Joo Sang Wook And Lee Min Jung Go On A Wintry Date In “Fates And Furies”

Joo Sang Wook And Lee Min Jung Go On A Wintry Date In “Fates And Furies”

by L. Kim

SBS’s “Fates and Furies” released stills of Joo Sang Wook and Lee Min Jung!

“Fates and Furies” is about four men and women — Goo Hae Ra (played by Lee Min Jung), Tae In Joon (played by Joo Sang Wook), Cha Soo Hyun (played by So Yi Hyun), and Jin Tae Oh (played by Lee Ki Woo) — who are surrounded by conspiracy, secrecy, greed, lust, and revenge as they become entangled with one another.

In one of the photos, Joo Sang Wook and Lee Min Jung are taking a walk by a stone wall in an empty park covered with snow. Lee Min Jung is dressed in a bright brown coat, light gray muffler, dark blue jeans, and white boots, while Joo Sang Wook sports a casual and stylish look in a dark gray checked coat and a black muffler. Despite their wintry outfits, Lee Min Jung looks cold with her hands stuffed in the sleeves of her coat, and Joo Sang Wook also has his hands deep in his coat pockets to keep them warm.

In the second photo, the two characters stop walking and make eye-contact while facing each other. It’s finally the time for Joo Sang Wook to confess his true feelings. Despite the heart-fluttering moment, Lee Min Jung doesn’t seem excited. She is feeling guilty because Joo Sang Wook is falling for her without knowing her relationship with Lee Ki Woo.

The production crew explained, “In episodes 13 to 16, the viewers will be able to see what choice Tae In Joon makes after the engagement with Cha Soo Hyun when he is once again shaken by Goo Hae Ra. Please watch to see if Goo Hae Ra and Tae In Joon will be able to overcome the strong obstacle Cha Soo Hyun to fulfill their romance.”

Episodes 13 to 16 will air on December 29 at 9:05 p.m. KST.

Good-Looking Actors Who Have “Wook” In Their Names

Good-Looking Actors Who Have “Wook” In Their Names

Jan 11, 2019
by C. Hong

There seem to be a lot of talented and handsome actors with “Wook” in their names in the Korean entertainment industry!

Joo Sang Wook

His clean-cut looks, sweet voice, and even variety sense has earned Joo Sang Wook a reputation for playing perfect-on-paper men with a secret vulnerable side. His marriage in 2017 to former co-star Cha Ye Ryun has only cemented his image as Mr. Perfect and the couple welcomed their first child in July 2018.

He is currently starring in “Fates and Furies” alongside Lee Min Jung, his former co-star in “Cunning Single Lady.”

Lee Dong Wook

His visuals need no explanation and neither does his popularity! Although always recognized as talented and good-looking, his popularity exploded in 2016 when he starred as the grim reaper in tvN’s hit drama “Goblin.”

His chemistry with both Gong Yoo and Yoo In Na were huge factors in his popularity – and to many fans’ delight, he and Yoo In Na have reunited for a new drama together, “Touch Your Heart,” which will be available on Viki!

Ji Chang Wook

Another fan favorite, Ji Chang Wook’s solid acting skills and handsome face frequently get him listed on women’s ideal type lists. He is currently completing his mandatory military service, which began in August 2017 and will end in April 2019.

After making a name for himself in action-oriented dramas like “Healer,” “Whirlwind Girl 2,” and “The K2,” he showed he could do more traditionally romantic roles in “Suspicious Partner.”

Kim Dong Wook

Kim Dong Wook is known for his perpetually boyish looks despite being in his mid-30s. He first made a name for himself with a supporting role in “Coffee Prince” and has since branched out to period films like “The Concubine” and musicals like the Korean adaptation of “Legally Blonde.”

His most recent projects include roles in the “Along with the Gods” film series and starring in the OCN horror drama “The Guest.”

Kim Jae Wook

Kim Jae Wook is known for having two sides – the charismatic side that he shows onscreen in thrillers like “Voice” and “The Guest” and the soft, sweet side he shows to fans who ask him for photos and autographs.

Interestingly, Kim Jae Wook and Kim Dong Wook both took on supporting roles in “Coffee Prince” and reunited in the lead roles in “The Guest” more than 10 years later.

Lee Jin Wook

Lee Jin Wook has built up a solid filmography over his career, including “Glass Castle,” “Nine: 9 Times Time Travel,” and “The Time We Were Not in Love,” but he recently experienced a resurgence in his career starring in thrillers like “Return” and “Voice Season 2.

Many fans pick his scene in the movie “The Beauty Inside” as one of his most legendary scenes.

Ahn Jae Wook

Although a little older than some of the actors on this list, Ahn Jae Wook was one of the first Hallyu stars after his role in the drama “Star in My Heart.” He has an acclaimed reputation both on screen and on stage and recently became a fixed member of Netflix’s Korean variety show, “Busted!”

by U. Kim

JTBC’s highly-anticipated comedy drama “Welcome to Waikiki 2” will be premiering soon!

The drama follows a young group of men and women at a guest house named Waikiki as they deal with the hardships of life in the brightest and most cheerful way possible. Following the first season that received lots of love for its relatable and entertaining story, the second season will show the crazy antics of the main characters as they try to get through their lives.

Here are three things to look out for when watching the drama:

Superb acting skills

Several gems were discovered through the first season of “Welcome to Waikiki,” which is why the the expectations are high for the new cast members of the second season. Lee Yi Kyung will continue to play the funny yet slightly pitiful Lee Joon Ki, while Kim Seon Howill play Cha Woo Shik, an unsuccessful idol who aspires to be a singer again. Shin Hyun Soo will represent all of the problems of youth as Kook Ki Bong, a man with a pure mind and soul. Playing everyone’s first love Han Soo Yeon is Moon Ga Young, and Ahn So Hee will play Kim Jung Eun, Joon Ki’s old classmate and a master of part-time jobs. Lastly, Kim Ye Wonwill take on the role of Cha Woo Shik’s sister Cha Yoo Ri, who rules over everyone at Waikiki.

A dream production team

Producing director Lee Chang Min and writer Kim Ki Ho are referred to as the “Dream team of laughter,” as they’ve succeeded in drawing endless laughter from viewers of the show’s first season. Regarding the differences between the two seasons, PD Lee Chang Min said, “It’s similar to the first season in that it’ll be fun and easy to watch,” and the screenwriter shared, “It has a similar atmosphere with the first season, but this season is more comical, and the scale of the characters’ accidents and events has gotten much larger. Keep an eye out and look forward to the countless events that will fall on the three old high school classmates. The new characters are all young people having trouble solving problems in their lives, but they have the energy and passion to follow their dreams. I wanted to show how the positive energy of youth can overcome adversity.” Together, the “Dream team” assured that they will make people laugh uncontrollably and help rid them of stress.

Special cameos

The amazing cameo appearances from the first season will continue in the second season. Actors Park Sung Woong, Kim Seo Hyung, Lee Deok Hwa, Yoon Se Ah, and Kim Ki Hyunhelped make the previous season shine, and in the new season, Joo Sang Wook, Oh Na Ra, Lee Si Eon, Jung Man Sik, Moon Hee Kyung, and other skilled actors will make special appearances. It is worth looking forward to how these actors will interact with the main cast and make the drama even more enjoyable.
