Hello guys! We have updates to share with you about the Reply 1994 DVD!

1. Extended edition DVD/Blu-ray
-The director (Shin Won Ho) is currently preparing for his next work thus cannot do the editing himself.
-Therefore, the DVD will now be an "Extended edition" rather than a director's cut.
-The editing will be done by the same editing director who edited all 21 episodes of Reply 1994. (He did not edit the Epilogues)
-All episodes will be re-edited and will include as much deleted scenes as possible especially any emotional scenes that were cut out.
-Director Shin has already discussed with the editing director and handed over his directions in the editing.
-Once the editing is completed, it will be reviewed by Director Shin himself

2. Special features (Commentaries, interviews, making & blooper)
-The recording date for the commentaries and interviews has been confirmed
-Commentaries will be done for 2 episodes (Episode 8 and 17)
-Actors will be interviewed individually and also as a couple (Nareki & Poman)
-Currently Go Ara, Jung Woo, Kim Sung-Kyun and Do Hee have confirmed their attendance and other actors haven't confirmed yet due to their busy schedules.
-Brief details of the special features will be revealed before advance payments are made and will be completely revealed after the editing is complete late March.
-Special features are estimated to be around 500 minutes in total

3. Details of Blu-ray and DVD
a) Blu-ray
-Cost: 220,000 Won (approx US$210)
-Quality: 1080p (Episodes) and 1080i (Special features)
-Discs: 13

DVD
-Cost: 132,000 Won (approx US$125)
-Quality: 480p
-Discs: 14

Although the number of discs are different, the content will be exactly the same between Blu-ray and DVD
Blu-ray will only be produced if the demand of 1000 is met. As you can see, the image quality of the Blu-ray and DVD is very different.
This is the first time a TV series is being produced on Blu-ray in Korea, thus the producing company has reduced the costs as they are very keen to make this happen. This price is only for those who make advantage of the advance payments. Once distributed offline, the price of Blu-ray will increase.

4. Advance payment Period
-Blu-ray: 2 weeks starting from 20th of February (20/02/2014 ~ 06/03/2014)
-DVD: 1 month starting from 20th of February (20/02/2014 ~ 20/03/2014)
-For those of you who have already shown your interest to us via email, we will let you know as soon as the website for advance payment is open.
-Bonuses for those who take part in the advance payment has not yet been confirmed, but producing company are working on it and will be revealed before payments are made

5. Etc
-Release date: Estimated to be late April or May
-No subtitles (including Korean and English)

“Reply 1994’s” main couple, Go Ara and Jung Woo, shared a warm embrace in a recent concert. The tvN drama held a special concert titled, “Reply 1994 Drama Concert” on February 15. During the concert, fans were able to watch special performances by the drama’s actors. As the drama utilized famous and nostalgic songs by past singers such as Blue, 015B, and Kim Jo Han, “Reply 1994’s” Go Ara, Jung Woo, Kim Sung Kyun, and Do Hee showed their own renditions of some of the 90’s songs.

However, most notably, Go Ara and Jung Woo showed their affection towards each other by sharing a warm embrace causing fans to scream in excitement. Despite the drama having ended last year, the friendship remains between the actors. “Reply 1994 Drama Concert” welcomed a diverse group of audience ranging in ages from the 10s to 50s, depicting the popularity of the drama.

We hope to see this special cast remain close friends in the years to come!

Just want to pop in to say that I am SO GLAD that Ara is seriously considering the LSG drama instead of the previous SSH drama that just sounded like a messy melodrama that will go down in flames. 
I'm quite excited to see her future performances. You have quite a bright future and a beautiful heart to stabilize your walk in that path, Ara.
