is it true that Spotlight will go head to head with Lee Jun Ki's ancient drama Iljimae? If it does, its will be a rough competition for the ratings!! lets hope this drama will gather more viewers!!

kdramafanusa Ye Jin started shooting Spotlight, does it mean that the movie My Wife got Married already finish shooting? That was fast!

I wonder why there's not much news about her project...

"Spotlight" and "Iljimae" (SBS; starting around May 14th) will be on the same timeslot (Wednesday/Thursday 9:55pm). "3 Dads & 1 Mom" (KBS 2TV) runs from April 2nd to May 22nd; its replacement will continue on the same timeframe. They are different genres though.

Ye Jin is shooting "Spotlight" and "My Wife Got Married" at the same time, she's extremely busy.

I hope it doesn't clash that awfully with Iljimae though. Otherwise, that would be some tough competition, considering Iljimae is a saeguk and all that mysterious hype over it.

does that mean Who are you is extended or the drama will have only 1 episode this coming week just like On Air?

Noh Do Chul PD returns to the drama scene with MBC 2eps special drama "Our Happy Ending'" 우리들의 해피엔딩 which'll air after Who are you? ends in may. The drama's about the discords, meanings of a family seen though the eyes of a child. Cast includes : Park Soo Jin, Park Sang Min, Do Ji Won, Park Sang Myung , Sa Kang.

Description of the 2 main characters!

Seo Woo Jin (Son Ye Jin)/ 3rd year reporter

She learns that life is not easy during her junior reporter and second division reporter years, which was like a nightmare.

But she becomes full of hope from the fact that she may now be promoted and go one step closer to achieving her dream, as well as have an easier life at the same time.

But her dream is shattered after Oh Tae Suk, the legendary Cap who was sent to a district/countryside branch because of conflicts with his seniors, returns.

She has to start from the beginning after being sent to work in the second division again, and to make watters worse, she was given the task of training a junior reporter, Lee Soon Chul.

Woo Jin feels anger and even despair because Oh Tae Suk criticises her no matter how hard she tries, and no matter how well she does. But as she feels more and more anger (has a fighting spirit) towards Tae Suk, she is born again as a more aggressive reporter.

Oh Tae Suk (Ji Jin Hee)/Cap(tain)

He is the son of the legendary reporter, Oh Min Chul.

His father, who died trying to gather information for reporting in the Vietnam War, will be his role model forever. That's why he always wants to be on the scene.

As the fact that he has won the "Korean reporter award" three times consecutively suggests, he has great determination to fulfill the duties of a reporter. But because of his uncompromising personality, he always creates conflict within his team. But it's also difficult to fire him just in case another broadcasting company offers him a position (and make use of his great ability as a reporter). So to his seniors, he is a person to keep in check. To his juniors, he is a person of fear.

He was sent down to a district branch after arguing with the chief reporter about reporting a sensitive political matter. But he returns (to the main office) in order to save the local news (society) section from crisis, and starts to begin part 2 of his life full of vicissitudes.

It seems that they were asked when they became an actor/actress.

JJH said his first drama 'Juliet's Man' was aired in 2000.

SYJ said her first drama was aired in 2001, so JJH should be her senior.

But she then added that she had filmed her first CF in 1999.

wow, i missed Ji Jin Hee so much. good to see him back onscreen again acting opposite Son Yeh Jin. workplace dramas are always exciting, especially those centered around a newsroom and if it's as good as All About Eve, then Spotlight should be another runaway hit.

영화와 드라마를 넘나들며 활발한 활동을 해온 스타들이 브라운관에 속속 컴백할 예정이다.

김지수는 3년만에 안방극장에 복귀한다. 김지수는 KBS 2TV 수목드라마 '아빠 셋 엄마 하나' 후속으로 5월말 방송 예정인 '태양의 여자'에 출연할 것으로 알려졌다. 이로써 김지수는 2005년 3월 종영한 MBC 월화드라마 '영웅시대' 이후 3년만에 시청자들을 만나게 됐다.

2005년 영화 '여자, 정혜'로 영화 신고식을 치룬 후 '가을로', '로망스', '사랑할 때 이야기하는 것들' 등 주로 영화에만 주력해온 김지수는 오랜만에 만난 드라마 속에서 그간의 모습과는 또 다른 새로운 연기를 펼치게 된다. 극중 김지수는 출중한 외모와 뛰어난 능력, 좋은 배경 등을 두루 갖춘 엘리트 아나운서지만 좋은 집안에 입양된 고아라는 출생 배경에 대한 자격지심으로 인륜에 어긋에 짓을 저지르는 악역을 연기한다.

"박신양의 연기폭이 넓고 선비 이미지에 잘 맞아 캐스팅하게 됐다"고 밝힌 장태유 PD의 말처럼 박신양은 사채업자, 부랑아, 변호사, 사기꾼, 부성 가득한 아버지 등 어떤 역을 맡아도 자신만의 개성을 잃지 않고 캐릭터를 소화해내는 배우로 평가받는다.

후배 연기자들에게 롤모델이 되기도 하는 박신양은 이번 작품으로 첫 사극에 도전한다는 사실도 흥미롭다. 그가 갓을 쓰고 도포를 입은 모습은 보는 이에게 새로운 재미를 선사할 것이다.

"Woman of the Sun" PD Bae Kyeong-soo's previous work was "Famous/Seven/Chil Princesses". He also produced actress Choi Jin-shil's "My Rosy Life".

Son Ye-jin & Kim Ji-soo will be playing (somewhat similar roles)....Hmm....

I will see "Spotlight" for many reasons --- White Tower writer, the cast, I am partial to MBC production as well. It just happens that most of the shows I am looking forward to will be from MBC. For SBS, "Daemul" seems interesting too.
