[MNET] A Mini-Series About Her Learning to Sing Live.
Hyun Young's Vocal Training

This is a mini-series done in association with Mnet that shows how and what she did to improve her singing voice and be able to sing live.

There are no subtitles available for this at the moment.

Aside from being a mini-series, the episodes themselves are pretty short (20 minutes on average) so if anyone wants to volunteer to sub this show then they won't be in for nearly as much work as usual.

thanks for starting this thread Diavle! i still haven't seen it yet, but will soon!

i like Hyun Young.. and from what you've said about the show in the Hi Five thread, this show seems interesting!

i wanna see Lee Jung and DJ DOC too ^^ they're really funny.

Just to let you know, they are guests and not permanents (though Lee Jung does appear twice). Aside from them other ppl come in as well to help her out.

Oh and I hope you don't mind me ripping off your thread format lol.

yeah.. that's fine... as long as they're in it. i didn't expect them to be there for everything ^^

Added episode 2 to the first post.

I don't know the name of the second guest (you can see her in the first pic) so if you do then let me know.

Her dog wouldn't stop barking when she sang lol and eventually decided to

doze off

in protest.

One of the songs they make her practice is Fly me to the Moon, which is my fave song

actually the only song I like and whose lyrics I don't ignore

. Destiny does work in mysterious ways hehe.

and yeah... use my format... lol... i've seen other ppl use my format without asking... <_< lol... JK...

but since u asked nicely... of course u can! :D

Yeah, I tend to be too nice. Its a curse I can't seem to shake off...

P.S. The next ep will have Lee Jung.

i'll try and figure out her name... i can't tell from the picture... but if they say in the episode, or even better have text of her name in captions, i'll romanize it.

i still haven't even seen the first episode yet >.< i've got so much catching up to do.

yeah.. the mods always fix up the thread titles.. they've got a special format they like to follow. hehe...

i'll try and figure out her name... i can't tell from the picture... but if they say in the episode, or even better have text of her name in captions, i'll romanize it.

Yeah, they show the process. In addition to BMK, various guests come and give her tips etc (she even goes to a doctor who tells her more about how voice works).

It looks pretty in depth but I can't say for sure because there are no subs for the show.

Episode 1:

- also had appearances by Solbi and Brian before the filming of Jihwaza... (u can add that info to the first post if u want)

- you can tell this is something she really wants to work hard on, even tho she knows she could just stick to entertaining/modeling

- she got really emotional at some points... >.< she's trying hard~

- hehe... she brought along her dog to the set of Jihwaza! and it's on Brian lap ^^

- i love the "Magic Castle" song

Episode 2:

- she's already showing some improvement...

- the nasally-ness and high-ness has decreased somewhat.. she needs to work on them... since it's the most noticeable thing! as well as controlling her voice.

- lol... at her singing at home... her dog was barking at her singing!

- when BMK was teaching her how to breath in, it looked like Hyun Young was about to throw up trying to do it!

Diavle: about the second singer you wanted the name of.. i don't think she's a singer... i think she's just a vocal trainer... they didn't put captions of her name... and i didn't hear the voice-over guy say her name either... i kinda went through that part a couple of times and still didn't hear it... sorry...

Bonus Footage:

- hmmm... she's improving, but still needs a lot of work!!

- her dog's so cute~ her singing put it to sleep (?)

Episode 3:

- gosh, she practices everywhere she goes!

- Lee Jung and her vocal lesson was pretty funny.. he's like, teaching her how to scream (?)

- i love lee jung.. he's funny and has a great voice ^^

- they sing that song Hyun Young sings to her guys on Heroine 6 (and sometimes on Hi Five)

- her voice still gets so high, hehe.. but it's getting better... sorta~

- i feel sorry for Lee Jung... having to restrain from releasing his frustration!

Aaah, that's it for now... looks like BMK is back for next episode. can't wait to see when DJ DOC come on tho~

i'm guessing that Lee Jung is a vocal teacher as well as a singer.

in Infinity Challenge he coached jung Hyun Don a little as well.

he was just singing for the Christmas Special episode when they did the Thank You Concert.

He was preparing and Lee Jung helped him out.

Nah, I'd rather ppl watch it because of her and not some cameo appearance.

jung hyun don sings?!

All I know about his voice is that him and Haha are voicing the leads in some new Korean animated movie, so its gotta count for something.

Is there an epsidoe 4?

also can someone tell me the schedule?

I wanted the show to get a proper run so decided to let it sit for a while on youtube so that ppl could get acquainted with it and not have it be lost amongst the other shows I'm upping, the first releases were slow for this reason.

There are 4 more lessons to go, I'll be posting 2 tomorrow (look forward to DJ Doc) and the final 2 the day after (look forward to more Lee Jung).
