No, you do not need thick hair to pull of short hairstyles. People say with thin hair it's easier to style, whereas with thick hair it's much difficult, unless you favor flat head styles haha. I have super thick hair...so it's harder for me at times.

Girls with boy hairstyles?  What's the point?  Do you want to be boys now? Maybe get a sex change??  

I have never seen this pulled off, like, at all.  Finding a blonde haired Asian who looks above average (very very rare) is way more common.  

Than again, so many boys these days here in China (and from what I saw in Korea and in the media) look so feminised, I suppose the gender line is being blurred and soon we won't be able to tell what is what.  Maybe that will be the decline of the human race?  At some point, we won't even be able to tell the difference between genders?

Whatever, I am classic long black hair and prefer to stay that way and I like the men, well, manly, and women, feminine!
