on the K-drama table. The story is based off a well-received Japanese novel by Jun Ikeido, and follows Kim Joon’s idealistic Tae Yang (“Sun” in Korean, hence the title of the drama), who struggles to keep his principles after he finds out the construction company he works for is involved in serious corruption.

News bites: January 10, 2015

Jung Joo-yeon (Aurora Princess) will be paired with Kim Joon (Endless Love) in City Of The Sun, based on Ikeido Jun’s popular 2010 novel, Tetsu no Hone. Kim Joon is the lead, who works at a large construction company. When he learns that his father’s death was somehow related to a bid-rigging scandal at the company, he’ll set out to enact revenge on the chairman. Vengeance won’t come easily, however, as he’ll fall into an ill-fated romance with Jung Joo-yeon, the youngest daughter of the construction conglomerate family. She has a cheerful personality and seeks out the best in people, but she’s outspokenly critical of architects who construct buildings solely for profit. What will she say when she learns her lover is trying to take down the family business? City Of The Sun premieres January 30 on MBC DramaNet.
