I agree that Ryu Soo-young is one underrated actor.I think he is really good in portraying diverse characters from bad guy to nice guy...I mean it's good that he is slowly getting noticed because of his acting ability. I hope that we get to see more of him in good productions in the future

first saw him on save the last dance. i like him better than the lead actor in STLD. found him cute in 18, 29. waiting for more romantic dramas from him

Too bad for both of them, but at least they've both played lead in 18 vs. 29 & Three Leaf Clover, respectively

I've seen two dramas that he starred in, Bright Girl and Save The Last Dance For Me..haven't seen 18 vs. 29!

Just like my long-time crush, LIM RYU JIN, he played supporting roles in famous dramas..villains, the like, etc

Well, I just wish that both actors would be noticed by directors someday..THEY REALLY GOT THE POTENTIALS

Anyway, he was pretty good in 18:29. That's the only drama I watched with him in it.

Ever since I saw him in in STLD and in Bright Girl, I always thought that he would be a perfect leading man -- he makes for a good villain BUT he is far too handsome and leading-man good-looking. SO, finally, in 18 Vs. 29, I thought that all his best qualities were shown to their fullest. He was just perfect in that role. I really wish that he would get more leading roles for he is such a good actor AND a great-looking guy!

He is a Virgoan. He is known to be a stickler for cleanliness and tidiness. He is hardworking and not easy to read.

He studied at Myeong Ji Dae University and specialised in management.

In Successful Story of a Bright Girl, he held his own as a villain playing a much older man than his 23 years. Although Jang Hyuk was brilliant in his potrayal of the chaebol, Ki Tae, Su Young showed his acting talent as Joon Tae his rival. Joon Tae who loves the daughter of the Chairman of a cosmetics company where both he and Ki Tae works. He feels jealous of Ki Tae because not only the girl he loves, loves Ki Tae but he is overshadowed by Ki Tae at work. Su Young's was able to convey to the audience his intense jealousy and resentment towards Ki Tae in this entertaining series.

In an interview with a Japanese magazine, a few interesting things about Su Young came up:-

What does he do during his free time?

Su Young answers that he likes to read and exercise. He mentioned wakeboarding and scuba diving. He has been to the Philipines for diving and is even a licensed scuba diver.

Any enthusiastic fans?

Su Young answers that most of his fans are in their 30s (LOL) and that he has met some during flights. He expressed his pleasure at meeting fans and how grateful he is to have them (Aww!)

Was there a time that you got really angry?

Su Young answered that it was during a truly radical demonstration. He hates violence.

nope, he's not a virgoan..his zodiac sign is CANCER..yup, 18 vs. 29 was already aired here in our country a few months ago..i haven't got the opprtunity to watch it

When asked whether he would love and older woman, Su Young answered that to understand each other, a person of the same age would be the best.

As for whether he would want a sexy lady, Su Young laughed and said "Which man wouldn't?!! but seriously a simple woman would be my best match"

He also said that his first love was a fellow student in the university and that he regretted it did not work out but they were still friends and do keep in touch with each other.
