celest1al
Robert Downey Jr. This man acts with his eyes. So expressive. I've always thought his eyes were absolutely gorgeous. I'm just glad he is finally getting more wide recognition because of his acting and Iron Man rather than his troubled past.
Guest mz simmonz
Yea I agree ALEXIS BLEDEL for sure! I noticed Eva Green had gorgeous eyes (or at least the way she used them) when she played Vespa in "Casino Royale" and I totally agree with whoever listed IAN SOMERHOLDER (one more pic of him! haha) I love hauntingly, piercing eyes that are almost translucent and squinty/seductive. Delster
come on people..... everyone knows that asians have brown eyes... may be darker or a bit lighter but its still brown... no offence i love brown eyes!! but among alllllllll the asian celebrities there is none with GREEEN eyes or blue...just brown...and go ah ra's eyes are considered reeeeeeeeeeeeeally unique and pretty just cuz they are a bit lighter shade than brown. but then .... she is a celebrity....they do all the lightings and stuff to make her eyes appear lighter and more special. maybe she doesnt have that hazel color in real life... but if she has... she is still considered special...cuz she has a bit lighter brown (hazel is a light brown shadow) and she is full korean....that means that its not usual at all to have that kind of color if ur asian...to not talk about other colors like green or blue. Peace! No green and blue eyes are possible for Asians. My English teacher has green eyes. Similarly there was a member here who posted pictures of her little sister who is of toddler age and they are confused because she has blue eyes. Look for it either in the beauty forum. Over the millenia, people from Europe and nordic areas moved into Asia and vice versa (colonialism, conquest, war etc.) causing far greater genetic diversities beit from interacial marriage and breeding or rape. Even though a family may be considered a 'pure' Asian family, this might not have been the case hundreds of years ago from an ancestor and that in manifest in descendants in the present day. Dark eyes are the dominant gene ( which can just cover up a recessive gene 'b' (causes green/blue/hazel). If mother and father have a 'b' (i.e. Bb or bb) gene and passes it on there is a chance of the child getting a different colour eye. But eye colour isn't completely dependent on the mother/father as it's polygenic. I'm just going to copy and paste the next part: Asians collectively have the full spectrum of human eye colors. Eye color is polygenic so it does not come in discrete colors, but rather a continuous spectrum from green to blue to brown. Far East Asians usually have brown eyes, but sometimes naturally have green, green/blue or blue eyes. Southeast Asians also mostly have brown eyes although a few naturally have green, green/blue or blue eyes. Subcontinent Asians have a greater percentage of people with natural blue, blue/green and green eyes, but mostly they have brown eyes. Eye color is caused by melanin. (Coon, paragraph 20) This may be why Asians usually have dark brown eyes, being that they are usually a dark skinned people. Blue eyes are caused by an absence of brown melanin, although the exact mechanism is determined by couple genes which are independent of skin and hair coloration.(Rincon) As eyes get darker due to brown melanin, they turn green. Green eyes are actually a mixture of brown and blue colors. The brown of melanin is actually dark yellow, so yellow and blue pigment combine to make green eyes. Guest KaiIem
I think people are more partial to blue eyes because it is the minority in eye color, and people seem to enjoy the minority. When I first saw this thread, I immediately thought Alexis Bledel (major Gilmore Girls Fan ^^)
Guest Ahmon17
for guys i'd have to go with Gaspard Ulliel, Josh Hartnett, and Hayden Christensen (his stare is fierce, reason why he was picked for movies) for girls I'm going with Adriana Lima, Alexis Bledel, Eva Green, and LEE HYORI!!!! Guest hotmonkey
^btw. go ara's eyes are natural lol just thought i'd put my two cents in Ben Barnes has the most intense eyes ever and so does Daniel Craig All asian do not have brown eyes. Yes a majority 99.999% do. My uncle has grey eyes and he is 100% chinese. Eye color has to do with the amount of melanin in your eyes. If you have a melanin deficiency it may result in different color eyes. Also my childhood friend who is also 100% chinese has hazel(brown, green, yellow, sometimes grey) eyes. Yes, it is rare but don't go saying that it can't happen or saying that Ara has fake eyes because of that. She may just be that person that is 1 in a million with a different color eye in korea. Go ara eyes might be natural but her "hazel" eyes are not THAT noticeable unless a lot of light is shine into it under normal lighting her eyes just look BROWN .... really nothing out of the ordinary like in these pictures http://images.smtown.com/PDSBoard/PdsArazzang/ZC3T0477_.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w211/Hi...ora/ouiasdf.jpg like i said asian "HAzel" eyes are not really noticeable....compare to white "hazel" eyes ... Guest Sasha100
For me the actual eye shape is more important than colour. I personally think if you have nice eyecolour but the shape of your eyes is ugly than it's a waste... Haha same here, thats why I love Adriana Limas eyes

I think you can say that lighting plays a huge part in any eyes. Yes there are Caucasian people like Alexis Bledel and Jessica Biel whose eyes stand out even in real life. But you look at that second picture of Robert Downey Jr and watch him in 'Iron Man' you never notice his eyes were that light. Or Amanda Stamford, watch her in ANTM, her eyes were noticeably blue but they don't look like they did. As with Jade, but you probably wouldn't agree with that as she's part Asian. For examples, pics of Kelly Clarkson in different types of lighting: I think you chose wrong pics of Go Ara cause they're both studio pics.
