After watching EP7&8 I remember the movie Twilight where vampires live among humans.   Zombie MY wonders about returning to being human.  When I read articles which mentioned a  possible romance between MY&SJ,  since zombie MY lived in kdrama universe, I tried to think of the difference between zombie and human. Then I remembered this dialogue:
MY: ‘Heart doesn’t even beat. It has become cold.
SJ: It’s warm…
Maybe with help from the almighty power of kdrama love, SJ can ignite MY’s dead heart and he becomes human… something like that…
But now I think maybe it’s about their relationship which could be a romance at the end ,or maybe something different because MY can’t change being undead.

@booha, thanks for sharing this. According to Nielsen Korea, “Zombie Detective” recorded average nationwide ratings of 3.7 percent from last night's EP (October 13). I really wish that the drama had a higher rating, though. It is such a good drama!  :blush:

**  Okay currently there is talk about possible Season 2.  I have the impression that the ending might depend on whether there will be Season2?  The writer created a very interesting and unique zombie character in this drama.  I see there are so many more possible sub-story lines.    It would be such a waste of time and effort by everybody if it doesn’t get Season2.  It was an interesting experience to watch a drama which has a mixture of detective suspense, B-class comedy /&  black comedy extra…  :doggie:

Filming ends yesterday (10/17)... Season 2 Production in talks

All shooting of BS 2TV's Mon-Tue entertainment drama ‘ZD’ has ended.  The 4 month itinerary is coming to the end with the last 4 episodes.  The ZD team says it is working hard for a successful finish.

 

‘ZD’ is a zombie-symbiosis-human comic drama in which a zombie in the second year of resurrection becomes a detective and struggles to find his past.    Becoming aware of its own self/consciousness, zombie KMY(CJH) deals with situations that take place while mingling with humans, and discovering the secrets of his past as human.    It's different from the zombies we've seen so far.

Although it is a zombie, it does not harm humans but rather helps humans.
This is the point of differentiation from other zombie works.  This zombie saves GSJ(PJH) from danger and protects a puppy instead of eating it. Being warmer than humans draws a more favorable impression.

 

With 4 episodes remaining until the end, the truth about KMY’s past began to be revealed more clearly.    As a private bodyguard, it was directly related to the victim of the Santa abduction case.
With the help of GSJ, who uncovers the truth of the Santa's kidnapping case and works with Zombie KMY, the point of watching is whether he can adapt to human society and live as a member.    It is noted what kind of ending will be concluded.

 

An official of 'Zombie Detective' said, "The filming that took place since last June ended on the 17th.    Regarding the ending, I can’t talk about it."

 

There is a positive discussion going back and forth about Season2.
'Zombie Detective' is the first original content created by terrestrial KBS and OTT Wave and IPTV BTV.
It’s the first attempt which makes it different, and since it is broadcast through TV after pre-release every Saturday in Wave, the specific figures( ratings?) were not disclosed by Wave and BTV, but the reaction was good internally, so the talk of Season2 was released.    
The three companies that participated in the production, as well as the production crew and actors, are cautiously talking about Season 2, so interest is focused on whether actual production can take place in the future.

*** The ratings for Monday-Tuesday dramas of terrestrial and cable are at a standstill. According to Nielsen Korea, a ratings for KBS 2TV's drama "Zombie Detective" last night recorded 2.4% and 3.1% (Ep.9). Both terrestrial Monday-Tuesday dramas fell slightly from the previous episode and remained unchanged. :anguished:

*** Choi Jin Hyuk will make his special appearance in tvN’s new drama Queen Cheorin (literal title). According to a media outlet, an official from the production company said, he will appear as an important role in the drama. I'm looking forward to this. Queen Cheorin takes place when a free-spirited chef’s spirit somehow finds its way into the body of Queen Kim So Yong (Shin Hye Sun) in the Joseon dynasty. It tells the roller coaster story of Queen Kim So Yong, who now has the soul of a wild man, and two-faced King Cheol Jong (Kim Jung Hyun). I'm curious & excited what he'll show this time. Choi Jin Hyuk recently finished filming for Zombie Detective, which now only has two episodes left. :blush:
