Guest t.luu
I'd always wanted to dye my hair but never got the chance to because of my parents. So, what happens when mother dearest is out of town for the weekend, and father dear has to work overtime on Saturday? > WORTH IT?: Yeah! Natural Hair type: Fine/straight/medium length Hair History: Virgin hair. Hair color Before: Dark brown/black with natural medium brown highlights. Hair color After: Dark ashy brown with medium brown highlights. Bleach?: Nope. Hair Dye: Revlon Colorsilk in 40 Medium Ash Brown Price: $2.97 @ Walmart Changes: My hair was softer and smoother after dying it ! And the dye claims to "leave your hair in better condition than before you colored". Description: I followed the included instructions, but left it in for about 30 minutes instead of the suggested 25 minutes. Not much of a difference but oh well. There's no funky ammonia smell, and my hair smells really good after. Also, it was the most inexpensive hair dye I found at Walmart, but it works great! Comments: After blow drying my hair, I was like, "... no difference? WASTE OF $3 D:<!" But I compared my before and after pictures, and noticed that even though the difference was subtle, I really liked it. No one could really tell if I hadn't told them, but basically, the dye had only changed the tones in my hair. It went from a reddish brown to ash brown. In some lighting, my hair looks like a natural black, which is something I had wanted before, but in sunlight, you can really see the greyish undertones. Seeing that at the moment, I was really looking for a light ash brown color [like Palty Jewelry Ash or Milk Tea Brown], I was a bit disappointed at first and felt like I should've left it in for maybe 45 minutes or bleached it first, but now I like the subtle change =) It means I won't get whooped by my mama x___x Before --> After I didn't have make up on in the before pic, so that explains the difference in my skintone. It's not a change in lighting =X I'll definitely update after a week or so to see if it has faded.

Guest MissBoAngel
Do you guys think blond would fit me ? if yes, any shade recommendations ? my hair right now is brown (2nd pic) with red highlights (first pic). (sorry for the red-ish tint, my hair mostly appears that color in the sun because of the highlights but it's a bit more brown)

Guest Seria
I have a question from all the veteran dye-ers XD. Im thinking of dyeing my hair brown for the first time soon, however, the only worry of mine is that, I have dry hair because I always dry+hot iron it whenever i go out (if i dont itll be all weird and poofy) so I'm just scared that this+dyeing would completely ruin/damage my hair (but i do those hair treatment things to remedy the abuse, if i may say so). Would it? :s Thankyou so much <
Guest iAM_Vindicated
MissBoAngel.. I think blonde would fit you. You have an edgy look so it wouldn't look awkward if you went blonde

Guest MissBoAngel
^ yeah i think it would be rather cute if you kept up with dying the roots (some people can pass without) and kept your haircut clean and sharp (you know edgy..) :)
taiwanpride
Alright so I have a pressing question that I need answers to quickly... This sounds very stupid, but can you keep leftover hair dye for later uses? I didn't mix the entire contents, I still have developer left in the bottle and the hair dye cream in a separate tube. I heard things about how it can explode or something, but other people said they kept it and re-used it and nothing happened. I don't really understand how it would explode, but I would like to keep it for when my streaks fade out and to touch them up.

Guest teddie.pjs
I was just wondering... If I have black asian hair, do I need to bleach it first before I dye it? Because I was planning on using palty this summer... does palty hair dye already have bleach in it, or will it come out looking no different as my original hair colour? ;_; Sorry, I'm such a noob :C
Guest pixai
^ I think it depends on what color hair you're trying to achieve.. and what box you're using for palty.. If you want a color like, really light brown, its probably better to bleach.
