Kang Sung Hoon (born February 22, 1980) is a vocalist formerly from the group Sechs Kies.

He was the lead vocalist of Sechs Kies and referred to having the best singing voice almost as Kangta's voice.

After Sechs Kies had ended, Kang Sung Hoon was considered to be born-again as a singer, and working under Laful Entertainment, but now is working for NH Media Entertainment. There were some little rivalry as Sung Hoon released 4 albums, as the leader of Sechs Kies did; Eun Ji Won. He served military time along with Lee Jae Jin,also a Sechs Kies member in 2006. In 2002 Dynamic Korea, he performed on stage with Eun Ji Won, and also J-Walk, the duet consisting of 2 former Sechs Kies members Kim Jae Duc and Jang Su Won. On January 22 of 2007, Kang Sung Hoon participated in a fashion show called "Han Bok" which is to raise money to build homes for others. His nickname Hoony is the title for his 3rd album. Sung Hoon is currently in military training and will return during April.

I'm surprised his thread here just got opened recently. Well, I've heard of his songs from a few years ago, actually in 2004 but never really paid much attention because I wasn't really in to K-pop then. But now, I'm recently hooked! I never knew he was one of the vocalist from Sechs Kies! That was a surprise. But yea, I love his songs. I've only listened intently to his 3rd album. It's SO good. <3

I hope you post pictures of him in your first post. I've never seen the guy, really. lol. Actually, my sister just reminded me that I've seen him in a nonstop 4 episode before. LOL But I don't really remember how he looks like.

He's got the best voice in Sechs Kies... He's cute when he was in the group... When he went solo, he looked hot... Out of all the members, I think he had a really great solo career... I haven't heard from him in ages... So would there be a reunion after April then?

I think Jiwon is the only one with a separate thread-- we talk about everyone in the Sechskies thread. And today (in Korea), it's his birthday. ^^

Ohhhhh... Kang Sung Hoon.. I got my friend liking him for awhile, which her dad wasn't too happy with me for getting his daughter into Korean music. Anyways, I remember getting jealous over Hoonie's hair because he had like the nicest hair ever!! Go Hoonie go Hoonie GO!! :blush:

i asked one of my friend and he's a korean.

he said that kang sung hoon is now writing songs for other artist.

i dont know if that's true.

i really love his song especially "the precious story"

Does anyone know what he's been up to lately? According to the top of the page he would finish his army training in April? Has he completed his service? Is there ANY news on him?? I'm really curious because he basically disappeared out of thin air after like 2004-ish (?). Last I heard was that he enlisted to do his service after he'd already joined...I just thought of him because I've seen so many Sechskies members around lately....

i was such a huge hoony fan in 2005/2006.. wow..

hes still my fav korean singer i guess.. since i dont listen to any kpop anymore :S
